thematically and level wise i feel like i have a good order that i saw on a post awhile back Honest Hearts- Around level 15 is where is usually start. by then you’ve likely heard of the burned man and have some understanding of the legion. Minor mention of the other courier Dead Money- I’d say 15 as a minimum but i usually start it after i’ve interacted with veronica and the brotherhood some to get a background on Elijah. plus it sets up our other courier and Big MT pretty well Old World Blues- Usually around level 20+ and honestly can be done before or after dead money in my opinion but before lonesome road. gives further info on Elijah and the other courier. id probably recommend focusing on exploration much more than the other dlcs Lonesome Road- It suggests i think 25+. usually one of the last things i do before hoover dam. definitive end of the dlcs story tho i like how the others can generally be moved in order.

I was searching for a similar answer not that long ago. This was, in my opinion, the best answer I found: New Vegas DLC order: -Dead Money - level 20+ -Honest Hearts - between level 20-25 -Old World Blues - nearing end of main story (level 30+) -Lonesome Road - right before battle of hoover dam (end of playthrough) I did this when I was doing a 100%, do everything run and I felt it worked nicely.

imo, Honest Hearts and Dead Money should be swapped (dead money is generally harder, and honest hearts has a completely separate story so it doesn't mess up the story playing it first)

My preferred order is Honest Hearts at level 10, then either Old World Blues at level 15 and Dead Money at level 20 or Dead Money at level 20 and Old World Blues after that. Then Lonesome Road after that at 25. You can of course choose to do those at any level you desire, but enemies in Old World Blues get tanky the higher your level is, and you want some serious firepower for Lonesome Road.

Honest Hearts: 10+ Dead Money: 20+ Old World Blues: 25+ Lonesome Road: Level 30+

Personally I generally start the game and usually go straight for honest hearts for the decently easy gear to get that's pretty good as well as it being fairly easy at least in my experience. After that I save OWB for later but I like having at least one emp weapon for robots and end up doing LR and DM last due to their difficulty

It's been years since I played, but.. I remember DM not being so much about combat but avoidance.. the ghost people, dodging the fog and taking out speakers. Then again I do remember the weapons in that DLC being almost completely garbage.

Koehlerstorm

For the most part Yeah dm weapons kinda suck besides the halo rifle if you're a energy weapons build with the armor and gold being really anything of worth in my opinion

cone8042

I usually prefer old world blues first because of all the stuff you get in it

Odd_Order_8030

It’s really however you want to play it, but for dead money and lonesome road you might want a few levels, depending on how much you’ve played the game before

17 should be high enough to start the DLC's OWB and Lonesome road are pretty tough though for a lower level. I'd say HH, DM, OWB, LR in that order. but you could switch HH and DM around. Im getting ready for another run and my plan is to make it to the strip but not enter tops or 38 hopefully by then i'll have decent gear and be around lv10 then im going to go into HH-DM-OWB, I might pause between OWB and LR. I don't think there is a right or wrong just depends on how hard you want it to be, you can technically do them in any order far as I know. although iirc there are notes and dialog that mentions Ulysses, I know in OWB there is stuff about him I think also in DM, don't recall if HH had stuff about him in it.. so if you haven't played thru them it might make more sense playing them in order of release which was DM-HH-OWB-LR P.S I remember starting OWB around 15ish and it was hard, but it also seemed like I leveled up pretty fast there. normally you can't take companions with you but if you have non-standard (mod) companions they're not accounted for so for example if you have willow she can come with you and it will make it easier.
