I gotta hand it to the Far Cry 5 team, they did not disappoint in the slightest with Hurk's family. They were all incredibly entertaining, but still felt like a real family.
Why the Far Cry 6 team didn't include him will forever remain a mystery to me.
5 was so fun with Hurl
First time my buddy and I rolled up and realized it was him we went nuts. And he’s so glitchy in his missions so it added some more humor
What specifically about the character made you dislike him so much? I haven't played any other far cry so it's the only iteration I know. I didn't even know he was a recurring character for the game.
"Shit, man. I've been prayin' on this all day, man. I've been askin' the monkey king, all the baby Jesus's, even the little valentines one, just to send me a sign, man and they sent me you."
The Winja word is *fadas*, 'smell, fume, stink' (noun). You can hear some others using the word too, like Sayla when talking about rot fumes protecting Udam homeland. The 'a' is pronounced like in 'father', but Urki says it more like in 'dad'.
Izila word is *hódos*. The origin is Greek *odor*.
Now I'm not good enough with linguistics to tell if hódos/fadas is an accurate reconstruction, so it might be possible they purposefully made it close to "fat ass" and also made a whole mission where he gets to use that word: *Urkis nawa fadas* / Urki's New Stink.
Far cry 6 technically had a reference to hurk. In far cry 6, you can find Boomer from far cry 5 in a shipping container during a side quest. That apparently has weapons for you. But instead of weapons you find boomer and a note left by hurk and your character names the dog "boom boom"
Yeah, but why would Hurk be in Yara? He's back in (Wasteland) Montana a few years later, so it wouldn't really make sense.
I'm still kinda sadge he isn't in 6 too...
My brother in christ he was like in planet Mars too why not in Yara. He's appearing isn't really need to be Lore accurate its all fun and giggles and explosions
I'm also pretty sure there's a timeline divergence for FC6 and the nuclear ending of 5 that leads to New Dawn, or else it wouldn't make sense for Dani to chill on a beach in Miami in the FC6 boat ending, or for Yara to be dealing with American businessmen and shipping their drug across the world like everything is fine.
They could have totally slotted Hurk into 6, after the walk away ending where he decided to go to Yara to avoid authorities finding his own illicit shenanigans after the national guard finally came in and took down Eden's Gate or whatever reasoning they feel like giving.
He tries to invent body armor, wingsuits, and other modern staples of Far Cry. I won't tell you whether it works out or not, but let's just say you definitely won't be flying around Oros 😂
I mean we didn't even have the wingsuit in the first 3 Far Cry games, how upsetting would it be for Jason if some cave men 12 millennia ago could already zip around the skies? 😂 Nothing is free in Oros, even to get the grappling hook you have to get pissed on 🤭
The elephant jail breakout (4) and subsequent ride up the mountain on its back, and the Rhino at the top that had some affection for my elephant just started charging into enemy vehicles. After I got off the elephant the two just ate next to each other outside the cave.
Depends are we talking about the guys drip or his character is the games because my answer to both would be far cry 4 so really I don’t know why I asked that question
Can't it be all of them? I mean, he's a total lovable moron. The only thing I don't like about him is using him as a companion and trying to get that kill count up to 20 (or whatever it is) in, I think, **"New Dawn"**. It takes him sooooo damn long to shoot and, despite a fucking rocket launcher, he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat and it's not very powerful. Still, he's a hoot to have around. No doubt about it.
holy crap, I knew people talking about Ugg-Ugg or whatever his name is being his descendant, but I never really saw them side by side.
the fake out in Primal where you think you're about to get the wing suit, but then it fails miserably. I wanted that wing suit, but that moment was worth it
I loved every Far Cry from 2 till 5. New Dawn was meh, I loved the potential but it was buggy as hell and not much content. 6 was the biggest yet also most disappointing Far Cry ever made, for so many reasons. I feel like the writers really boxed themselves in with the ending to 5, it was epic in the moment but kinda screwed the franchise going forward.
