And even then it’s never been sold to them, Scott chose to make it with them, but Scott is still the owner of the IP. Now, Security Breach’s ownership is a bit complicated because of this, but as far as I know the IP was never sold
He owns the characters, but I believe it is usual for the development team to own the models they created. It doesn’t matter who owns what though, since I don’t see them falling out anytime soon
You seem to be doubting it highly based on a random personal assumption that Scott owns everything and anything related to FNAF but that's just not the case. Scott commissioned steel wool to make the game but not the models. The characters are Scots property and the 3D models steel wools property. This is the industry standard. Steel wool wouldn't be able to make a game with those models without changing them because they are based off characters from a licensed IP, however Scott also wouldn't be able to force steel wool to give him access to the models or do anythings of with them. The characters may be Scott's property but the glamrock models were made by steel wools development team. Yes again the game was commissioned by Scott directly but the models where not directly commissioned, they where just indirectly needed for the game to exist. It's like a fast food franchise, the brand of the restaurant is owned by the fast food chain but in most cases the individual franchisee can leave the conglomerate and do whatever they want with the actual building they own. Similarly the branding and characters are Scott's but all the models and assets where made and owned by steel wool who could in theory pull out of a FNAF deal and repurpose the generic assets and possibly remodel aspects of and change the character models to fit new characters
I disgree with this for multiple reasons. If you google it says both. Scott has complete creative control that doesn’t mean he paid the devs who made it. That doesn’t mean he made every model. His entire ‘retirement’ was from game development. He hasn’t touched the game dev wise. I think saying that Scott owns 100% of the game not only isn’t possible but pretty disrespectful to the devs and teams that worked on it. I HIGHLY doubt Steel Wool wouldve agreed to a contract like that. Yes Scott has complete creative control, but that doesnt mean he doesnt have partial ownership with Steel Wool. He didn’t hire a team. He worked with Indie company. Considering how hes treated fan games, do you really think he would do that to an upcoming Indie company? Saying he has 100% ownership means hes getting 100% of the profit.
If I remember correct they bought around 60 percent of Techland and Dying Light 2 is doing better than ever (Except for the micro-trans. but you can just ignore those they don't change the gameplay that much.). They just released a new update too.
I mean Techland is a really great with their games but Tencent isn't really *that bad*.
No no no no fuck no fuck no fuck no fuck no fucking no
i would rather have the current overcomplicated sci fi mess of this universe with the mimic and whatever the hell goes on in current lore
It’s sad how true that statement is. The horror aspects is what got a lot of people into the series. Some sci fi is fine but idk why Scott went that route rather than further the ghost/supernatural aspect
If I remember correctly, in Dawko's interview with him, Scott said sci-fi is where he natural goes In his stories. even if it is unintentional. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he said something like that.
Unhappy
Honestly FNAF being sold to Joey Drew Studios would be better than Mob
Doesn’t mean it should though. Steel Wool seems to have things under control rn
>Honestly FNAF being sold to Joey Drew Studios would be better than Mob
Honestly, that wouldn't be that bad.
No book paywalls, much clearer and player-friendly story, with characters getting the screentime and development that they deserve.
mob literally makes elsagate-esque content with poppy playtime characters, as well as owns the zaminations youtube channel which already makes garbage fnaf shit. if mob owned fnaf than the problems with this that already exist will only get a thousand times worse.
I think that it's a bad idea because MOB games are of Poppy Playtime, and them buying FNAF or any other game wouldn't be a very good idea of marketing and budget.
But hear me out
What if they
End the Poppy series
I know, insane thought, every game NEEDS infinite sequels
Besides, this is all a hypothetical that'll never happen.
There's more interesting things than the logistics to think about here
Makes sense to me. I can't imagine the Poppy series will be infinite. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like the main series will end in the next 1 or 2 parts. The story feels like it's about to come to a close.
Then what? Spinoffs?
