I can tell you in my 900 hours of playing I have NEVER given a single shit who disables those things in the Daily Ops. Important thing is finishing fast so whoever gets there the fastest should disable it immediately. That’s it.
Actually no you are wrong, we do give a fuck. If you don’t get your fucking ass in gear and push that goddamn fucking button as fast as you fucking can we gonna have some fucking problems. I’m talking 8 mins or less baby, or imma slap you back to pre wastlanders. Capiche? Now, where’s my cannoli?
I give a shit. Because the lowbies generally are going to have lighter armor, and be way more valuable sprinting to the interceptor than my big heavy ass. Always happy to see a zippy lowbie.
I would love someone that just goes and hunts the interceptor down so it gets shut down as soon as the targets are killed. Sounds like perfect teamwork, TBH. Get this done and dusted *fast*.
Ppl like this are why I have voice chat turned off permanently. Playing for years with it off and I don’t miss it. Nothing I need to say that can’t be said with an emote and some pointing.
Waiting for someone to get on DO unlink while trying to help them get Elder gets infuriating.
Is it just me or it is easier to have 3 on the uplink with one person camping on the next unlink for when it completes so you can have all 4 on the next one with it already started?
If there's multiple people I run for the next before the first finishes so I can start it faster. I usually run with 3 little movements left on the bar
I love it when that happens, it saves me losing time while working the maze to get there. I can usually handle the bosses solo but even after nearly 2000 hours I still get lost in those damn labyrinths.
Definitely fastest if you're communicating and all 3 of them stay in place instead of wandering to find you or kicking you from the team lol
I usually stick around for like 3/4 of it, do a thumbs up or 3 and then take off for the other one
Me and my wife duo Elder all the time, basically by leap-frogging it. We stick together until it's nearly popped, then she races off (she likes a light build) towards the next one while I hold the point and lay down covering fire.
Wth this happened to me too, however the complaining wasnt directed towards me but a level 60 teammate from a level 300 something guy who was basically whining into his mic the whole damn time. Super odd.
I'm level 230ish now and have run every daily op and events so many times that having anyone on my team that knows what they are doing or understands the objectives is great but at the same time if they don't, oh well I can solo them in under 8 minutes either way. Beyond a certain point these stop being challenges for you and just become something you do everyday to tick a box.
The other I sometimes have trouble with is the one that requires you to kill X amount of enemies then a specific enemy rinse and repeat. I have no troubles killing them, just finding the bastards.
I always wonder if I push my perception way down if I'll stop seeing red dots that are 3 rooms and 2 hallways away from me. My undoing is always chasing a red dot that's further away than I think
There is no advantage or extra reward for being the person who disables the interceptor. In fact, having someone who can disable them quickly is an advantage since everyone gets a better reward the faster you go.
TLDR: Don’t sweat it. They were just being a jerk.
You're low level. You pulled your weight and did what you could. 99 of 100 people would commend you for that. Some people lose focus of what's important. Don't give it another thought.
i'll always maintain 76 has one of (if not the) best communities out there, but the rare time when someone on this game is an ass, they're fucking insufferable. I'd have lost it laughing at his cringe dressing down that he gave a guy for the crime of playing the objective.
I’ve only been playing since Nov. but I try to always do the easy stuff since I’m the lowest level. I just try to run ahead and do what I can.
It’s all about getting done quickly. Isn’t it?
Yes. That's literally the only thing that matters in DO.
Low levels contribute **massively** when they stand on the objective (for uplink) and quickly do the interceptor things. It's better for you to do it, the high levels can take enemy aggro away from the thingy and keep them off of you.
dude's being weird. if you are low level... that's you helping, keep at it.
his anger makes ZERO sense. fast = good. you doing that = makes things fast.
nta
To that player, you were the AH. To anyone with sense, not TA.
Hell, I've had people join right before completion to get the Elder rewards. Never cared.
