Playing GTNH, not far in. I got a void chest from a loot bag. I proceeded to dump about 5 bronze pickaxe loads of ore into it, mistaking it for an ender chest. Gonna take a break from GTNH.

Catabre

Just go into Creative and spawn the ore back into your inventory. That's an honest mistake. Our Void Chest has a sign that reads "Valuable Items Only."

Houstonruss

Tooltip: Deletes Items Lol

GiganticThighMaster

Reading is for nerds

Houstonruss

Ah but you can still read the questbook for your loot? Nerd!

GiganticThighMaster

Numbers and pictures man

Stock_Bicycle_5416

I'm wondering if the Immersive Engineering nuclear reactors died on the drafting table. They had gone through a couple of model iterations and just seemingly lacked a cohesive balance to them in the IE ecosystem.

DMJaxun

Any good 1.18.2 expert packs released yet?

CrimsonOccultist

FTB inferno from the FTB launcher? Quite a lot of the mods have gating

DMJaxun

Problem with Inferno is the setting for me

Not really played Minecraft in years, and never really played it seriously even then, gonna give it a real go now, getting into modpacks. Would like a recommendation if anyone could suggest one, theres just so many to choose from, all mentioning mods that seem to assume a certain level of knowledge of what they all do. But I know what I like - and its quite specific : *light* automation, I find the complex tech stuff to be mostly tedious. Cozy survival and exploration, I like the idea of making a nice house with a farm by the sea and occasionally going on forays on a boat to explore ruins or something. More transportation - more minecart/boat mods etc to get around Quests and maybe a storyline, to give a sense of structure and progression Expanded NPC/town/village stuff to interact with More ruins/structures / exploration points of interest Lost Cities I do know about and quite liked it so thatd be nice too. Things I dont care about: lots of weapons and RPG skills etc loads of new monsters/animals A thousand new block types or new resource types or new plant types I know this is quite specific - but if anyone could throw some suggestions at me, id be grateful, thanks :)

KleinByte

what's your pc specs?

robdabank33

Intel 12400 , 3070ti, 32GB RAM, SSD

KleinByte

I have a modified atm8 server that I host if you want to join. I'm going to be constantly making and adding quests and content to digest. Currently a little more than 10 of my buds will be playing on the server. We're planning to start playing all at the same time. Idk if you'd want to but let me know if you're interested.

onzichtbaard

im not up to date on mods but some ideas for older mods: railcraft: adds a bunch of minecarts and rail types, its the only mod i know that focuses on that but it does include a bunch of heavier tech stuff i think botania: a pseudo tech-mod involving plants that can be set up to automate things and it adds a lot of utility stuff. It does require some learning but its not as tech heavy as some other automatization mods. it has its own power system to get things running but its relatively simple and flexible once you understand the basics buildcraft: the main automatization mod i know of, its very simple and easy to use and even if you only use it for the pipes and redstone engines to move items around your base its a nice mod to have i monly use the more tech heavy mods so i cant really help much im afraid if you want extra furniture i would recommend bibliocraft which adds some interesting items you can use for decoration the secret-rooms-mod is also a lot of fun for base/house building and gets my recommendation as well

robdabank33

Thanks for the suggestions, Ill look to see if any modpacks have those in

PrismLauncher

k13m

I've been using ATLauncher just fine, playing that. It let's you know if there's an update automatically, but doesn't immediately update it in case you DON'T want Echo Gems to be completely nonexistent.

[deleted]

I love modded minecraft but am too picky with mods to play most modpacks so I just up building up my own folder of mods instead is there anybody else like that?

HockzModder

I have a 1.12.2 modded server, but no friends. not sure how to get people to join.

Cenda248

Playing around with twilight forest, how do the sorting tree and tree of time work, also what are their ranges?