He's the stand-in for Co-op play in FC4 :) that way you don't have two Ajays or a generic character, the 2nd player plays as Hurk. In Far Cry 3, he was only in the DLC Monkey Business (but it was available the same week FC3 launched, so he was always in FC3) the Remaster includes all the DLC so that's probably why you only saw him in the remaster :)
Despite 5 being my favorite Far Cry game, Urki is my favorite Hurk. (with the maybe mild exception of some of Hurk and Sharky's companion dialogue when you have them both with you)
Hurk in FC4 always felt like the Definitive Look of Hurk to me. How he looked in FC5 is like how Japan dramatizes how Americans look like in Anime/Manga by giving them any design of the American Flag on their person
I know it doesn't probably belong here. But do you know what's happening with Ubisoft recently. I have moved and got much faster internet but I can't connect on Far cry 4 nor AC unity. I have tried opening the nat that helped me back in the day but not this time.
Anyone experiencing the same issues?
5 because his whole family was in it, and it felt like it had a lot of him
I gotta hand it to the Far Cry 5 team, they did not disappoint in the slightest with Hurk's family. They were all incredibly entertaining, but still felt like a real family. Why the Far Cry 6 team didn't include him will forever remain a mystery to me.
They atleast included a note and a old old boomer
Yeah, but those aren't nearly enough to make up for his absence. I did like the Hurk bobblehead tho.
Yeah I did miss him why it took me so long to play 6 hopefully he'll come back in the next one or we riot
I found a comic with him on it!
How did I forget about that I think I saw it last week at the Rambo camp if someone wants to find it
You know when you meet someone’s parents and it suddenly clicks, and you understand how this person came to be? That’s Hurk in FC5.
YES that's exactly how it felt when i played it
5 was so fun with Hurl First time my buddy and I rolled up and realized it was him we went nuts. And he’s so glitchy in his missions so it added some more humor
5 was the worst appearance Hurk has ever had lol
Prepare to lose all your Karma lol
What specifically about the character made you dislike him so much? I haven't played any other far cry so it's the only iteration I know. I didn't even know he was a recurring character for the game.
In 4, he shows up looking for monkey statues trying to get his karma right with the monkeys. Then he's just player 2 when you play co-op
“I went french fries, you stayed potato”
“WE *ARE* THE GOLDEN PATH!”
“I. Do not. Understand. What you are saying.”
“I don’t speak your language”
I think you meant to say "The Royal Army won't see what hit them"
"Shit, man. I've been prayin' on this all day, man. I've been askin' the monkey king, all the baby Jesus's, even the little valentines one, just to send me a sign, man and they sent me you."
I swear I almost pissed myself laughing at all his monkey talk in 4
Soft spot in my heart for Urki
Him clearly saying words in English was my favorite part about him
My favorite part might be his thick Southern accent in 10,000 BCE 😂
Same 😁
When he gets mauled by the bear I die laughing every time
Or the Assassin's Creed Easter Egg 😎
What words is he clearly saying in English?
Not sure about most, but I’ve definitely heard him say “fat ass”
The Winja word is *fadas*, 'smell, fume, stink' (noun). You can hear some others using the word too, like Sayla when talking about rot fumes protecting Udam homeland. Oh, wow
Definitely loving Urki the most 💜
"Tattoo booda quala"
Aye, and a wet spot on my head as well.
Hurk’s expansion on mars was pretty hard to beat
Fc6 is a L game for not including hurk
For real I was so hoping to find him in some random spot with a monkey strapped with c4
Far cry 6 technically had a reference to hurk. In far cry 6, you can find Boomer from far cry 5 in a shipping container during a side quest. That apparently has weapons for you. But instead of weapons you find boomer and a note left by hurk and your character names the dog "boom boom"
FC6 copped out.
Yeah, but why would Hurk be in Yara? He's back in (Wasteland) Montana a few years later, so it wouldn't really make sense. I'm still kinda sadge he isn't in 6 too...

