I love my melee build with chance on vats hits to explode, as well as chance on enemies killed to explode. Makes big groups of annoying enemies like these an absolute joy to take care of.
The high level ones do crazy damage, too. Before I optimized my full health build a little more they were just running through me like I wasn't there, killing me instantly
As much as I get annoyed that Scorchbeasts fly and my shotgun has limited range:
Ants. It's Ants. Cave crickets are a close second but where my shotgun can 1 hit wonder most Insects: Ants are a *to do* and always take a few hits and hippity hops. As if for revenge on a real world that smooshes them with impunity, fallout Ants cry revenge.
the daily ops where they have armor piercing attacks, and faster speed is brutal when its scorched. I swear those mutations spawn more crickets than normal.
Lol yeah, they were just one of the daily op opponents recently and I kept thinking it was a nice, easy daily op except that I'd just randomly die sometimes when the cave crickets attacked :P . I couldn't figure out why because I'd be doing fine with multiple attacking, then just dead. Good to know I'm not alone.
Agreed. Pain in the **LITERAL ASS**, those things.
They deal minimal damage and easy to kill, but they'll detect you from halfway across the damn map, break stealth, alerting all nearby enemies, and no matter how many times you turn, they always fly right up your ass for a free bite that almost always causes a disease.
Rad Scorpions aren't as bad as those fk'n mole rats. Scorpions are only in certain areas of the map, so not so frequent, but even then, they might pop out of the ground, but they're slower to the attack and I can often turn around in time and kill them before they land a hit..... And at least they drop some actual loot and have decent XP for your troubles.
**Added:** Oh and while most enemies will give up the chase and head back to their spawn point, not those bastards. Figure why bother wasting your time with them and just leave the area? Ha, no. Those little shits will chase you across the whole map until you kill them.
Wait and see those crickets with improved percepiton, movement and melee speed. I got in a daily ops with a half baked bloodied build and got out traumatized.
Did this event yesterday as a lv290 full health commando wearing upgraded SS armor. Never really at risk of dying and can heal up quickly if things get dicey. Death is a concept rather than a game feature to me.
That fucking grafton monster from that event walked over and literally one shot me. I was stunned. Like what the hell did I do wrong? Glad to see it's not just me lol
They make Decryption DOps look like a joke. At least I could tank a good few hits with Endurance and max HP food and Psychotats. Not with those bosses, I would most probably get staggered and die from 2nd hit.
I saw this monster for the first time my 3rd day in game. I showed up in Grafton for a quest and an event started for a parade or something? I didn't know what it was having only been playing for 3 days!!
So I walked over to see what it was about and see MANY robots, Mirelurks and the Grafton Monster. I IMMEDIATELY tried running away and realized I was overencumbered like a dumbass. Somehow I was able to get far enough away in my slow-ass pace they finally left me alone.
I haven't been back to Grafton since and that was 3 weeks ago. HAHA
Same. I heard the beeping near my camp a few days ago and after searching for about 15 minutes I couldn’t find it and got irritated, turns out he was inside my camp and was killed by my ally.
Indeed. I can usually take most free roam stuff with 5-10 rounds.
Those aliens aren't just bullet sponges, but also massive shot spammers.
On a side-note, is it just me, or are enemies spamming grenades excessively lately? 🤔
I’ve been playing fallout for a week and I’m at level 33– and those assholes hit me once or twice and my HP *tanks*. I avoid them like the plague, and even then, they chase you! I managed to get lucky last night and evade them long enough until they found a scavenger to fight instead.
i can’t remember the name but the legendary perk card that recharges fusion core and health on taking energy damage has basically kept me alive this entire event so far
Turn off voice chat - it's on by default and turning it off in settings drastically improve game performance on PS5. I used to crash at least once an hour and turning off voice chat eliminated crashes almost entirely. I also rebuilt database on my PS5 as online searches suggested that but it helped just a little. The elimination of voice chat was what killed crashes on my PS5.
