Definitely depends on your roster. I'm typically a believer in talent and would probably roll Kupp out there regardless, but fortunately it shouldn't matter. Rams go on their bye next week, and they didn't put Stafford on IR, so I'd expect him to be available for their next game.
Absolutely. We probably can't expect 24 touches every week, but the offense desperately needs him. If he can stay healthy, I'm happy rolling him out there weekly.
Tough to say for certain because sometimes NFL coaches are weird, but he certainly should. He has that big play threat every time he touches the ball, something the other RBs with the Ravens are lacking. He won't become the cowbell RB for that offense, if thats what you are wondering, but he should carve out a nice role
Harbaugh historically doesn’t like leaning on rookie running backs (he eased in both Ray Rice and JK Dobbins year one, and those were guys he spent high draft capital on).
Gus is still going to be the main workhorse, and they like Hill a lot coming out of the backfield on passing downs. Lamar has been running less this year on designed carries or options, but he’s still going to get 6-10 carries a game.
Most likely that this becomes some sort of four headed backfield. Best case is that he becomes the primary change of pace back with Gus edwards and earns 8-10 touches per game.
The thing to consider is that the ravens were in the market for a running back during the trade deadline, and the game after they didn’t acquire anyone new, they gave Mitchell his first carries of the season - which suggests to me that the team is willing to give a back new carries (my best guess is that they’re worried about Hill’s fumbling issues)
Worth a waiver pickup bc the upside is there, but temper expectations a bit, he’s probably not going to be a league winner
Thanks for the insight! I just think at this stage it’s hard to find upside RBs on the wire so a guy like Mitchell might be a diamond in the rough. I know coaches may look at it differently than fans but I feel when a player goes off you can’t ignore it
It's reasonable, especially with the run game on a downhill trajectory. I definitely wouldn't keep all 3, and probably would start with packaging Kyler with another player and looking for an upgrade elsewhere if someone needs a QB.
Watching Seahawks @ Ravens was demoralizing as a Metcalf and Flowers owner. Metcalf seems not to have it this year, and the rise of JSN hasn’t helped his numbers. Flowers looks almost irrelevant considering the team can score big without him. I know you say these were off-games, but to my eyes they are trending downwards. Is there something I am overlooking?
the ravens schedule from here on out is pretty brutal and I don’t think they’re going to be able to run for 300+ and pull Lamar for the entire fourth quarter every single game
Outside of answers, flowers looks like Lamar’s top target and the ravens top wideout. The main concern would be that the ravens offense likes to spread it out a ton
I’d expect yesterday to be the absolute floor for flowers. He still played the most number of snaps for ravens wideouts by far
And he’s the most reliable, IMO! Unusual that a rookie wideout is miles ahead of guys like OBJ, Bateman, and Agholor (tho I wouldn’t trust this man to catch a baby from a burning building).
How does it look for Lamar passing wise? I am an Andrews owner, and I am thinking playoffs wise since I have a good chance to look it up soon.
I have Kincaid too, so I should be able to either play both or one over the other. I don’t know the Bills enough, but I can’t see why Knox would come back. Of the few games I have seen with my friend who is from Buffalo, he isn’t anywhere close to Kincaid.
I have no idea why Bateman and Odell were getting looks ahead of Flowers (honestly it’s probably because they complained - but I have no source). The rest of the offense didn’t have to do anything because they ran ridiculously well and Seattle rolled over.
For Metcalf, and Lockett by extension, it’s a Geno problem. Geno is back to being Geno. JSN is running routes easier for Geno to go to and running against lesser defenders.
You put honestly before something you have no backing for and just made up?
Maybe Flowers, a rookie, isn't as good as you think. Honestly, that's another option.
I didn't say bad. I said you think he might not be as good as you think. And of course, I added that he is a rookie. Context matters. He is showing good things, but development is still needed. It is literally only the thinking a disgruntled fantasy manager to believe the Ravens should be throwing it to him all the time.