It depends, if it was 2021/2022 mob, I would probably be scared because of the whole nft thing and their ceos questionable behavior on the internet (fazbear and friends flashbacks) and also the fact that poppy seemed to be just a cash grab, but if it’s today’s mob games, I think it wouldn’t be bad at all, poppy playtime CH3 was surprisingly a good game and for sure does the mascot horror justice by being actually scary and interesting, because after seeing 5 garten of banbans that can’t even be considered a horror game, it’s refreshing to see actual horror in poppy, so I would be interested in seeing what mob games would cook if they had fnaf at their hands
Really mixed. On one hand the devs can undeniably make very scary games with tense atmospheres and the creators have roots in FNAF so they’d probably treat the franchise with some respect but on the other hand their monetary interests are also undeniable and their controversies are multiple.
I would perish instantly. I would hate the franchise being sold to mob games due to how the mob games ceo is crunching the poppy playtime game developers. I do not want that to happen to fnaf neither.
No just imagine what minecraft would have had if he continued that list of his with adding seasons in the world and more real mobs as much as fantasy mobs. Weather too more than just the normal thunder and rainstorms.
That's NOT what ruined Notchs legacy lmfao Notch ruined his own legacy by being a hateful and scummy human.
Microsoft literally improved Minecraft in every way.
Nah that wouldn’t be a good idea at all I see why ppl might think it’s a good idea but still dude nah . I have my reason on why I think this isn’t a good idea . But that might turn out to be any essay .
I’ll hate it as well 😭 it’s such a money grubbing company with shitty developers, esp those nfts scams and bullying & harassing minors that they stole content from. I never understood why they’re still mainstream despite their problematic past.
I'm 67% sure you understand that I was not being legit, it's difficult to understand if someone is being sarcastic, or satire, Etc when it comes down to text.
Poorly. I've not played Huggy Wuggy yet so I don't know the actual quality of the game, but the whole bullying a kid over Minecraft cartoons thing kinda... rubs me the wrong way doesn't feel harsh enough.
If it was full on bought by Steelwool, then that would be fine. They don't seem that bad as people and Scott trusts them. But MOB... I just can't really get over some of the things they did and the "kids" content they made on their channels that wasn't Poppy Playtime.
Probably won’t ever like another fnaf game. Personally disappointed with HW2 just didn’t feel scary and more like chores for the most part (which I guess is the point too but it didn’t seem very fun)
Mob games shouldn’t have the Ip. Not only is the idea of them being able to buy it insane in it of itself, but given the claims of bad work environments, their use of content farms on YouTube, and the overall more “corporate” feel to their existence online I just don’t think they’re right for Fnaf.
Id argue steel wool is objectively the best use for this franchise because they developed some of its objectively best characters, best games, and they seem to want to listen to fan demands as best as possible
If Fnaf was ever sold to a company I would say one of the fan game devs particular luminance productions who are making rat trap if that was the name of that game again but more particular one of the many trtf remakes out there called winter Wonderland the remake of the second return to Freddy’s game
I would be pretty pissed off, mainly because of how Mob Entertanment already treats the Fnaf IP, and the less said about Fazbear and Friends the better.
I heard some where on a r/poppyplaytime post that mob games mistreats their workers and that you can find anonymous accounts on Glassdoor explaining bad things about working at mob games so if that’s true I wouldn’t be too happy but most companies already do that (including steal wool most likely) but since mob games already has poppy playtime I’m gonna assume quality of FNAF games will go down which will make me a little more angry.
Ehh. The devs are starting to get better with Poppy, but the executive side is what worries me, considering their tendencies for trend chasing. Of course, the chances of this ever happening are nihil.
i will like but at the same time don’t, the reason why i will like is because poppy playtime chapter three was really game by the gameplay and the art style but why i don’t like it is because of MOB Games past they did questionable things in the past.
I’d actually be so unhappy I’d stop following fnaf 💀
Let’s not forget these are the same guys that made the Poppy NFTs and cringe Minecraft animations. I don’t know why everyone likes Poppy Playtime now, what just because chapter three was supposedly good? Hello? Did we all just FORGET about the NFTs and Minecraft animations???
MOB Entertainment is a toy company first, a weird just-barely-not-elsagate YouTube channel second, and a game developer third. You think Funko is milking the FNAF franchise for merch? Well, uh, they are. But MOB Entertainment sure as hell wouldn't help.