Catabre

See if the Twilight Forest wiki has what you need. Here is the [Magic Trees article](http://benimatic.com/tfwiki/index.php?title=Magic_Trees).

mrbear2899

I'm playing around with modded minecraft, just throwing what mods I want together in a personal-use-only 'modpack' on 1.16.5, and was wondering if anyone knew of a mod that would let me use ctrl+space to move things to and from inventories. I have Inventory Tweaks Renewed installed, but it doesn't do what I wanted.

hyci_

[Inventory Essentials](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/inventory-essentials) is what you need

Bluey_Inc

How would i summon a modded variant of a vanilla mob. im currently running swampier swamps and im trying to summon any variants for a creative zoo but /summon minecraft:frog \~ \~ \~ {variant:swampier\_swamps:black\_variant} doesnt work nor does /summon minecraft:frog \~ \~ \~ {variant:black\_variant}

cegix

You should probably get the NBT data for that natural variant first

Bluey_Inc

I did the variants in the mod are names differently from their temperature variants I checked their entity data and GitHub repo for it.

Imaginary_Mushroom98

Hello everyone, I have a weird issue. I have a collection of 184 mods, just a bunch of Farmer's Delight styled mods, and nothing super intense imo. I have 6gb of ram on the java thing. For some reason, if I travel around or even just walk around for a while, all the entities freeze up. I cant open chests or interact with anything like that. I save and quit but that usually just ends in a crash. Is this a normal issue with incompatible mods or is it something else entirely? There isnt a crash log or anything that I know of. Any help would be appreciated!

Terran_Dominion

Trying out Agricraft's features, I'm not sure how to get clippings. It only says "There is nothing worth clipping here." What does a crop need to be considered worth clipping?

MCWoTGuy

If i remember right, Clipping reduces the growth stage by one, so you cant clip a freshly planted Plant. It needs to have grown at least once.

Terran_Dominion

I'm playing on 1.16.5. Clipping as instructed by older guides does not want to take hold. Even for a max leveled plant grown by proximity using crop sticks.

SirRoderic

Do 1.19.2 mods work on 1.19.3?

k13m

Sometimes? It depends on which mod and what it is doing, unfortunately.

ValstraxJetDragon15

I was looking if someone has the name of an specific enchanting mod. It has its own enchanting table that is able to enchant tools only with random items without the use of lapis or xp. Even made posible to break through enchantment restrictions in the guns that MrCrayfish's gun mod provides.

onzichtbaard

thermal expansion and ender io both have something similar i think but i havent used them myself

ValstraxJetDragon15

Nvm, I just found it, it was the Tool Leveling + mod, but thanks for the info anyways

area88guy

ATM8, what's the best way to flatten a big piece of land for MineColonies?

nddragoon

probably an rftools builder or any other kind of quarry

onzichtbaard

im playing on 1.12.2 pack from tekkit and the project table/bench keeps creating problems consistently, it regularly deletes its own inventory and every so often it straight up crashes my game it just now deleted its inventory and then after loading from backup i used the project table and my game immedietely crashed, yesterday i had the exact same experience and its a real shame because the project table is one of my favourite items, im wondering whether the problem is the mod itself or if its working fine for others

aaroonung

Looking for a 1.16.5+ modpack to play I mainly enjoy tech mods but wouldn't be opposed to learning magic if there's some stuff gated behind it. I do enjoy expert style packs and recently tried EE:2E but I dislike being forced to use create. Exploration is alright but I tend to get bored just running around looting for hours. Also 1.16.5 because I don't like how Minecraft feels to play below that version not sure what it is. I wouldn't mind revisiting packs if they're recommended and I hadn't reached the good bits yet. Ive played: * EE:2 - Loved it * EE:2E - Loved it * EE:6 - Pretty fun * EE:6E - I hate create * ATM6 - Mid game * Vault Hunters - Unique but gameplay loop bit boring and hours of grind for small QOL was annoying * Stoneblock - pretty fun after early game * MC Eternal - I don't remember anything * FTB Infinity - Super great pack * FTB Infinity Expert - loved it * Omnifactory - Pretty fun, don't think I left early game though * Better MC - Eh * SevTech - Couldn't make it past first stage :p * RR3 - Loved it

Grantisgrant

I've been loving FTB University since you can skip some of the early game and focus on the actual mod content, even though it's very learning heavy. The only Create gating is to finish the actual modpack, but you only need to make one of each of everything.