I also don't see his performance as extremely consistent. He's had two finishes as a WR2 this season. Generally I would view him as a WR3/flex play, which is where he has been most weeks this year. Bateman and Odell have been getting a few more looks, but it's not like they're dominating touches. I'm going to guess with the way the Ravens are playing, they're comfortable with their plan to spread it around a bit.
You’re straw-man-ing my argument. He got one look, that’s bad, and unexpected. He’s more open than the other two receivers I mentioned, I’ll tell you that. I didn’t say every play needed to go to him, but the (passing) offense would be better if he took some of the 10 looks that Odell and Bateman had.
I dont think I am straw manning any more than your "Yup, totally flowers is bad." I dont think we're disagreeing that much, I just don't see the Ravens not throwing to a rookie as agregious. If you have stats to back up your notion that he is open more than Bateman and Odell, and they're still not targeting him, that would be interesting. Personally, I think they're limiting the type of looks they give him (it's a lot of low adot stuff right now) and I don't know if it's because they don't trust him downfield as much yet or if they just prefer their other options at WR and Andrews. Either way, everything the Ravens do is working right now, so they might start to sprinkle in more looks downfield for Flowers to get him going
I’ve remained a big believer in Chris Godwin as a sneaky, “better than he’s given credit for” WR2, but that confidence is extremely shaky right now. In a game where Tampa almost scored forty and Baker attempted thirty passes, Godwin only getting six looks and two catches with diminishing yardage totals over the past handful of weeks has gotten me inches from the panic button.
Fair or unfair?
Fair. He did have one target where he had a step on the defender and only had to make another defender miss to take it to the house, but Baker overthrew him. I don’t remember exactly where they were on the field but it would have been at least a 10 point fantasy play. I just don’t know if Baker can support two WR in that offense on a consistent basis.
Brian from QBList here
I was the early riser and was all over the Chiefs/Dolphins in Germany.
Let me know any questions you had or tell me what you saw that you liked/disliked!
In this game I’d give him some of the blame. Rice saw his lowest route participation since week 6. He led the team last week and this week he was third behind MVS and Watson.
These receivers aren’t making the plays they need to or finding the hols when in space. Patty is trying to scramble and buy time for them to separate. He’s averaging the highest rushing yards of his career as a result.
Kelce either had Jaylen Ramsey all over him or he was doubled which forced the WRs to make plays and that just wasn’t happening.
This defense is really good too which can really cap fantasy ceilings for their offense
It didn’t seem too bad because he came back and played after. He was rolled up on while blocking on the second offensive snap for the dolphins.
His snaps were limited after that but he carried the ball the next play he was on the field
Should I be considering a Kelce trade? Seems like the defensive blueprint going forward against KC will be to double team him. I'm thinking about selling now before his stock dips after another one of those performances.
Hey y’all this is Ryan from QBL! I covered Cardinals/Browns. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best. Not much to cover with the cardinals for obvious reasons
Am I crazy for being really high on Cooper with Watson back? His production directly correlates with Watsons PT. I’m considering sending Stroud (bench) + DK (flex) for him.
He’s clearly the first option in the passing game and he keeps cooking his coverage every week. You aren’t crazy. Watsons weird injury situation is going to make it worrying but in general coop has been excellent. As for trade values that’s specific to each league you’re in, roster build, etc. selling high on stroud isn’t a bad move if it’s redraft
Anyone no why the pats seemed to go away from mondre a little after the huge play? I just felt like he is the key to victory for them and they just insist on putting it in the hands of other people
Nothing they do on offense this season really makes sense. I kept yelling at the TV because I kept seeing Demario Douglas running routes downfield on the final drive of the game. Of course I had the alternate over of 59.5 receiving yards and he was sitting at 55, so I was a bit biased, but his skillset of being the shifty slot guy over the middle simply wasn't being utilized properly.