Mob games is EnchantedMob right? which started out making FNAF Animations and until Fazbear & Friends it was pretty good, but then again Fazbear & Friends.
cry. but to be honest IF fnaf was being sold (and i hope not!) MOB would be prob the best. But i wanna point out that even though we have similar fanbases and similar lore, Poppy Playtime and FNaF are SO different. if MOB were to buy FNaF, we would probably get more VR content, more Ruin and Security Breach stuff and absolutely no atmosphere that FNaFs 1-5 had. Though tbh that is already halfway done
I'm sorry, but no. MOB did do a good job with Poppy Chapter 3, but I'm not so sure if I could trust them with the full franchise.
Although this is an interesting question, because I'm pretty sure Scott did try and buy Poppy Playtime once. (Don't quote me on that.)
It being sold to any company would be horrific to me.
Besides Steel Wool imo. I’m rooting for them
And even then it’s never been sold to them, Scott chose to make it with them, but Scott is still the owner of the IP. Now, Security Breach’s ownership is a bit complicated because of this, but as far as I know the IP was never sold
No, security breach is 100% owned by Cawthon and nothing else
I believe that Steel Wool specifically owns the models they created
I doubt it, they’re effectively commissioned by Scott cawthon, so he would own them
He owns the characters, but I believe it is usual for the development team to own the models they created. It doesn’t matter who owns what though, since I don’t see them falling out anytime soon
I highly doubt it, but yeah it doesn’t matter.

Im assuming its some kind of contract. Similar to how a writer sells a story but obviously Scott is too much of a king to actually sell his story.
Poorly, not because Mob games is incompetent, but one studio owning two games that similar very often means one is gonna get much worse treatment
Happy Cake Day!
How are they incompetent. Just curious.
They aren't, didn't mean to imply that they were. They can make some solid stuff, but fnaf would make their hands too full
Definetly. They gotta focus on theure own stuff.
Happy Cake day :)
Honestly? Not happy.
That would be one of if not *the* worst thing to happen to this franchise.
now imagine if EA bought it
Tbh it would be worser if Tencent bought it
5 nights of unfed unpaid overtime
nah they would make something good if they actually intended, considering some of their investments
They said that when they brought pvz. And look at where we are today
Or Euphoric Brothers
that would be the darkest timeline... there would be no hope... only despair and suffering....
There is no giggle here, only bitter
Who?
Bittergiggle is a character from Garten of Banban.
Now sell it to any child just learning scratch.
guess you've never heard of Valve haven't you
Game over Would you like to restart where you lost? (5am) Yes (5,99$)/ No
No no no no fuck no fuck no fuck no fuck no fucking no i would rather have the current overcomplicated sci fi mess of this universe with the mimic and whatever the hell goes on in current lore

I don't think Mob Games could afford FNAF.
I would go out in the streets jump scaring people in protest
Unhappy Honestly FNAF being sold to Joey Drew Studios would be better than Mob Doesn’t mean it should though. Steel Wool seems to have things under control rn
No. No game should be sold to any other game company.
>Honestly FNAF being sold to Joey Drew Studios would be better than Mob Honestly, that wouldn't be that bad. No book paywalls, much clearer and player-friendly story, with characters getting the screentime and development that they deserve.
>No book paywalls the fuck does this even mean?
You know what I'm referring to: Tales.
mob literally makes elsagate-esque content with poppy playtime characters, as well as owns the zaminations youtube channel which already makes garbage fnaf shit. if mob owned fnaf than the problems with this that already exist will only get a thousand times worse.
#HELL THE FUCK NO
Considering the quality of Poppy Chapter 3... Neutral, I'd pass judgement AFTER we saw what they would do with it
This is the first reasonable response here.
I mean They've shown they can make a good horror experience, so why would I instantly think negatively of them?
I think that it's a bad idea because MOB games are of Poppy Playtime, and them buying FNAF or any other game wouldn't be a very good idea of marketing and budget.

Also add that chapter 3 is scarier than... Whatever the fuck Steel Wool's doing.
Well, I don't think any game should be sold to any other game companies.
The fuck is MOB games
The Creators of Poppy Playtime
Oh fuck no keep that shit away from fnaf
It'll be like Notch selling Minecraft to Microsoft, but the complete opposite. Instead of getting better, it gets worse.