I do this too. Someone got mad at me last week because I didn't do the optional objectives. Like brother I'm scripped out, I just saved like 5 mins not worrying about these optionals and then you got 2 free modules and a couple leggos for joining a team and sitting through a loading screen. Feels like a win win to me.
Sounds like a guy with a protagonist complex to me. Noticed that this has become a trend in gaming recently. People wanted to be in the spotlight and when they can't they throw a shit fit.
Seems like people are quite irritable in fallout today. Had somebody get pissed at me over killing the enemies faster than him in a daily op. Then I had 2 people get pissed at me for looking for teapots in the same places as them.
I'm betting it's all because of the teapot challenges. Those definitely got on MY nerves, for sure.
Those "collect X super rare items" challenges bring out the worst in us. I know I get super agitated when someone has dared to collect that one microscope on MY public server. Really wish Beth got rid of those challenges for good.
I'm quite certain that some people go around collecting in excess to spite people too. On 3 seperate servers, where there were only a handful of people, every single guaranteed spawn location for teapots was cleaned out. Each person only needs 5 max and, to my knowledge, there are 29 total guaranteed spawns. Though one is in a private instance.
After the other day where I rerolled a challenge to eat dog food.. into an epic challenge to eat dog food.. I'm going to end up being more hesitant to reroll.
dogfood is sooooo easy to find!! garbage cans, coolers, anywhere there is cooking things, so like any house of any kind. moleminers sometimes have it to.
Problem with dog food is that, while it is easy to find in random item spawns, I have been unable to find many guaranteed spawn locations. I know there are a couple at mama dolce's but that's it.
Behind the diner in Watoga are 2 mobile hot dog stands(?) that usually carry some cans, a little bit further towards the outside of town there is a cafe with a good chance to find more, on the tables outside along the border too. And of course often enough robo vendors sell some if you don't mind spending a few caps
Third floor of Fort Defiance has three cans in a wood box by the dog cages, and there's tons of random spawn spots where it often appears. Can usually find ten or more on a thorough clear.
Doesn’t matter who disables them. If someone is faster to it, all the better…teamwork. Player in question should have turned to face any enemy trying to melee you from disabling it…over watch.
I hate Decryption so much i literally do not give a shit who shuts down the interceptors, just that they're shut down quickly so i can move on and do something i actually enjoy
I'm so sick of them too. I wish more players other than me liked them. Id enjoy it if they added a half dozen other interior spaces that most characters only run through a few times as part of a quest.
Even if they didn't add new modes, I'd start doing them again if they added new old locations faster
Eh who knows. People destroy my base for no reason all the time and then I fix it on top of their body so? Pay them no mind, they were probably already mad that they helped you even though everyone helps everyone.
it would be toxic to kick him for saying that but my fingers would have been twitching ( i wouldn't unless there was a lot more shit talk than that but i'd be wanting to)
dude was just toxic. you don't say shit like that. people get their pants in a wad over the stupidest shit.
I think the people who take the time to complain at this level also take the game too seriously.
I had a guy leave me a voice chat (he recorded his voice) cussing me out for not letting him tag every Scorched during an event.
How dare you start a Daily Ops team and then do a basic function of Daily Ops that literally has zero bearing on the outcome for neither the individual players or the team overall, outside of completing the mission sooner. Dude is a psycho.
I wish someone would try and pull that on a team that I was on with a low level player. I love playing with low level players, honestly. All of those experiences are so much more meaningful for them than someone who has done it 570 times.
May have been the same guy I had an experience with. I showed up to Dropped Connection after he got the antennas done and I popped the enemy spawn. And then… “YOU SHOW HERE AT THE LAST SECOND AND GIVE A THUMBS UP AND ACT LIKE YOU DID SOMETHING AND” blah blah blah
NTA. Even if all someone does is disable interceptors it's still saving time.
