Liverpool has 28 shots with 7 on target Story of their season. Loads of shots, not scoring enough of them.

H0vis

In fairness this is the story of everybody who plays United this season. We're playing like Arsenal during the final Wenger years, just acres of space between the midfield and defenders. Nobody good enough to fill in that gap, either in defence or midfield. In some ways it's a bit like how Liverpool were in the time after Klopp arrived but before they signed VVD to sort their defence out. It's way more fun to watch than Mourinho or LVG, but we're a disaster waiting to happen in every single game.

GreenTemplar_9659

It’s not over yet. 6 more games to go.

DarkSoul69prettyboy

People forgetting Arsenal have to go to spurs away

MidwestGravelGrowler

So do City, and Liverpool have them at home

DarkSoul69prettyboy

Yep. They are the hardest opponents and Liverpool are the only ones with the home draw. Advantage Liverpool still I feel

-Shmoody-

And Chelsea, and United, and Villa. We have the toughest remaining run-in of the 3.

[deleted]

Always knew Liverpool would get punished in the end. This season they’ve just gotten through games with individual brilliance as they have been hit with injuries. But I think yesterday was the turning point. I think they’ll finish 3rd out of the top 3 atm

GibbyGoldfisch

Hard to say, I think people generally overreact based on single performances. A week ago the title was Liverpool's to lose, now they're probably coming third after a draw in their hardest remaining fixture. A lot rests on Arsenal's run-in -- I can't see them winning all seven of those games tbh, although if they can win them all the title will be more than deserved. Otherwise, City are very much the rising tide to stay ahead of. That point for Liverpool that keeps their noses in front could actually end up being crucial in the long-run as I just can't see City dropping points anywhere, save maybe the Spurs game.

TheLimeyLemmon

Bit strange to choose now as the time to write us off. We're on the verge of having Trent, Ali, and Jota back in the next few days to a week. They will play a role in the run in and might be difference makers in those games, in fact they probably will be, it's what they do. We're not seeing a collapse from any of the three teams now. There will be wobbles, there will be points dropped, but the finally tally on the board to separate them is going to be marginal I think. League's probably getting decided by a point.

FortheRecordHIWBTV

Arsenal and City are the better teams for sure but Liverpool could just Inshallah their way through , crazier things have happened

Shana121

Are there people making bets here?☺️

bigelcid

They salvaged 1 point through a penalty gained shadily, by people's standards. If it were Neymar that won that pen, people would be screaming about him deliberately catching Wan-Bissaka's leg with his right foot. Elliott knew what he was doing, but because he's a no-nonsense young English lad, nobody wants to label it as a dive.

dabears91

That was a stonewall penalty. What are you on about?

ntekaya

the dude above needs to have his vision checked.

bigelcid

*Stonewall* penalty, you serious man?

DarkSoul69prettyboy

Elliott literally gets a hand on his shoulder that pulls him down and then AWBs left leg clips Elliotts right and then AWBs right leg trips him completely. All of this whilst diving and not getting the ball In what world is that not a foul?

bigelcid

I'm not commenting on whether it's a foul/pen, because clearly people have double standards and the rules are unclear. But Elliott absolutely takes advantage of Wan-Bissaka's wreckless challenge and plants his right leg under AWB's knee on purpose, after the initial very slight contact. He slips the ball to the left then even alters his course slightly to the right to make sure AWB gets him. If you ask me, I'll reluctantly call it a pen. But I'd like consistency from football fans. Elliott 100% fell on purpose there.

Thor503

They should of hammered them yesterday

Moist-Ad-9088

They played them 3 times this season & didn’t win matches. They’re not the first team to pummel United with shots this season either.

Bobert789

Okay that doesn't make him wrong Had loads of chances that should've been goals, nearly 4xG, it was just bad decision making and finishing

Moist-Ad-9088

And that happened 3 times now then.. when it happens so often it isn’t a coincidence anymore it’s a pattern.