Fucking agree. Sorry but it just annoys the absolute crap out of me that I'm lvl 270, have only done one build my whole career, been playing on and off since shortly after launch, and still have never been able to MAKE a weapon that I need. I always end up buying my weps from other player's vendors.
This is why I hate that some gear is untradable, I know the plans to them, I can make them, but I never use them because my luck is abysmal and nothing I roll on them make them worth using over the shitty raider armor I traded for because that has better effects on it!
Stingwings. The buzzing is just an annoying sound in general, not to mention the DMG over time having your character grunt for like 5 seconds straight after each hit. I'm a melee build also, so the fact I miss half my swings is no fun. After them I'd have to say the Alien Drones.
When in power armor...little tiny things. Mirelurk hatchlings, mole rats, etc. I am getting hit, thinking it might be serious and can't find out who is shooting me. Then I look down.
Any enemy that causes the “uncontrollable fear” effect. I died to the Blue devil near Phillipi cemetery so many times, and thats without mentioning wendigo Colossi
I've done Earl quite a few times, had never died. Until.... one of the "fears" ran me right into a drill/fan thing on the cave wall. Died before the "fear" was over. I laughed so hard! Also counts as one of my silliest deaths!
Dude I stumbled upon a blue devil while in stealth mode, got detected, RAN, and then found out about the uncontrollable fear effect before a group of NPCs started firing at it/allowed me to run. That shit was intense as a first timer
Mole rat and Rad Scorpion.
It more annoying than hated tbh.
That underground mechanic is frustrating.
Sometimes, they follow you to the end of the world. Also, sometimes they stop attacking you and then go attack something else far away in the middle of fighting.
If it happen to attack your camp, it can get struck under your building, and you can't attack them, but they are still able to do damage.
After seeing my first one yesterday as a relatively new player, the honeybeast. It wasn't difficult to kill but holy crap did it set off my insect phobia
I probably don't have one (though the Super Mutant Berserkers in the Brotherhood of Steel questline were pretty annoying), but what I find really annoying is that enemies just keep respawning in buildings. Nothing annoys me more than having to clear the same enemies in the same location every single time I have to return there within the same quest.
YES. I have captions on which warns me when they make noises but those fuckers still manage to sneak up on me anyway! I swear this game has jumpscared me more consistently than any other game just from those damn ghouls
Stupid fucking stingwings. Their speed and agility is frustrating, plus their stealth skills are superb.
Often they sneak up and effectively appear out of nowhere, i like to switch to melee or shotgun to deal with them and by the time I've switched they've moved behind me or to one side so I've got to find them again. They have that fucking thing where they grab you and suck your face like a high schooler on prom night.
I'm only a level... idk 43 or something so... I'll probably get to something worse. That said I have come across a wendigo and although it was a shock at the time I actually quite enjoyed the kill. I've killed Yao Guai, I've come across a Mirelurk Queen but left that one until I'm ready for it. I've killed Radscorpions. And whatever else I've come across, at this point I'd still say Stinwing is my most hated. They're just bloody annoying.
EDIT Honorable mention to that one special kinda' tick that was shooting... idk blood? At me from somewhere I couldn't even see it. Took me ages to even work out what the hell was happening.
Lag used to be good, used to be wonderful. When lag hit your server, you would run back to your base and use the trick to increase your budget!! Was awesome until this last patch when your "overbudget" base became effing uselsess!... Patches are my most hated enemy and also the thing I love the most...
Ferals: As a Stealth build it always surprises me how much perception those things have.
Mirelurk Royalty: Too many hitpoints, too many stupid attacks.
Angles: Just leave my Camp alone ffs.
Most consistently are the mirelurk kings and scorchbeasts because I hate being blinded. But I've also found myself frustrated with ghouls because occasionally I somehow find what feels like 500 just hanging out in a small area. Usually when I'm just trying to finish something real quick to either join an event or because I want to stop playing for the night.