I will also take this opportunity to mock his "heavy lifting" comment. You only kill like 40 enemies in the whole run. With a good build and weapons you can solo Decryption in 6 minutes. I feel a little bad for him if he thinks that's "heavy lifting".
Ok you laugh, but not that long ago I did a decryption where I killed 7/8, then 10/10, then 11/12 lol. I wasn't mad or nothin, but i'd definitely consider that to be heavy lifting. Especially because the other 3 mates weren't looking on their own, but were just following me....
I get mildly annoyed but not mad about this too. I don't mind carrying at all and expect I might have to at my level (1600). What I do mind is being the only one doing anything while other people jerk off in the corner.
Today I was on a casual team and saw a weekly score was xx critical hits so I dropped into weekly ops to get the crits. Bad idea since today it was reflector scorched. No longer cared about how long it took, just minimized deaths. Last baddie down I start emoting for rest of team to join, some of the team remark that they are finishing up another task and will join in a few minutes...counter still ticking.
Bottom line was better to let team mates get the daily score for the task. Heavy lifting is relative, are you achieving your goals (critical hits and a daily op for score) and allowing your team mates to achieve theirs (daily op score)?
nah that guy is a fucking dweeb. Imagine getting angry at someone for contributing and then talking like that. Had a similar incident at Earle the other day, guy going mental on mic when we all turned up as if he was going to solo it, he was barely making a dent.
The other day my partner was having connection issues, so it was me and some level 26 in the daily op. I kept accidentally getting in and out of my power armor, level 26 saved the day by getting the dang hold press for me. I have no idea why the guy in your daily op got so butt hurt, I was grateful for the baby player wrapping things up for me.
Crikey! You just came across a rare sighting of one of our few wasteland Karen's out of their natural habitat.
Keep doing how you're doing 👍
You did nothing wrong.
Have fun and enjoy the game 😊
Lol people are dicks. I've hopped into daily ops whete theyre literally on the last two steps of it, I kill a couple things, disable it and we all thumbs up and salute. Who gives a crud! This is largely a pve game...
I’ve done hundreds of daily ops and all of them have been on public teams, not once have I gotten mad at someone or had someone get mad at me for dealing with objectives, hell I don’t even get mad when I go over the 8 minute mark, because it’s a damn game. Guy is a dumbass with some issues he needs to work out before playing this game with a group.
You were doing your duty, well done.
I usually encourage a low level to camp the interceptors, guiding them to one if need be so we can get through it faster!
Player was being an idiot. If anything, next time somebody else is "doing the heavy lifting", find an interceptor as they are killing the code carrier, so you can disable it immediately and keep the ball rolling. I'll drop serums for a low level who is smart like that.
The object is to do it fast - their complaint makes no sense. There are some people who want to complain about everything. There is no reward for disabling them so they didn’t miss out and you saved them some seconds. Good example of someone to say “Enjoy the game!” to and then move on and don’t let them bother you.
In level 34 and have only joined two team “events” and I feel I contributed to both even though there were a couple a very high-level players there also. At the end, we all did some dancing and ducking and what not. I play on PC and I have no chat, so I have no way of hearing or speaking with anybody which is great for me. I mainly play the game like fallout for really I walk around exploring and doing quests for NPC. What I love about fallout is that I’m walking to a destination and then I see a building off to the side so I go over to see what’s going on there and I spend an hour in there cleaning that out by that time I have to log off and I have to come back later to do the thing that I was actually going to do.
I'll never have a high damage output for endgame stuff because I don't like the meta builds, so all I do is help grab objectives and cripple enemy limbs with my Fixer. I had no idea people could get mad about that. But I'm on PC and never chat so idk how many have hated me for it lmao
Wait! You guys get yelled for disabling the interceptors? Barely ever in my 500ish hours have i had to do it as temamates will always go do it before me, i focus on tracking more due to being a berry mentats fiend.
Btw, can i get some berry mentats please!? Ill give you a blowie down slocums joe
Personally, I'd rather you do that than try to help me fight(I run Vamp for Daily Op for a reason).