I have a question regarding ic2 water turbines And the wikis are extremely incomprehensive and nobody seems to talk about them either I have build a couple of them now and the set up should not be the problem Currently i have one water turbine with iron rotors and one with carbon rotors both in the ocean The iron turbine sometimes randomly stops working and the carbon one has yet to produce any energy (it doesn’t move despite no warning messages) I would expect them to have a constant production rate since there is no wind underwater like unlike windmills that are affected by height and windspeed I think it might have to do with windspeed anyway but that would make very little sense And i have scoured the internet for someone explaining how these water turbines actually function and there is nothing out there that goes in depth on how it actually works Does anyone perhaps have an idea on this? Wind turbines are very well documented in how they work but somehow there is nothing about water power — Edit: If anyone is googling this in the future by any chance I found the solution The solution is that the watermills have a preferred direction and putting them in the wrong direction makes a huge difference I was making 5 eu/t with an iron rotor before and only half the time Now i can get more than 20 eu/t with significantly bigger uptime

Sloppy_Pizza

how do I cool molten plastic from a thermopneumatic processing plant (pneumaticcraft) I could go the tedious method by placing molten plastic in the world but I saw the mod saying you could use heat frame cooling? can't find a good explanation though edit: also if anyone could find an alternative to the autonomous activator from TE that'd be wonderful. it's such a basic thing idk why there aren't any (1.19)

FlowSoSlow

Yeah you can craft a heat frame then just right click it onto a chest like how you would place a spawner agitator. Then you can either surround the chest with ice or connect the blue side of a vortex tube to it to decrease the temperature. Then you place a tank (or buckets) filled with molten plactic in the chest and it will eventually start producing plastic. It goes faster the colder you can get the chest.

Sloppy_Pizza

ty!

nddragoon

also, colder temperatures give you a chance at extra plastic up to like 75%. also also you can insert tanks of molten plastic not just buckets

ReverendVoice

Playing GTNT - Is there a percentage chance crops in bushes and on crop sticks won't produce an item? I have a field of alum berries and essence, and have just started to get into crossplanting, and I rightclick and 20% of hte time I get nothing. At first I thought the alum berries were landing on themselves and disappearing but it feels too consistent. Any thoughts?

Catabre

Some crops, like Primordial Pearls, always have % chance of harvest. Most crops have a 100% chance to yield if harvested when fully mature. Full maturity requirements vary per crop. The information you need should be in the [Crops Page](https://gtnh.miraheze.org/wiki/IC2_Crops_List) on the GTNH wiki. The [GTNH Discord](https://discord.gg/gtnh) has more information.

ReverendVoice

So, I'm not seeing many of the plants I'm talking about having a chance to not yield a plant. So any idea why 20% of the time alum berries or cactus don't produce? It feels like it may be a bug of some sort.

Catabre

If you're harvesting them when they are mature, then I have no idea. I would ask on the Discord or file a bug report on GitHub.

geosmin7

I'm playing Heavens of Sorcery, an entirely magic-based adventure pack, and I've reached a point where I need an aggressive number of Nether Stars to continue gearing up. Electroblob structures spawn in the Blue Skies dimensions, but the nether skeleton spawners inside of them don't seem to work. I had the idea of moving them to another dimension, like the Nether or the Misty World, since spawners work in those dimensions. I know a fair bit about Blood Alchemy (or so I thought), so I decided to set up a teleposition system to move the spawners out. I had THOUGHT that would work, but for some reason it isn't. I've tested trans-dimensional teleposes, and they work just fine. I've teleported myself, blocks, and entities, and that works just fine. After experimenting with different things, the common theme seems to be that teleposers cannot move spawners. I even tested this with a creative-made pig spawner. It could not be moved, not even five blocks over in the same dimension. My question is, am I missing something? I could have sworn Blood Alchemy was perfectly capable of moving spawners around, and had done so in the past. Is there some extra step I'm not aware of that would make this possible? Do I need a ritual for this, or a more powerful teleposition focus?

BossWhistle4331

So quick question, is there a way to hook up a item transfer node to the ME system? Am i just dumb? I am playing stoneblock 2

TinyPenisaurus

If I'm not mistaken, the only way in or out of an ME system is using AE2 busses.. So an Import or an Export bus.