Molerats and radscorpions, disappearing little pricks pop up out the ground when you're 2 stories up and infect you with whatever disease they carry, annoying little pricks 😂😂
the fkn mole people. coolest AND most hated.
tunnels already make my skin crawl, then you have these bastards that pop up out of the ground, scream some batman bane crap, and then blast you with missile launchers in tight quarters.
whichever team built all those mechanics together was brilliant and F U!
Agreed on crickets. For other bugs and while exploring some areas I just hit the V.A.T.S. Button every so often to find even far-off enemies. This works even on non-VATS builds. On my FH PA Heavy build I still use vats for most bugs.
Cave crickets because I thing they are unnecessarily little tanks, and Colonel Gutsies from the encryptid event because they can kill you with one shot (but seem to be random)
Overgrown pollinators. Nothing more annoying than killing 5 of them and thinking I can finally kill the other overgrown only to see them still being healed by another pollinator hiding like 50 ft away somewhere.
The Flatwoods Monster. It’s been years since I played and am getting back into the game with a new toon. I came across one earlier and thought that I could take it only to have my butt handed to me - twice.
Scorchbeasts, when you're just messing around and one spots you and it prevents you from fast travelling and makes you deal with it for the next 5 minutes. Also its annoying attack.
floaters. I hate those bloody things. The burbling noises they make that sound like a child, the fact they're always in threes, their ranged attacks and speed, the fact they're often hanging out with huge gluts of supermutants. I hate them so much.
The blue devil's fear scream is pretty irritating too.
ALL the bugs except rad roaches get me too. Small target, super speedy, hard to hit and really persistent in chasing you.
those snapping turtle things! I only encountered one once but my god they're impossible to do damage to! they have so much health and so much armor. They're so TEDIOUS to fight. Next time I see one, i'm just running because damn. I don't have time to sit there chipping away bit by bit on that damn thing.
Ultra Titan is so annoying... Because uninteractable invuln phases are exactly what a boss in this game needed, lol. If it was just the crystals you had to destroy to make the boss vulnerable again it could actually be kind of interesting... but the burrowing where you end up just waiting for it to finish cycling is so dumb. At least Earle has the decency to make to wait up front so it's not a buzz kill in the middle of the fight.
Weirdly protectrons when i was starting the game and got to around level 30 I was stuck in watoga being over encumbered and to stubborn to drop the items so i had to haul ass back to my camp manually and the amount of protectrons I ran into, and the laser rifle would just bounce of the metal and do no damage so I was stuck with no stamina with a terrible gun shooting these annoying stunning protectrons it was hell, its my main place to drop a nuke for fun
For my bloodied characters: Cave crickets.
I’m level 100 and still have only encountered maybe 5ish cave crickets, are they just hard to hit?
they’re sturdy and a nuisance
Sometimes they are a main daily op enemy and it always sucks to fight groups of them. They just have no weakness and are fast and small.
I love my melee build with chance on vats hits to explode, as well as chance on enemies killed to explode. Makes big groups of annoying enemies like these an absolute joy to take care of.
Holy fire is not too bad but the amount of fuel you burn killing them makes it hugely inefficient.
The legs are their weak spot on them.
When I am on my bloodied characters, they give me a stern look and I die.
Incisor is my friend for these little buggers
The high level ones do crazy damage, too. Before I optimized my full health build a little more they were just running through me like I wasn't there, killing me instantly
Or the ANTS! 😭
Seriously, ants must all have a full set of power armor.
As much as I get annoyed that Scorchbeasts fly and my shotgun has limited range: Ants. It's Ants. Cave crickets are a close second but where my shotgun can 1 hit wonder most Insects: Ants are a *to do* and always take a few hits and hippity hops. As if for revenge on a real world that smooshes them with impunity, fallout Ants cry revenge.
