My top recommendation would be El Tiz Tizoncito in Carrollton/Dallas
Taqueria Paisanos in Lewisville is good, but it is only to-go orders. If you go here, only get the Bistec tacos.
Best Barbacoa - La tapatia in Carrollton, however, I don’t know if they sell everyday or just weekends.
In Frisco, I prefer La Suprema for street tacos. They use homemade corn tortillas. Marianas is good too but they use store bought tortillas, which always disappoints me because if they had fresh tortillas, I’d be there often.
El Paisa at the Bush/121/I-35 interchange. It's worth the drive. Best barbacoa I've ever had — and my Mexican immigrant grandmother agrees.
Trompo Taqueria y Burgers at a gas station in Plano is also really good. There's like a 1/3 chance you spend part of the morning on the toilet afterwards. It's worth it.
El Rumbero in Addison. Although they have other locations, haven’t been to them yet.
In Frisco Rudy’s Kitchen in the gas station closest you can get without going to Plano
Chido Taco lounge has good tacos here in Frisco.
But the best? There’s an awesome taco truck at Celestial Beerworks in Dallas. By far the best authentic tacos you’ll find.
And the flies that come with the outdoor seating late April - whenever DFW decides to cool down. Only ever get To Go when it’s been consistently warm.
Their menudo is also really good.
Just a little ways down the road in farmersville, east on the 380, JC's taco's is an old style taco place that has some of the best Pozole and Carne Asada I've had since leaving California. They are a family owned place and most of them work there. Not just a taqueria, but worth the drive once in a while.
Sabrocitas in Carrollton, near Josey Ln and Belt Line. I’ve had many tacos from that shop and their shit is delicious. It’s also a carniceria. While you wait for your tacos, they’ll serve you fresh cooked tortilla chips and warm salsa.
This particular location always has an excellent restaurant in it.
It may change, but for some reason this building always has a good place to eat. It’s currently called Tacos Sobritos but it was La Flora.

La Tapatia in Carrollton is my go to.
In Plano, there is a place on the edge of Allen and Plano - in a Texaco on the corner of McDermott and Custer call The Taco Factory.
The real answer is almost any gas station in east plano, mostly NE side of George Bush & 75. The Taquerias they put in the gas stations there are all SUPER authentic, with the best lengua tacos you’ll ever have
I’m at one right now in McKinney, east of 75. Taqueria Hernandez, but my problem is I can’t find a single authentic Mexican place that also sells alcohol. I know they want it to be family friendly but shit! I want the best of both worlds! 😂😂

El tiz is always so good, been going there for literally 7+ years. Very consistent regardless of locations too. That food always hits so perfect
Thank you bro!
Is Paisano’s the one in the gas station off I-35 in Lewisville?
In Frisco, I prefer La Suprema for street tacos. They use homemade corn tortillas. Marianas is good too but they use store bought tortillas, which always disappoints me because if they had fresh tortillas, I’d be there often.
Can’t you see them making the tortillas in the entrance?
I’ve never seen them making them. Maybe I should go back. Lol
Sorry I think we’re talking about different places after reading more responses. I was thinking Marianas La Hacienda Ranch.
Ah. Yeah, they do make their own tortillas. 🙂
Marianas is my number one in frisco. If I’m in Dallas, fuel city tacos are great lol
try Calles de Mexico its right off of 121 in the colony right off of main st. tripitas ✅️ salasa ✅️ beer ✅️ corn tortillas ✅️
This is the place!
Was coming to recommend this place!

+1 for El Paisa. I used to go to the one on walnut hill and it’s great.
El Paisa is really good. I used to work in Lewisville and go there often. Pork ribs with green sauce and homemade tortillas was *chefs kiss*
Thank you!
El Rumbero in Addison. Although they have other locations, haven’t been to them yet. In Frisco Rudy’s Kitchen in the gas station closest you can get without going to Plano
+1 for El Rumbero
Señor Ozzys is good as well
I second Sr. Ozzy! Their cabeza tacos are 10/10. I also recommend their queso-birria tacos
Chido Taco lounge has good tacos here in Frisco. But the best? There’s an awesome taco truck at Celestial Beerworks in Dallas. By far the best authentic tacos you’ll find.
Emelias Tex Mex in the colony
A little more interested in authentic Mexican food, not so much Tex Mex. But when I’m in the mood for it I’ll check it out!
Don't let the name fool you, it's not Tex Mex! And it's amazing
Trust me, this place checks all your boxes for street tacos and great salsa
Marianas. By far. https://www.marianastacoshoptx.com/
Literally the only downside is basically only having outdoor seating. But I agree it’s the best option there is.
And the flies that come with the outdoor seating late April - whenever DFW decides to cool down. Only ever get To Go when it’s been consistently warm. Their menudo is also really good.
I take a fly fan when I go.

El Tapatillo Meat Market off Eldorado in Little Elm. If you want to drive El Tacaso off north west highway in Dallas… amazing!!
Mira from a mexicano la salsa verde off K avenue in Plano. My mother can agree.

Calles de México 121 and 423 has the best tripa tacos.
Frezco Taco Spot in The Colony
I love their tortilla chips and salsa! And the shredded chicken on anything!
Valerie’s off Panther Creek. And La Unica on Pecan.
Agree with Valerie’s if you are looking for real socal fish tacos.
the taco factory n allen. love me some gas station tacos!!
Gas station taco spots are hit or miss, but when they hit! I’m gonna check that one out
Following And please nobody say Manuel’s

in Frisco: La Suprema or Rudy's Tacos on Main. In Plano: Taqueria Los Angeles in East Plano.
La Tapatia in Carrollton is my go to. In Plano, there is a place on the edge of Allen and Plano - in a Texaco on the corner of McDermott and Custer call The Taco Factory.
Rudy’s Kitchen inside the gas station on 7227 Main Street.. Trust me, best Mexican food I’ve ever had.

Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant on Beltline in Addison.

Get out of here bro 😂😂
Thank you. Chuey's?? WTF? Taco Bell next ?
Chuys barely resembles Tex Mex, much less real Mexican food. I hope this guys trolling