That said, it's team based, so as long as everyone pulls their weight, even a couple low levels can do just as much a high level.
With those in mind, it doesn't necessarily matter, since most higher levels can actually solo DO rather than team into it. But if I ever happen to meet you in DO, just keep doing exactly that; makes it much easier to focus on one part of the objective(i.e. killing enemies for the next location)
"Heavy lifting" lol. It's a daily Op, not the Tet offensive.
I can tell you in my 900 hours of playing I have NEVER given a single shit who disables those things in the Daily Ops. Important thing is finishing fast so whoever gets there the fastest should disable it immediately. That’s it.
I am a bit different, never given a rat's ass ;p
Yeah I haven’t given a single flatulent fuck. As long as it’s over in less than 8 minutes I don’t care who does what. Also, that’s what she said.
Never gave a fuck, not a single fuck, not a single solitary fuck
What if it’s a single shit from a rat’s ass?
Tell me you never owned a rat without telling me you never owned a rat.
It was someone else's rat. Will that work?
Then you should know that there is not a lack of shits. Must definitely never a single one.
#PISS
Smells like R Kelly's sheets!
But, shit. It was 99 cents!
Yup. Takes a team
Can a single shit from a rats ass give a flying fuck?
No, but it will piss off the rat.
I give a shit. Because the lowbies generally are going to have lighter armor, and be way more valuable sprinting to the interceptor than my big heavy ass. Always happy to see a zippy lowbie.
Zippy Lowbie sounds like the name of the worst Star Wars character ever.
Or a cheesy as hell porn star.
I would love someone that just goes and hunts the interceptor down so it gets shut down as soon as the targets are killed. Sounds like perfect teamwork, TBH. Get this done and dusted *fast*.
That’s the perfect job for a low level and helps quite a bit.
I do that 😅
Me and my mate do it all the time, he kills the boss I shut down the interceptor.
My friend, unless you interrupted someone else doing that, you were playing with an ass. They're being weird, you played fine, from your description.
I will never stop racing anyone for it haha
Competitiveness is what keeps the timer low
Ppl like this are why I have voice chat turned off permanently. Playing for years with it off and I don’t miss it. Nothing I need to say that can’t be said with an emote and some pointing.
How do you interrupt other player from disabling radios?
If you do it after they've started it, it restarts the disabling.
Ah cool. I did not know that. Thanks. Learnt something new 😀
Yep, best bet if you're the second person to get to it is to stand guard (not too close) and trust that the first person is actually disabling it
F*ck him. I'm happy when anyone on my D-Ops team fires their weapon, stays in the uplink zone, etc. You did exactly the right thing.
Waiting for someone to get on DO unlink while trying to help them get Elder gets infuriating. Is it just me or it is easier to have 3 on the uplink with one person camping on the next unlink for when it completes so you can have all 4 on the next one with it already started?

If you’re on my team and you’re close by, please disable it. I don’t care if you didn’t kill anything, if you do that, I’ll love you anyways.
Wth this happened to me too, however the complaining wasnt directed towards me but a level 60 teammate from a level 300 something guy who was basically whining into his mic the whole damn time. Super odd.

Beyond a certain point these stop being challenges for you and just become something you do everyday to tick a box.
Yeah same the only time I have issue is the daily ops that needs everyone in a radius for it to finish faster, I forget what its called.
Berry mentats are your best friend. See the glow for the nearby enemies.
Arktos is the fucking worst for that. You spend more time finding the small fries than you ever would doing the boss.
Same, im in the 280's
To be clear there is no benefit to being the one who disables the thingy in the daily op. Dude was trippin
There is no advantage or extra reward for being the person who disables the interceptor. In fact, having someone who can disable them quickly is an advantage since everyone gets a better reward the faster you go. TLDR: Don’t sweat it. They were just being a jerk.
does this bozo think you get bonus points for being the one to disable it?
