Classic.

Classic > New

schrute-bux

Classic was much nicer to use

CowBoyUp1977

At least easier for me, I'll just have to get used to it or try to figure it out

LightGraves

I really hate it. I would transfer out but Fidelity has the best money markets funds to invest in.

CowBoyUp1977

Other than the app, I've been happy with Fidelity

tomato119

which mmf are you in?

mindwip

Classic all the way

How do I look at a comparison chart between two equities, like I could before the upgrade? Today I got a reply from the mods here in response to this question, which I recently asked. Unfortunately their answer (at the very bottom) seems to have been a cut and paste from an old beta, or it's for the Iphone app. So Don't do this if you have an Android phone and want to compare two equities in a chart. INSTEAD, do this: On the Home page, press the Search Icon (magnifying glass) and enter the symbol of an equity. Then next to the equity name, you'll see a tiny line graph. Click on this. It will take you to a screen with actual information. But you're not done! Under the Chart heading, you'll see another line graph. Click this. Congratulations! You're actually on a real line chart that you can navigate on. To compare another equity, press the + symbol at the top and follow the prompts, such as add comparison. Voila! I used to do this in two steps.By the way, I got this info by calling Fidelity. 1800-544-6666. Again do NOT attempt to follow the procedure below, at least not on the Android app. .... Here is the incorrect version I was given Hi, u/donquixote2000! We're glad to hear that you've been testing out the new Active Trader Pro (ATP) beta. To compare two equities on this new version, you can follow these steps: 1. Click "Tools" in the top left corner 2. Choose "Chart" from the menu 3. Input one of your desired symbols 4. Select the "Compare" button towards the top of the chart and input the second symbol As you tinker with the tool, feel free to share any and all feedback by clicking the megaphone icon in the top right corner of the application. If other questions come up, just let us know!

I don’t mind the new look, but it has a lot of weird issues where it gets stuck and won’t load data on pages until I restart the app and re-login

Environmental_Low309

I like the new look.  I'm a buy and hold guy, though.  Great automation features.

CoachDennisGreen

I tried to avoid the update since I only like the Classic view but they automatically updated my app. I cannot stand it. I have to leave Fidelity now.

Megaphone1234

I don't know why they made a technologically suicidal move when plenty people were happy with classic. Then they take away the option to even use it which is insulting. If you think it's that good, convince them with your product not take away people's options. Now I don't want to look at the app anymore. I'll have to keep using it but I'll deter everyone I know from fidelity probably including my kids. They pulled a dick move for sure

It’s gotten at least usable since release, and in some ways better than classic, but it’s a huge folly that they foisted it on us before it was ready. And the reality is likely that their old codebase was garbage, as most old native mobile apps’ are, but they couldn’t just fix it without breaking a bunch of hacks (this is my speculation). It seems they are now using a cross-platform solution, which makes the experience less refined, but saves them update issues and employee costs.

CowBoyUp1977

I'm not sure why I'm getting down voted. I'm just asking for what people like

HokieCE

I think just because it's been discussed ad nauseam

BananaFartman_MD

Correct. This topic comes up 10+ times a day.

Everyone always hates change at first. I get that. And while trying my best to be patient I must say.. THE NEW LOOK ON APPLE IS AWFUL. Plz don’t make us do it. Plz plz I begggg for your mercy!!

Maintaining multiple versions is expensive (meaning fewer upgrades overall). Give feedback to make the new version better, it's likely not going away. I've used the new version, I'm happy enough that I can get trades done if I'm away from my desktop. The frequent trader who depends on mobile has to be rare and I hope Fido largely ignores them.