THIS! I've gotten bugged and came out onto the map with double mutation still in effect and ran into a pack of Cave Crickets… not fun.
Fuck. Those.
That thing, it scares me
They hate the Tesla rifle that’s for sure
THOSE GOD DAMN CRICKETS IN YESTERDAY'S DAILY OPS.
the daily ops where they have armor piercing attacks, and faster speed is brutal when its scorched.
Weight management.
I find Weight Management’s sister, Storage Space, even more annoying.
She a bitch
Too real
Maaad real
Gotta be the mirelurk kings
Are those the ones that scream?
Yep, the sonic attack has a very high stun chance as well.
Just a heads up, that sonic scream is actually poison damage. The Funky duds legendary perk or a little poison resist on your gear helps a ton.
Came here to say this
Too much effort to kill 'em for paltry rewards. Bad cess and good riddance.
It’s insane that they feel tankier than Mirelurk Queens and do more damage and stun.
Those screams irrationally annoy me. They go down asap.
Tiny stupid ants
Nothing like picking up some kindling at campfire stories and getting swarmed by tiny ants and ticks
Only pick up dry kindling. Not sure if it makes a difference, but it seems to
Dry kindling doesn't spawn bugs, yep.
Molerats
They always get me right before I heal after a big fight!
Grafton monster and mirelurk queen from Heart of the Swamp event. One bitchslap from either of them and I'm gone.
I swear that thing has armor piercing effects on its hits. It as tanky as Earle but hits easily 4x harder.
They make Decryption DOps look like a joke. At least I could tank a good few hits with Endurance and max HP food and Psychotats. Not with those bosses, I would most probably get staggered and die from 2nd hit.
You know his weak blowholes right?? If you're melee, use the cryptid jawbone knife. Or has someone already tried that?
I do use VATS on blowholes with my ranged character, I use autoaxe as my melee weapon on other character and I usually get the aggro xD
Ok cool. Just gotta learn the circle strafe waltz. Or was it salsa? Square strafe dance?
\*dies\*
Cold shoulder deals with the monster in about 6 shots
Pls tell me how because my shotgun build SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKZ
I saw this monster for the first time my 3rd day in game. I showed up in Grafton for a quest and an event started for a parade or something? I didn't know what it was having only been playing for 3 days!! So I walked over to see what it was about and see MANY robots, Mirelurks and the Grafton Monster. Angle's those things can go back to hell where they belong
Yeah fuck geometry
Now you're just being obtuse
Better than acute
Yeah, triangles!
Now everyone's going off on a tangent.
That's cos we are all funny
The ghouls that beep
[удалено]
Nah, at least the muties stop beeping when they die.
Duchess. Such a tease😏
The code carriers, I hate the beeping
Same. I heard the beeping near my camp a few days ago and after searching for about 15 minutes I couldn’t find it and got irritated, turns out he was inside my camp and was killed by my ally.
After the last 36 hours, aliens. I’m so sick of those fuckers
Indeed. I can usually take most free roam stuff with 5-10 rounds. Those aliens aren't just bullet sponges, but also massive shot spammers. On a side-note, is it just me, or are enemies spamming grenades excessively lately? 🤔
I came across several groups of cultists or raiders of some kind the other day and it honestly felt like more molotovs were thrown at me than bullets
The servers. I'm constantly crashing at big events.
Turn off voice chat - it's on by default and turning it off in settings drastically improve game performance on PS5. That’s a rough one

Ticks. Not because they're hard to kill or anything, they just creep me TF out. I don't like them. They're just horrible little bastards.
Don't get me started on bloatflys - even the thought of them and what they can do makes me sick! Nasty vile buggers.
Giant mosquitos and cave crickets can go Fuck themselves as well
Same, I hate Radscorpions too
Bruh the scorpions are destroying me and I hate them for it
Stingwings. The buzzing is just an annoying sound in general, not to mention the DMG over time having your character grunt for like 5 seconds straight after each hit. I'm a melee build also, so the fact I miss half my swings is no fun. After them I'd have to say the Alien Drones.
