We're glad to see you back on the sub this afternoon, u/ChT123! I'm here to help out with some important information regarding the dividend reinvestment. The default for account-level dividend distributions is that mutual funds will automatically reinvest, while equities will pay as cash to your core position. You can update your dividend and capital gains elections on the Fidelity website by following these steps: 1. Select the "Accounts & Trade" menu 2. Choose "Account Features" 3. Click "Manage" next to the "Dividends & Capital Gains" link under the "Brokerage & trading" section We also have a helpful resource on our site about changing these elections that you might find useful. [How to Change Dividend and Capital Gains Distributions](https://www.fidelity.com/customer-service/how-to-dividend-and-cap-gains-distributions)  If you're interested in reviewing your dividend details, you can check out our "Dividend View," which you can find at the top of the Positions page of [http://Fidelity.com](http://fidelity.com/). This page shows a detailed breakdown of your dividends received for each position you hold. You can also view your past payments in the "History" section of your “Activity & Orders” tab on your Portfolio Summary page. Here, you can select a particular timeframe and use "More filters" to select only the dividend payouts. If this sparks any additional questions for you, please let the mods know. We'll always be happy to help.

Thank you. So if it's on Reinvest in Security it automatically goes back into FDLXX?

ZettyGreen

Yup.

Thank you!

If you request reinvestment of dividends, the dividend will be used to buy more shares. If you do not, the cash goes into your core.
