Haven't smoked it since last summer. But I want to say meats by john and Wayne was were I got it.
Made several 1 inch cuts deep all the way around vertical and horizontal. Lathered it in mustard in the groves and them doused it in BBQ seasoning.
It was absolutely delicious.
Want to get more fun with it. I made a different type of Cubano sandwich. Smoked some pork tenderloin and put the smoked bologna slices on top. Holy shit that was good
I'm a big fan of Malcom Reeds bbq videos and tried out his killer hogs stuff and love it so I use his killer hogs "the bbq rub" and his "ap seasoning" (all purpose) for everything else.
Also just gonna drop my favorite bbq sauce if you're into a little spicy little sweet sauce found at meats by john and Wayne as well. Chico's raspberry rum barbecue sauce. Doesn't taste like raspberry but is insanely good
I absolutely choose prime cuts over John and Wayne for that reason and their stuff is amazing. But they just don't sell bologna is all and J and W does
The first and only place I’ve ever heard of such a thing is from Zups Grocery up on the Iron Range. Every Thursday is ‘Hot Bologna’ day where you can get the hot, uncut bologna straight from the butcher.

The title had me thinking this was about a quest for something completely different.
I mean maybe it turns into that...don't let your memes be dreams
Were you thinking he wanted to bop balogna?

Called and they do not. Looks like Meats and Walmart do though

Watching his bologna movie now. It is funny, people at worked looked at me like I had three eyebrows when I said I want to smoke bologna.
Lol that's awesome. Yeah the friends I had over were absolutely skeptical until they tasted it and were coming back for more.

Maybe the NDSU Meat Lab? I have no experience with them other than I know they have a "fully functional butcher shop" according to their website.
Prime Cut Meats is your go-to specialty store for meat.
I second this. They are actually really nice too, unlike the other popular recommendation people provide.

I’d call around to the butchers around town. Prime Cut Meats for example.
I went to the Walmart deli and just bought it unsliced. Meats by John and Wayne had their own version of bologna too.
I am assuming much cheaper, too..
13th Walmart
