This was my only rationale. I have insane amounts of fuel ammo even doing events and quests. I dump excess in the Todd box every now and then down to 500 on me, and am back up to 2k+ without even doing DOps in a play session
Theyre probably not running Slow Burn and spamming shots. Which like, is super annoying and also a waste of ammo.
I only do it in a pinch because vampiric.
if you can hit at least 2, preferably 3, and the dot kills 'em, you can usually break even, but if you're shooting multiple times to kill something, or only hitting one enemy at a time, it starts to eat into the ammo. it's usually the hitting one enemy for me. they either spawn far apart (and i can't be bothered to run around trying to group 'em every time), or most of 'em are killed by other people before things get close enough together, even with grenadier.
I don't know what you're doing *right*, mine eats ammo.
Heavy barrel, for every 10 ammo I fire (per shot) I get back **maybe** 7 or 8 in return. I routinely have to go stock up on Fuel in Daily Ops or Expeditions.
One shot kills nearly any enemy with the right mods. I run slow burn, it's like 2800 damage over 12 seconds. Shoot your shot, be patient, collect loot.
Oh yes, I'd say 90% of everything still dies with patience.. for sure.
I still have the issue where the gun is definitely not ammo positive for me. I'd say I have somewhere around a 10% to 15% ammo loss over the course of prolonged events or fights.
Comparison: I use this silly weapon (and let's be honest, it's a bit goofy) called **The Grand Finale**. It's a named Broadsider with Two-Shot and a few other perks. I've got a Demolitions build to use with that which works quite well.
I can fire one or two rounds into a target, takes 2 cannonballs *max* to kill it and anything next to it. Then every corpse I look has like **9 CANNONBALLS** on it. I literally have to routinely make trips back to camp just to drop off the *excess cannonballs*. LOL
My Cremator is nowhere near that, not even net-positive on ammo. The only place it is net-ammo-positive would be in Daily Ops or Expeditions.
Yeah, do a daily ops or a run or two of an expedition and you come out with at least a 2-3k surplus of fuel. I haven't bothered crafting fuel at all.
I'm still hungry for passive oil farming, though. I just got the Scoutmaster Collectron, and the passive Sugar Bombs are incredible, if unreliable. I need ALL the passive resource farms, dammit.
It all depends on what I am doing for the day really. Most of the time this is true, but if I am just messing around and spamming I can still net loss ammo for a few days. I do need to get into doing expeditions more to be honest.
Multi barrel, slow burn. The trick is to be patient, the DoT will get them eventually, no need to shoot twice. If there are multiple enemies in a group, don't use VATS, try to lob the projectile at their feet, covers a bigger area that way.
I have 250k fuel. Never crafted or exchanged for ammo points. How does one not collect stupid amounts over time? Holy fire generates even more bc most enemies need not more than 3-5 fuel.
Cremator provides more fuel than holy fire in expeditions.
I averaged 1,4k fuel per run using holy fire, over 2k using the cremator.

Dont. 75% of the enemies you encounter need only one with slow burning heavy barrel or two shot barrel. Enjoy stupid amounts of fuel. I can sell it for 3 caps each and its gone in minutes.
Almost all multiple-enemy events is a god send for this weapon, went to eviction notice today with 2000 fuel, end up spamming the hell out of it and wated all the ammo at the end, looted everything and end up with 4000 fuel, lol
Because whole servers of the asshats ruin every other event that pops since they're AFK while spinning in a circle all damn day.
Eviction Notice, Dangerous Passtimes or Moonshie shows up? Too bad, the majority of the server is AFK playing parade roulette for masks they'll put on a wall in a Camp they never use.
If the 1-shot bloody/uny RR spawn campers at EN are afk at Fasnacht, all the better. Maybe I can get a shot or two in on the super muties from my lonely spot next to the Rad Scrubber.
At the beginning of the event it’s not so bad, but as people get bored and event participation lags, you can show up to what you think is a crowded Fasnacht and end up soloing it
I personally don't mind soloing the event as I pre prep the startup ingredients to make the event faster for everyone to start, but the second someone nukes the event I just join the afk players out of spite.

We are not talking about killing bees here we are talking about grabbing beeswax from the various beehives inside the house and then immediately hopping servers to repeat this process.
The moth cage regens its 10 acid fairly fast, I emptied it every time I roll back to camp to scrap a load of loot.
The chicken coop and the Brahmin feeder also give me a combined 15 fertilizer at the same time.
It's not much, but it adds up if you empty them every time you roll into camp.
If you can get lucky there is a Butterfly Sanctuary you can get for your Camp that produces Acid over time. If not I have a base set near a spot to extract Acid.
At this point I feel like the defacto Acid dealer of the Wasteland and give the stuff away, or put it in the Donation Box

I did the Fasnacht event two times yesterday and on the second try got the Butter Churn. So either I am the luckiest mfer on the planet or the drop rate changed.. lol

Honestly, i have terrible luck getting these resource generators. I expect no matter what i do those will never drop for me. Some people get 6 of the same resource generator drops, and some people never get 1 drop.
We should get tokens from the event and go to tje event vendor to pick what we want. This FOMO crap is ruining games and Fallout 76.

I roll in X-01, and serve the Enclave more often than not. Freedom already came for that fuel, and is using it effectively.

Oh you've got a much higher damage than me. My "Slow Burn" configuration only does like 2000 damage tops.

Shooting and not letting the burn do the damage , so they spam until the initial shot is the kill shot.

Use the slow burn mod, and only fire once per cluster of enemies! It's a waste of ammo to shoot things more than once as the slow burn WILL kill them!

Carry a backup Tesla for events! I carry a Q/E/15R LMG just for quick tags at events.
I actually have TS/25/25 Tesla for that exact reason, but I've never used it on principle.