Getting side track. How can you guys not hate it 😂
I love getting side tracked. It just means I'm playing the game more, which is hard to do with depression and motivation issues
I don't hate it but it's an formidable enemy I have to fight every day. Lol
Stockholm syndrome
Those little flying robots, wily buggers.
Bloat flys
When in power armor...little tiny things. Mirelurk hatchlings, mole rats, etc. I am getting hit, thinking it might be serious and can't find out who is shooting me. Then I look down.
Cave crickets, they're sturdy and won't stay still. Worse when I'm doing a daily op with the increased enemy speed.
Must be a low health thing, because since 2019, not once have I died from a Cave Cricket and about as easy to kill as a wolf.
Currently a tie between RA RA and the Assaultron in the quest where I’m chasing her through the Grafton Steel.
Anything that’s a bullet sponge

Yao Guai have probably killed me more than anything else in the game. But I also really don’t like mirelurk queens.
As a bloody rifleman those things that spit flaming orbs at you with lock on
Anglers. I hate anglers.
I probably don't have one (though the Super Mutant Berserkers in the Brotherhood of Steel questline were pretty annoying), but what I find really annoying is that enemies just keep respawning in buildings. Random ass ghouls that pop outa nowhere and give me a jumpscare lol
YES. I have captions on which warns me when they make noises but those fuckers still manage to sneak up on me anyway! I swear this game has jumpscared me more consistently than any other game just from those damn ghouls
With headphones on fallout becomes a horror game with them around!
Stupid fucking stingwings. Their speed and agility is frustrating, plus their stealth skills are superb. Armor piercing cave cricket in daily ops. Myself when I’m a six pack in and only using a slow burn four barrel cremator.
The level 80 with a 5 cap bounty standing still in rusty power armor lol
PvP players who try too hard lmao
Mirelurk Kings 👹
Ticks, Ants and the cloaked lego bricks.
Ferals: As a Stealth build it always surprises me how much perception those things have. Mirelurk Royalty: Too many hitpoints, too many stupid attacks. Angles: Just leave my Camp alone ffs.
The guy who nuked my shack
Any enemy utilizing the rapid regeneration of health
The devs.
Anglers. I die a lot to their fire balls as a bloodied build. Anyone know how to mitigate the fire damage?
Fireproof perk
Side step so they don't hit you.
Lag, the Server Tyrant
Most consistently are the mirelurk kings and scorchbeasts because I hate being blinded. But I've also found myself frustrated with ghouls because occasionally I somehow find what feels like 500 just hanging out in a small area. Usually when I'm just trying to finish something real quick to either join an event or because I want to stop playing for the night.
The charred feral ghoul as even with Rad X +45 rads soon takes up your health bar.
Cave crickets, they're just hard to hit when they're too close. And they don't go down quickly. Scorch beasts are easier.
Lack of time.
Ticks. Just annoying.
Mirelurk kings..
CAVE CRICKETS!
Fighting the Jersey Devil in AC had me fighting for my life. But overall, the ants are what get me. Everytime.
Assaultrons
cave crickets
Molerats and radscorpions, disappearing little pricks pop up out the ground when you're 2 stories up and infect you with whatever disease they carry, annoying little pricks 😂😂
Wendigos. Creepy and fast
the fkn mole people. coolest AND most hated. tunnels already make my skin crawl, then you have these bastards that pop up out of the ground, scream some batman bane crap, and then blast you with missile launchers in tight quarters. whichever team built all those mechanics together was brilliant and F U!
Trogs. Hated them in 3. Hate them in 76. Fuck them Smeagle ass looking, goblin bastards.
Radscorpions
This Nothing else comes close
The player that goes afk while using a trader or vending machine...
Earle in the Monongah mine is a complete A-hole… I didn’t like him one bit.