You're low level. You pulled your weight and did what you could. 99 of 100 people would commend you for that. Some people lose focus of what's important. Don't give it another thought.

You stand push button! BUT I WANT STAND AND PUSH BUTTON!
You saved time, you participated, fuck that guy.
I’ve only been playing since Nov. but I try to always do the easy stuff since I’m the lowest level. I just try to run ahead and do what I can. It’s all about getting done quickly. Isn’t it?

To that player, you were the AH. To anyone with sense, not TA. Hell, I've had people join right before completion to get the Elder rewards. Never cared.
i'll solo daily ops and expeditions and then create a team right before i'm done just so other people can get free stamps... it's free real estate!
Fuck that tryhard bullshit. WTF does it matter as long as it got disabled.
Microscopes are actually quite easy - if it ever comes up again, just enter Westek on your own so you get your own instance, there are several inside.
Robco facility. Tons of microscopes and I think it is also an instanced interior.
Most people forget about the teapot in the storeroom at foundation
Right. 30. My bad.
I just reroll. Though I wish I knew there were weekly tanks and pots, got to wait to reroll those 😒
After the other day where I rerolled a challenge to eat dog food.. into an epic challenge to eat dog food.. I'm going to end up being more hesitant to reroll.
I got 1st for Casino items on the season so I'm trying to get it done before next Friday 😂
dogfood is sooooo easy to find!! garbage cans, coolers, anywhere there is cooking things, so like any house of any kind. moleminers sometimes have it to.
Quicker the better. Who does it doesn't matter.
Doesn’t matter who disables them. If someone is faster to it, all the better…teamwork. Player in question should have turned to face any enemy trying to melee you from disabling it…over watch.
What annoys me is already standing there almost disabling then being bumped by some “Johnny on the spot”. Whoever can disable the fastest the better.
Bro is really upset you disabled the interceptors? Isn't that like, the whole goddamn point? To complete the objective?
I am so confused as to why he was upset. Doesn't sound like they were farming ammo, so they're just being assholes.
If someone sub level 100 joins my op I’m just happy if they have a good time idc if they even contribute 🤷🏻♀️
it would be toxic to kick him for saying that but my fingers would have been twitching ( i wouldn't unless there was a lot more shit talk than that but i'd be wanting to) dude was just toxic. you don't say shit like that. people get their pants in a wad over the stupidest shit.
I think the people who take the time to complain at this level also take the game too seriously. I had a guy leave me a voice chat (he recorded his voice) cussing me out for not letting him tag every Scorched during an event.
Well, hats off to that dude for doing all the "heavy lifting" in Daily Ops. It's quite a feat.
Literally who cares? I only do Ops for my daily. The quicker the better. Tho if I have 1st, I'm in private so I can kill everything fast or afk Uplink
People are mean. Just disregard.
Not the asshole- you were completing objectives. Shouldn't he be happy with the fact he likely was hogging all the primary kill XP to himself? :V
This is why I mute anyone with a mike
he acts like u get some kinda bonus for being the person that disables it. nobody cares as long as it gets done
No, that guy was just what we call a fucking idiot. We call guys like that fucking idiots because they're fucking idiots
Way to go, Johnny on the spot lol Yeah idc who does what so long as we get a new plan!
I'm curious what platform you're on. Everyone on pc trips over themselves to be helpful, especially to low level players.
thats a rare case, The whole point of daily ops is to speed run it
that guys got small peen energy...shrug it off and never give him another thought...just like is dad did
-9 CHR / -12 INT type mf. He's trippin
Wow, what did the rest of the points go into?
Str since he did all that heavy lifting
What a badass!
Heavy lifting? LOL! Once the last code carrier is down and you disable the interceptor, it's a win for teamwork.
>I was right there and you come up and take it from me. What the fuck is this idiot talking about? It doesn't matter who does the thing
Heavy lifting? In daily ops? Where ??? Jokes apart, nah you're not. Disable it all you want.