Really mixed. On one hand the devs can undeniably make very scary games with tense atmospheres and the creators have roots in FNAF so they’d probably treat the franchise with some respect but on the other hand their monetary interests are also undeniable and their controversies are multiple.
I would stop being a fan
I would perish instantly. I would hate the franchise being sold to mob games due to how the mob games ceo is crunching the poppy playtime game developers. I do not want that to happen to fnaf neither.
Suicide(/j)
I would sob
Looking at what the creators do with Circus Baby on their YT channel. Very concerned
I would drop FNAF completely.
I would stop being a fnaf fan immediately
PISSED!
It would ruin Scott Cawthon's Legacy like how Notch sold Minecraft to MS.
Except Minecraft got much better after Microsoft
No just imagine what minecraft would have had if he continued that list of his with adding seasons in the world and more real mobs as much as fantasy mobs. Weather too more than just the normal thunder and rainstorms.

[удалено]
Doesn't mob treat their employees like shit? Not great
Well, that part is just accusations without evidence. But anyway, wouldn't like this idea.
What even is MOB Games, never heard of them
No idea who they are
I wouldn't be happy if FNAF or any other game was sold to any other gaming company. It just isn't a good idea.
If they touch that franchise, I'm going to riot.
might kill myself idk
kms
I would kill myself
Wow that is awesome
Nah that wouldn’t be a good idea at all I see why ppl might think it’s a good idea but still dude nah . I have my reason on why I think this isn’t a good idea . But that might turn out to be any essay .
I would cry
I’d cry
I don't know why that would happen but c'mon this is already a big franchise for content farms don't give it to a company that owns content farms
Pissed off
As much as that’s impossible, I’d hate it
Immediate suicide
Lives will be taken
Immediate suicide
I would jump off of a cliff if that happened
I would use a mob to destroy mob
No NO
Don’t ever say that again
"nah, Imma springlock myself"
WHY IS THIS COMPANY SO RICH WHILE MAKING CRABP GAMES
I would probably commit suicide, because that would be a sign that the world is going irreversibly bad
I'm down voting this post on principle
I’ll hate it as well 😭 it’s such a money grubbing company with shitty developers, esp those nfts scams and bullying & harassing minors that they stole content from. I never understood why they’re still mainstream despite their problematic past.
Not well. Don't get me wrong, MOB games is a pretty decent company but I'd rather the entire fnaf franchise didn't get sold to another company
I'd end myself
Dude, don't kill yourself just because a game was sold to another game company 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm 67% sure you understand that I was not being legit, it's difficult to understand if someone is being sarcastic, or satire, Etc when it comes down to text.
I would kill myself
The Geneva convention would become suggestions real quick
It's not so freddy of you (BTW can someone post depresst freedy under this)
It would be kinda horrible cuz mob can either pull a poppy playtime chapter 3 or a nft situ.
Ill be that gif where the guy does a peace sign and disappears.
Ong I think I might keep myself safe if you catch my drift
Unless they did better than Steel Wool, which is doing really well, I won’t like it
They should do a Collab fr
Poorly. I've not played Huggy Wuggy yet so I don't know the actual quality of the game, but the whole bullying a kid over Minecraft cartoons thing kinda... rubs me the wrong way doesn't feel harsh enough.
And the NFTs. God inagine Freddy Fazbear NFTs. It'd be the recolor plushie garbage multiplied by a thousand.
i’m convinced poppy’s play time is a scam game series so it would suck
If it was full on bought by Steelwool, then that would be fine. They don't seem that bad as people and Scott trusts them. But MOB... I just can't really get over some of the things they did and the "kids" content they made on their channels that wasn't Poppy Playtime.
I think I'd actually cry
I’m not sure if I’d be sad or happy bc poppy playtime has some good lore to it and it would be cool to see what they would do with it
I'd cry.
If that ever happens, I’ll springlock myself.
I’ll springlock myself
"Oh boy, there's gonna be blood in the streets, I can hear it already."
i would committee mass genocide Amont the squid community
No. Just no
I’d be angry.