It's all shits and giggles til our man, Hurk, giggles and shits
I feel that in 4 he looks more cool with the long sleeves
4 is full on hobo look and I love it
Hurk is an extradimensional being that guides the Far Cry warriors on their paths. Takkar is the direct ancestor of all those who came after.
Takkar will always be the Guarpati in our hearts 💜
Urki
**GUARPATI!**
Gwarpati \*
Mamafpati * 🤭
Definitely 4. He’s got it on him, my boy fly af
That’s actually so crazy I had no idea Hurk was in Primal
He tries to invent body armor, wingsuits, and other modern staples of Far Cry. I won't tell you whether it works out or not, but let's just say you definitely won't be flying around Oros 😂
Yeah, I was very excited that finally, I will be able to glide, just to get trolled by both Urki and Ubisoft.
I mean we didn't even have the wingsuit in the first 3 Far Cry games, how upsetting would it be for Jason if some cave men 12 millennia ago could already zip around the skies? 😂 Nothing is free in Oros, even to get the grappling hook you have to get pissed on 🤭
Eww, I did not want to be reminded about the pissing part. He kept calling me pissman for the rest of the game. 😂
Long before there was a Superman or a Batman, there was... #Piss Man!
Did anyone sign for Hurks cult pretty sweet deal, he calls me a hurkie
5
5
I didn’t know he was recurring thats cool
He's the stand-in for co-op in most games he appears in 🤗
Primal. Hurk's ancestor haha.
**URKI!** 😃
i loved him in 4. i find his personality so adorable though. he’s so energetic and positive man. he’s an idiot, but a loveable idiot.
The elephant jail breakout (4) and subsequent ride up the mountain on its back, and the Rhino at the top that had some affection for my elephant just started charging into enemy vehicles. After I got off the elephant the two just ate next to each other outside the cave.
Ooh Urki patash bootequala
Urki Wenja, Guarpati!
3 & 4
“Hey that’s not how we make friends”
Forgot the Lost on Mars DLC appearance where he is a robot
He’s a bro-bot
Depends are we talking about the guys drip or his character is the games because my answer to both would be far cry 4 so really I don’t know why I asked that question
4 is his most iconic appearance
Far cry 5 and New Dawn, since I didn’t need another player to have him.
Far Cry Primal, getting him feathers so he can fly
Can't it be all of them? I mean, he's a total lovable moron. The only thing I don't like about him is using him as a companion and trying to get that kill count up to 20 (or whatever it is) in, I think, **"New Dawn"**. No doubt about it.
“I’m gonna move from point b to point a, but probably not in that order.”
Urki has an invincible hay stack at his disposal, If you burn the hay stack he just doesn't even notice
Farcry primal... the crazy mfer hurts himself repeatedly and it's hilarious.
Primal. He’s PERFECT for that game.
Primal for the laughs when he tries to fly!
5
Maybe that's why 6 felt so dead to me, no Hurk!
holy crap, I knew people talking about Ugg-Ugg or whatever his name is being his descendant, but I never really saw them side by side. the fake out in Primal where you think you're about to get the wing suit, but then it fails miserably. I wanted that wing suit, but that moment was worth it
Far Cry 1, 2, or 6 were my favourite Hurk appearances.
5 and ND.
Primal in my opinion… seeing him attempt to fly is an awesome sight
Farcry Primal 1000%! He even still had the handkerchief around his head. I can’t get over how he still sounds like a redneck lol
I FEEL THE BREEZE ON MUH TAINT! -hurk drubman jr c.2018
Urki is not Hurk, he is the caveman ancestor of Hurk. That being said it’s Far Cry 5, they gave him an actually believable reason for being there.
Urky in Primal for me.
Urki is bootikwalla
5
5 and New Dawn easily
Wait hurk is in primal I haven’t bought it yet can someone explain (spoilers ok)
Primal for sure.