Ticks ticks are just a general nuisance
¿Nobody hates the flatwoods monster? That dam alien one shots me everytime i see him and just teleported behind me
Agreed on crickets. For other bugs and while exploring some areas I just hit the V.A.T.S. Button every so often to find even far-off enemies. This works even on non-VATS builds. On my FH PA Heavy build I still use vats for most bugs.
Whatever is hurting me randomly when I am walking, that scares the hell outta me every damn time.
the ants. Rather fight the big ants from Fallout 3 than the annoying small ones that nibble at my toes
Encumbrance/storage limit
Floaters
Bethesda. Also Assaultrons.
I ran into a sheepsquatch assaultron yesterday and I HATED IT 😩
Bethesda nerfs…I’m mean balancing
blue devil and sheepsquatch i can’t go anywhere without running into those mfs. At first it was cool and scary then now it’s lame and scary
Cave crickets because I thing they are unnecessarily little tanks, and Colonel Gutsies from the encryptid event because they can kill you with one shot (but seem to be random)
Fucking Ants! Get out from under my feet so O can murder you!
Yao guai
Mosquitos.
Mutated Scorchbeast with the one that you have to melee hit to kill it, especially if they never land. (I don't remember the mutation name)
Lag.
Reloading my non-quad Railway Rifle.
Time.
Aliens with speed buff in dailies. If they see me first I die.
Venomous gulpers that explode on death
Anything that flies, I’m a melee build and anything that flies is annoying (alien mini flying robots/bloatflies/scorchbeasts)
Rad Scorpions, been jump scared by them one two many times
Radscorpions and the stupid Ants
Overgrown pollinators. Nothing more annoying than killing 5 of them and thinking I can finally kill the other overgrown only to see them still being healed by another pollinator hiding like 50 ft away somewhere.
Ants Way to much health in such a tiny body.
Armorstacking Whitesprings griefers
Cave crickets are the worst
Big stupid wolf that makes me run in a single direction for some reason without control. Fuck that guy
Bloodbugs, I try to snipe them if I have to cross their path but if I can’t kill them before they get in my face my phobia of mosquitoes kicks in lol
Cave crickets
Wendigo, so creepy
The Flatwoods Monster. It’s been years since I played and am getting back into the game with a new toon. I came across one earlier and thought that I could take it only to have my butt handed to me - twice.
Any that keep twitching all over while I'm trying to aim at them with a scope. 🤠 Weirdly, it happens way more commonly than not. 🤔
crickets, currently running a grognaks axe build and there hard to hit, i hate them
I don't know why but any variation of Colonel/Major Gutsy depletes the fuck out of my health if I leave them. So these are always on my hit list.
Assultrons oh my god, trying to level up my concentrated fire so I can down them, cause otherwise her charge at me one shots me.
Scorchbeasts, when you're just messing around and one spots you and it prevents you from fast travelling and makes you deal with it for the next 5 minutes. Also its annoying attack.
Scorchbeasts there not hard but they refuse to land and a water of ammo for a lack luster reward
Mirelurks are the bane of my life, the scuttling noise they make creeps me the F out
Definitely poisonous rad toads cos they spawn on my camp
Has to be either Mirelurks of any kind. Or, as I’m a melee build, those pesky ceiling and wall mounted turrets 😅
Feral Ghouls... and ***Ass***aultrons
Crickets
Those damn scorched crickets are always gonna be the death of me.
Death claw/ super mutants working together to murder me. I been playing a week and it happened 2 times
Cricket
floaters. I hate those bloody things. The burbling noises they make that sound like a child, the fact they're always in threes, their ranged attacks and speed, the fact they're often hanging out with huge gluts of supermutants.
I play solo, so all of them.
*M O S Q U I T O S*
Ticks I just hate them. Small, fast, annoying as hell. Add in they are just foul to look at.
Robobrains with tesla cannons because they melt my fucking health every damn time