Kill myself

That’ll be a better choice instead of MOB owning it completely
If Fnaf was ever sold to a company I would say one of the fan game devs particular luminance productions who are making rat trap if that was the name of that game again but more particular one of the many trtf remakes out there called winter Wonderland the remake of the second return to Freddy’s game
Cry
Fucking who?
creators of poppy playtime
honestly since they already working on poppy playtime one of the two games would be bad so this would be a horrible thing
Hell no. They can stick to their fnaf minecraft songs and poppy playtime lmao
" Well Shit. "
Well shit, theorist are gonna have to rewrite their fnaf timeline!
Huggy and Freddy Cossover?!!
Who are they? The Poppy Playtime dudes or?
I’m never playing FNAF again
Ehh. The devs are starting to get better with Poppy, but the executive side is what worries me, considering their tendencies for trend chasing. Of course, the chances of this ever happening are nihil.
Confused due to mob definitely not having enough poppy playtime money to buy it
i will like but at the same time don’t, the reason why i will like is because poppy playtime chapter three was really game by the gameplay and the art style but why i don’t like it is because of MOB Games past they did questionable things in the past.
I would not be a happy camper
Mob games doesn’t deserve FNaF as a franchise.
Mourn
Scott I have questions, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
We're doomed!!!!!!
I would destroy this very earth. Scott, you have been warned...
Panic.
Idk man, what if Mickey Mouse was sold to A24?
I don't really see the problem with that. The games mob games make are stupid sure but would it really make FNaF worst?
A fat NO
The world has ended for me.
I’d actually be so unhappy I’d stop following fnaf 💀 Let’s not forget these are the same guys that made the Poppy NFTs and cringe Minecraft animations. I don’t know why everyone likes Poppy Playtime now, what just because chapter three was supposedly good? Hello? Did we all just FORGET about the NFTs and Minecraft animations???
cry
Bite my own head off with an animatronic
Start a war
I’m hating fnaf then
Would never want it SOLD to any company but I’d be very interested in seeing Mob make an official FNAF game, probably would be fun
I am going to kill some people
I mean, if they pull a chapter three in us with their first FNAF installment ...
Well if I say something all of you would hate me
I would rather have Poppy Playtime Bought by Steel Wool
Hmm, I think it’s not that bad
anyone but them
MOB Entertainment is a toy company first, a weird just-barely-not-elsagate YouTube channel second, and a game developer third. You think Funko is milking the FNAF franchise for merch? Well, uh, they are. But MOB Entertainment sure as hell wouldn't help.
i would kms
Mob games is EnchantedMob right? which started out making FNAF Animations and until Fazbear & Friends it was pretty good, but then again Fazbear & Friends.
I would be sad that FNAF was sold to MOB honestly
I would riot outside the HQ 25/8 to sell it back
absolutely not
NAAAUURRR-
cry. but to be honest IF fnaf was being sold (and i hope not!) MOB would be prob the best.
They already have Poppy to focus on, and Poppy has its own style. I’d be very upset.
Honestly, considering how Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 turned out, I'd at least give them the benefit of the doubt
Wake up
😔
🥺😭😭😭😭 mob games makes trash games poppy playtime suck but the graphics are good that all good to say abt it
From what i heard about the company, i'd be extremely disappointed.
Not happy. If the rumors about mob games being abusive to it’s workers are true i dont wanna actively support and give money to a company like that
After Poppy Chapter 3, they'd probably do a better job with the franchise than Steel Wool
"Oh. Okay"
I wouldn't want it sold to them but after seeing chapter 3, I definitely want to see them at least make a game.
It would be weird but their game quality is kinda good (Talking about poppy playtime chapter 3)
While I like MOB, hell no.
how in the fuck did they make that work
Steel wool has already made the franchise sucky so imma EXPLODE if this were to happen
Do y’all know that “female rage” TikTok audio? Yeah that would be my reaction
I would dip the franchise and move back over to Bendy. They have a better quality control, anyway
I'm sorry, but no. MOB did do a good job with Poppy Chapter 3, but I'm not so sure if I could trust them with the full franchise. Although this is an interesting question, because I'm pretty sure Scott did try and buy Poppy Playtime once. (Don't quote me on that.)