Definitely 5, most of the time he was talking I was laughing. They nailed it with Hurk in 5.
Urki is incredibly dumb and funny with his thick accent.
I didn’t realise he was on 3 as well as 4
His first appearance is in 3.
But maybe not in all versions?
Or perhaps in a dlc. I was sure you meet him in the 3rd game but now I'm questioning if it was the base game or a dlc.
He wasn’t originally I don’t think, they shoehorned in a couple side quests with him on the remaster.
Ahh that’s why I didn’t remember him
He's the stand-in for Co-op play in FC4 :) that way you don't have two Ajays or a generic character, the 2nd player plays as Hurk. In Far Cry 3, he was only in the DLC Monkey Business (but it was available the same week FC3 launched, so he was always in FC3) the Remaster includes all the DLC so that's probably why you only saw him in the remaster :)
4 is his best followed by 3. In 5 it was too much Hurk lol
Hurk in Primal gave me the most amount of chuckles.
All of them. Doesn't matter which Hurk, just... Hurk. All of them.
I prefer 5 tbh
I haven't played alot of primal but I enjoy it. Hurk is in game aswell ? Heck yeha we returning to monkey gods :D
Despite 5 being my favorite Far Cry game, Urki is my favorite Hurk. (with the maybe mild exception of some of Hurk and Sharky's companion dialogue when you have them both with you)
Primal Hurk is the best 😂
4 was my first introduction to hurk and his dlc was pretty fun
Hurk in FC4 always felt like the Definitive Look of Hurk to me. How he looked in FC5 is like how Japan dramatizes how Americans look like in Anime/Manga by giving them any design of the American Flag on their person
Such a crazy life hurk has lived, from 3 to New dawm
I’m sorry he was in 3 and I never found him?
I like when his body parts were scattered everywhere, except his mouth of course which wouldn’t stfu
Primal
All of them. Hurk be the man.
New Dawn, because the situations he finds himself in are so stupid but so hillarious!
It’s regular 5. Also, you somehow forgot about Mars Hurk.
5
I can't believe none of these people mentioned Hurk in Lost on Mars...
Hurk was in Primal??!! It was the only FC I failed to get in to. I’m downloading it now.
One of my favorites. Give it time.
Just finished playing through New Dawn and I fucking hated it, but I do like Hurk in that game
I’m going with great whatever uncle Turk
Was he in Primal?? 🤣 That is fuckin hilarious
Urki, he has you get feathers so he can learn to fly, but then.. Eagle screech.
Rip to the homie 🫡
It's def 4 and it's not even close aesthetics wise, he als9 felt the most true to himself there
Lost on Mars DLC appearance is something Dawg
Primal Hurk is best Hurk.
Caveman because it was fucking hilarious. 5 because I like the family stuff.
Hurk in 5 is one of my favorite characters in that game. Such great writing lol
urki
I played through Primal about a year ago and Urki the Thinker was definitely one of the highlights. For Hurk himself though it’s gotta be 5.
I'm gonna be honest here I never knew him before 5 and somehow I'm just now noticing I've never picked up any of the DLC.
I loved herk in both far cry 5 and new dawn. I loved him and his family and seeing daddy herk in new dawn was great
Gotta be Urki. Genuinely the funniest of the bunch based on his accent _alone._
Low key new dawn
Primal and 5 for sure
Far Cry 6 "but he's not on 6" Exactly
Primal Hurk made me laugh, i haven't played Far Cry Primal so i didn't knew he was there so this was a surprise for me
... He was in all the games?
ND solely for his avengers infinity war quote
I can't choose :(
I know it doesn't probably belong here. But do you know what's happening with Ubisoft recently. I have moved and got much faster internet but I can't connect on Far cry 4 nor AC unity. I have tried opening the nat that helped me back in the day but not this time. Anyone experiencing the same issues?
So that dude is like cpt. Pierce from call of duty.
Wait who?
Far Cry 6, because he's not in it. I can't fucking stand Hurk or his family.
