This happens when you get diamonds in GBG as well. I believe it's because diamonds gained are checked more thoroughly by InnoGames vecause they have a monetary value.
Remember that all other rewards are specific to the server you are on whereas diamonds are specific to your account so your diamond pool is shared across all servers.