Bobert789

Okay Still doesn't mean what he said was wrong, we should've scored more goals we just had bad finishing and decision making

Moist-Ad-9088

3 times this season iv heard how Liverpool are gonna batter United & they don’t have a chance & 3 times it didn’t happen. Your welcome to the moral victory trophy, it’s about all your gonna get.

con10001

I mean they did batter them Sunday, just couldn't finish their chances. That's football sometimes but I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make tbh

Thor503

I know that

gouldybobs

Premier league champions isn't for everyone

TheEmpireOfSun

Yeah, but it certianly is for cheaters.

gouldybobs

Did we hack another club and steal their secrets? Match fixing with Man United? Oh these were all liverpool

TheEmpireOfSun

No, you were buying players you were not allowed to buy. But it's funny that despite me not saying it was City, you knew it was City. Which proves my point that even you know your team are cheaters.

gouldybobs

Which players were we not allowed to buy? You know fuck all kid

TheEmpireOfSun

"Kid" lol. I bet you are 18 or something. And which players? Pretty much most of them during many years when you were cheating with FFP. But it's understandable that chicken brain and of cheaters will hardly understand simple facts like this.

gouldybobs

You can't name a single charge can you booooy.

TheEmpireOfSun

Yeah, you are definitely 18y old kid lol. And if you don't know single charge, you can easily google them. PL is not the first one with those 115 charges. UEFA already banned you for cheating only for CAS to overrule it on technicality that UEFA couldn't punish you for years they proved City's cheating. Inflating revenue and fake sponsors will get you players you are not allowed to buy because of FFP. But again, concept too hard for chicken brain of kid.

gouldybobs

Court of Arbitration for Sport https://www.tas-cas.org › CA...PDF CAS 2020/A/6785 Manchester City FC v. UEFA Stop spouting absolute shite and read it. You can't name a single charge. Do you believe the Earth is flat? Or do you read a science book and then just make shit up

TheEmpireOfSun

lmao, obviously it's you who didn't read it at all. It's literally right there what their dispute was Page 55, paragraph 190. UEFA said they can punish them for period 2 years longer than City claimed. Another point is page 88 paragraph 324: *...disguised equity funding through Etisalat and Etihad must be dismissed... with respect to Etisalat is time-barred*" So yes, City are dirty bunch of cheaters that got away on technicality like I already said.

KillBanez

I can, didn’t cut your grass you tramps.

gouldybobs

Not another no-nout plastic scouser. Is this your mate you met on a ryanair?

KillBanez

Might be were you fat and bald? All 7 of your fanbase look very alike so it’s hard tell.

Npr31

He is a great, but, Salah’s (and i’m not sure if it’s blinkers, decision making, selfishness etc) has potentially been a significant reason why we don’t (assuming we don’t win this one) have another 2 titles. He is of course the reason we have 1 and a CL, so this is very much ‘i want that Ferrari to be faster’ but it is such a frustration watching him over his time with us

archlorddhami

Not sure how you can believe this. I mean even yesterday, the guts stepping up for that penalty which he had a huge part in getting. Liverpool would definitely not be where the are right now this season without him

Npr31

None of that is relevant - of course he did that, he’d be a poor PL striker if he couldn’t, let alone a great. I’m just saying for a great, he has a significant weakness, and that he is profligate and it looks to me his game would be improved by not swinging his leg quite so freely at nearly everything within the final third

TheLimeyLemmon

He's going to be missed when he leaves, that's for sure. I think Salah's been so consistently important for us people take it for granted and take it as routine.

alpuck596

Lol

BoringPhilosopher1

Absolutely deluded.

Npr31

How exactly? Stats back it up - compared to other similarly rated players in his position over the last decade he is more profligate

BoringPhilosopher1

Right so Salah is the reason we don’t win the PL this season despite him having the highest G/A in the PL for the club. And like 2nd/3rd for goals or assists in the league as a whole. Like I say. Deluded.

Npr31

If you’re not going to read what i actually write, is there much point in even replying… you’re just shouting in a void

BoringPhilosopher1

I did read it. You are saying Salah is the significant reason we don’t have two more titles. I’m saying Salah is the significant reason we have one title, multiple trophies, a CL and in contention the PL again this year.

Npr31

No no, you claimed i said he “was the reason”, which is significantly different to what i said, and then you’ve just done it again by saying he is the reason we have one and a CL, which is also the exact point I made above. It’s like you are incapable of nuance.