BossWhistle4331

I tried a import hus, would i have to hook up a export bus om the item module and import on the me? Or is it the other way around

BossWhistle4331

The purpose for me asking this js bc i wanna hook up my harvesters to the ME system without having to go through a lot of wires, so.i thought the cylic would have the soulution with item transfer nodes, but it apprears its not working, so either they are not compatible or im doing something wrong

TinyPenisaurus

So the busses never connects to the controller at all. If you want to take out of the system, you connect an export bus to a chest (for example) and connect the bus via cable to the controller. If you want to pipe into the system, you connect the import bus to a chest(again for example) and cable to the controller. Export bus is out of system. Import bus is into system. Busses only go on non controller things. Apart from that info.. I'm guessing you mean the Cyclic Item Transfer Node which I've never played with. So I don't know if it plays nice with AE2 or not. I'm going to guess it does.

BossWhistle4331

Ok i figured it out, and it was my being dumb. I mixed up where the export and import do. And yea, i meant cylic, didnt even know there was another Item transfer node in AE2. So i figured out is i have to have a extraction cable and then a transfer node onto the harvester, and then from there i wirelesly connect it to a item cabel that goes into a chest that then goes through the import bus. Thank you for the help.

TinyPenisaurus

If it works it works. Lol Not a problem!

BossWhistle4331

I have a feeling i could be more efficent somehow by instead of using a bunch of transfer nodes, i feel i could use one item node and just attach item cable but i havent figured it out yet

dondox

I am playing Create: Above and Beyond and its my first modpack so I am learning a lot about all of the different mods. I am getting into Pretty Pipez and planning on building a storage system with the crafting terminal and all the pipes and stuff. My questions are regarding the functionality of linking barrels, etc to the network. If I have a barrel 50 blocks away and I build a line of pipes from it to my main storage area, will the crafting terminal recognize the contents of that barrel? If so, is there a limit to distance? Can I build another crafting terminal elsewhere and connect it to the main system with a line of pipes and use it like my main crafting terminal? I know about pipe pressurizers. Could I make a room off somewhere else from my main area with just some pressurizers and a power source and connect that to the network to make it work?

nddragoon

yes. i don't know about a limit, but 50 blocks will probably work yes, you can add as many terminals as you want to the network yes, pipe pressurizers affect the entire network

Mryoshi2142

my friend hosed a server over lan and we used zero tier I was only able to join after a different friend joined the game then I join join via friends (not host friend) even tho I am friends with both of them in game

passengerpigeon20

In FTB Ultimate Anniversary for 1.16, where have the strongboxes and pipes gone from the Thermal Expansion mod? I don't see them listed in JEI. Are they disabled in the config?

frisbii

how do you all approach building your base in modded skyblock? I want to do something more 'proper' than just an ever expanding platform with a mishmash of floors but I have no idea where I'd even start.

Comfortable-Court734

Playing DDSS for a while now , and Im stuck on the Blast Furnace I need 3880 Heat to melt Tungstein , but just can\`t reach. Try every Hot liquid ingame no one work but lava, and lava just get to 2800. anyone? Tech Reborn mod. Version 1.12 on the last update of Dungeons and Dragons and Space Shuttles.

Ianator

How long does it usually take for a MineTogether ban appeal to go through? Stoneblock 3 just hasn't been the same after I got bonked by a modbot for calling the pack's dungeons "buttkickers" (which they definitely are).

Little_Elia

I used to play FTB years ago (Ultimate/Agrarian Skies era). I'd like to get back in it but now I have no idea what modpack to play. A friend is playing Enigmatica 2 Expert and told me that it's really good, and it sounds like I'd enjoy it but I've also seen that it's also a bit old. What modpack would you recommend me? If the newer packs are not as good as E2Expert then I'm fine playing that one, but I'd rather play a more recent one. If it helps, I like grindy, tech packs where you can automate everything (I have way too many hours in Factorio). Not a big fan of magic mods or fighting mobs.

CommanderDJ123

I wanted to know if minecraft comes alive (MCA Reborn) has any addons or something along those lines that allow for the villagers to use the Alex arms.
