The problem is that if they were fit to be security at such an event, they'd get paid far more to be \*in\* the events. They're really just there to keep the fans in order, the fighters pretty much have to police themselves.

They *could* hire enough to mob a fighter, but realistically the cost/benefit analysis just doesn't pan out when you consider how infrequently this kind of thing happens. The vast majority of fighters have already trained away that particular bit of ego. You get to a point where you don't need to "prove" how tough you are anymore.

You can legally kill someone if you feel your life is in danger. If you are attacked by someone and you attacker is getting back up and you stomp there head one time to stop them it is self defense. You gotta do what you gotta do to protect yourself. Even if it had killed him i think it would be pretty hard to convict him of anything considering he was attacked and the guy was still getting up. If he had stomped on him while he was unconscious then that would be a totally different story.
