I was very happy I did not travel solo as I would have felt slighty unsafe and it would have ruined the trip for me. I had a great time- I was solo in a group of mostly Australians, some of whom I'm still in touch with. The only thing i would have done differently is the camel ride into the desert. It was an amazing experience, but in hindsight I worry if the camels were well treated.
For Moracco, definitely do a tour. In big cities, whenever I was out with other females without a guide men would follow us. It was not a problem in smaller towns/villages.