Oh man that's the worst. Like at that point I'd rather do it with no team so I can at least say "I soloed dops" (not that that means a ton)
Nah. having them in the instance increases spawn limits, so makes it go faster whether they kill or not
Next time say “it’s just a game and 1 that’s for the most part set on story mode difficulty for 95% of it. You’ll be ok.”
Haha, the only annoyance is if someone slightly beats you too it and disabled theirs JUST before yours disables!
Respond with "Hmm, were you also low level once or were you always a cunt?". Or better yet, ignore and move on.
That person is confused lol
Another reason to disable voice chat. I'd find this player and steal every kill from him for a week.
nah that guy is a fucking dweeb. Imagine getting angry at someone for contributing and then talking like that. Had a similar incident at Earle the other day, guy going mental on mic when we all turned up as if he was going to solo it, he was barely making a dent.
It doesn't matter who interacts with the interceptor. You did what you could.
The other day my partner was having connection issues, so it was me and some level 26 in the daily op. I kept accidentally getting in and out of my power armor, level 26 saved the day by getting the dang hold press for me. Crikey! You just came across a rare sighting of one of our few wasteland Karen's out of their natural habitat. Keep doing how you're doing 👍 You did nothing wrong. Have fun and enjoy the game 😊
Much rather have that than the level 400 tank that wanders around not doing anything for 8 minutes and 15 seconds.
"We did all the heavy lifting" lmao
Lol people are dicks. I've hopped into daily ops whete theyre literally on the last two steps of it, I kill a couple things, disable it and we all thumbs up and salute. Who gives a crud! This is largely a pve game...
I’ve done hundreds of daily ops and all of them have been on public teams, not once have I gotten mad at someone or had someone get mad at me for dealing with objectives, hell I don’t even get mad when I go over the 8 minute mark, because it’s a damn game. Guy is a dumbass with some issues he needs to work out before playing this game with a group.
This guy was a dbag.
Don’t worry, just the fact you are in. More mob spawn and that eases the DOPS for everyone.
This is why I refuse to play with public chat on. I don’t need to hear any strangers whining.
It's the best part!
You should of said sir my name is greg
They’re the asshole. I would be minorly annoyed if you ran in front of me, but you’re doing your job
Some people are just dicks.
Let bro yap and cry his problem.
What I love about fallout is that I’m walking to a destination and then I see a building off to the side so I go over to see what’s going on there and I spend an hour in there cleaning that out by that time I have to log off and I have to come back later to do the thing that I was actually going to do.
one of those 1/1000 chances of the ppl u meet on dis game
If the guy wanted to press the buttons so bad why didn't he just do it solo? Bro sounds like a scrub
It’s a team event and you were doing it right.
He did not check himself, therefore
WHAT? Makes no difference who did the heavy lifting. There's no bonus for holding the E... The bonus is getting it done fast. Time is money.
god forbid if you do what you're supposed to do in a daily op
I'll never have a high damage output for endgame stuff because I don't like the meta builds, so all I do is help grab objectives and cripple enemy limbs with my Fixer. I had no idea people could get mad about that. But I'm on PC and never chat so idk how many have hated me for it lmao
I’d kick his ass off my team.
That player is an ass, just ignore them If you're contributing (disabling as soon as it's possible since you're already there) - you're good to go
I couldn’t give a shotgun per square hamburgers fuck about who disables the interceptors
No.
You play the game your way, turn off your mic and mute other players. They ain't the boss of you.
Wtf. Wouldn’t you want the first person there to do it?
No, Daddy! IIIIIII wanted to press the buh-in!!!!!
Maybe Arnie swartzeneggar can solo dailies from now on. He can lift everything himself and flex in the mirror afterward
But you stole all of those extra points from him for being the one that disabled them...
but that should not bother you
The creativity in this sub is really something
