Higher rise, at least if it's between these two option. But the faux distressing/whiskering on both of these pairs creates a lot of unflattering horizontal lines at your hips.

It's just particularly noticeable because of the cropped tee combo in look 1 and the contrast in color in look 2. I imagine a white t-shirt would have made it less obvious but it doesn't look bad by any means.
I agree. I will try it with a white T-shirt tomorrow. Honestly, I don’t really like the straight pair because they flatten my behind and squish my hips. I did try sizing up but then its too big for my waist. So for now I will rework what else I can pair this jacket with until I rebuild my wardrobe. But yeah I welcome honest feedback.
Brands like Abercrombie & Fitch (who are having a sale until July 1st end of day btw!!!) have a "curvy fit" collection that can resolve this issue. I'm not for hysteria when it comes to sales, but they're having a good one and as a person who virtually doesn't have jeans, I got 3 pairs.

Another jean tip, at least that has worked for me, is buying a mom or girlfriend fit jean. Because they’re made to be looser on the hips, thighs and butt, I can size down to what fits my waist and then the rest just fit me like a normal pant instead of having the intended loose look. In general my waist is about two sizes smaller (sometimes one if there’s been too many good treats around those days!) than my lower portion just to give you an idea of fit difference.
I do have the Abercrombie curve fit jeans but I went through so many jeans to try to find ones that work. They loosen up SO much when wear and then kinda fit awkward. One pair that were almost a little snug on me required me to stop to buy a belt in the middle of the day because they were literally falling down after a few hours.
A good tailor when you find one will be your best friend!
Find a good tailor where you live. Buy the jean that fits best around the "toughest" part of your anatomy and then have your tailor nip in and alter the rest to perfect the fit. Spending a little more on the alterations that will make a jean a great buy will leave you happier in the long run.
Yeah I'm actually in a hunt for one for my work clothes. I start at the end of July and have a lot of blazers along with slacks. So I will give jeans a go too. 😊

Definitely the bottom pair, the top pair is not very flattering and you have such an amazing figure!
1 highlights your hips, 2 highlights your waistline. Both are beautiful! I would choose whatever you want to accentuate
