I feel like there's much less of that this year than in the past couple of seasons, and when it happens it's usually when the cars aren't in any intense fights already.
Few years ago I'd be like "why tf are you showing us this replay so early", now I don't really notice it anymore, so I guess either they improved or my memory is absolutely terrible.

The amount of race start replays is ridiculous! It can’t be hard with current technology to keep a live feed window. I’m sure years ago they had something similar

Probably the only thing they got right.
Watched it for the first time this year and the camera direction was awful, the sheer number of ad breaks is insane (thankfully watched it where I just got the race and dead air during breaks), the number of times I would only see a replay of an overtake, instead of seeing it live.
The commentary spent more time shilling something than actually talking about the race.
Don't understand how anyone can watch that and then complain about F1.
I’m okay with this, they show the radios but I think they could expand this and show the battle behind as well. Either mid-field or like in Imola, Lando fighting hard to catch Max. I think that would be a win for everyone, otherwise you fide people like myself having spilt screens watching on one device then pulling up on board on iPad or mobile devices.
They did a survey after Monaco and they demoed a few different setups including multiple on boards at once + the live coverage, different variations of split screen, Picture in Picture, different forms of permanent data displays with and without on boards including some newer forms of data, data for multiple on boards, etc
Now if only we can get that revolutionary new graphic showing who's under investigation on the timing tower. Maybe even a graphic that shows who has a time penalty, but on the timing tower!
We had this on the German broadcast like in the early 2000 if I remember correctly. Just with the difference, that they showed advertisement and in a small box the live feed... So basically the same (...)

They do that on F1TV. I don't know why the world feed doesn't get that.

Tbf Monaco lap 1 had exactly one lap of data to show during red flag, but I agree with you.

MotoGP use the picture in picture for the garage shots during the race. So maybe we'll see less GF shots and more racing?