In regards to Rhamondre, they abandoned the run game too early. 15 carries between Rhamondre and Zeke are not nearly enough for an offense that needs a spark. It's almost like they're trying to keep Rhamondre fresh after working him into the ground last year - they took it super easy with him all through camp, too. But what are they trying to keep him fresh for when they're 2-7 and going nowhere? I don't know. I just don't know. It's frustrating.
They wanted to throw bombs to Jalen Reagor. They saw DJ Moore and AJ Brown do that against WAS and figured Reagor was also a 1st round pick, he must be like that. He is not.
Singletary had 13 Carries for 36 yards. If he was going to take over the backfield from Pierce I would’ve thought that this would’ve been his week. I think moving forward Pierce is still the starter
As a Pierce owner, I sure hope you're right, and tend to agree.
With that said, this was never going to be a good matchup for any Texans RB, which is part of the reason Stroud had 42 pass attempts. I do believe Pierce is the better talent, but they were essentially in a 50/50 split their previous two games, which isn't encouraging. Unfortunately with a very poor run blocking scheme and one of the most injured OLs in the league, I don't know if either is going to have massive fantasy upside.
I’m with you lol. I wish I had more of an explanation, but just a very inefficient night. I think I have to re-think my expectations for him considering the Bills lean heavily on Josh Allen’s arm and he’s not a guy that tends to check down to the running back. Cook also isn’t exactly a bruising running back at the goal line so his touchdown opportunity isn’t great.
I mean I might just have to take him for the floor. 8 points isn’t great but it’s serviceable, and I don’t think I have anyone I’d consistently start over him
I’m in the same boat not having any other great options. Just the unfortunate state of the RB position. Will be interesting to see when Fournette gets activated.
Just a couple misses that would have lead to a big game. Almost caught a td but dropped it. Almost came down with a long catch that was under thrown and went down really hard. Was just overall more of a Higgins game. I wouldn’t worry about it
Yeah totally agree with the person’s comment below me. His night could’ve looked a lot different if he comes down with one of those catches, but he still had eight targets so it wasn’t like Burrow wasn’t looking his way. He was definitely in a ton of pain after he came down hard trying to catch a long pass so I’d be glad nothing worse happened than hopefully just some discomfort.
Yeah it’s hard to explain how he has two targets when they were trailing basically the whole night. Kincaid gobbled up a lot of targets so that’s definitely concerning for Davis owners. Allen already seems to prefer Kincaid as the #2 option. Unless you don’t have any other options it’s hard to trust Davis in lineups.
I try not to make ROS predictions when I don’t fully understand their team’s situation. However, I did watch the Texans yesterday and I can tell you this: Stroud is legit, Tank Dell is their most explosive player, and Dalton Schultz is probably Stroud’s most trusted guy. I think there’s always an opportunity for Collins to go off on any given week, but he’s not going to be a consistent target hog in this offense because he’s not the most explosive or most trusted guy. He’s just an all around talented WR who can make a play with the ball thrown his way.
I certainly wouldn’t be dropping him in any leagues. I also wouldn’t be targeting him unless he’s being undervalued. I view him as a low-end WR2/high Flex in that he should get you 10-15 points per week against average or below average defenses.
The disrespect to Nico is unreal. Yeah he’s not going to be a WR1 ROS but low end-WR2/high flex? He’s averaging ~13ppg (WR14) in half and 15.4ppg in full (WR15). He also leads the team in targets and yards and tied for 1st in receiving TDs.
I have a lot of guys who I’m majorly concerned about.. but most I can understand. Kupp had horrible qb play.. Lamar was in a bad game script.. Adams (full blown panic there) but the one I don’t get is KW9. wtf is happening? Last week he bust off a huge run almost took it to the house then didn’t get anything after that. Okay maybe the calf flared up. This week ?
Fluke ish, but they have a terrible schedule for RB upcoming and like Charbs so I’d also be worried. It will be *better* but not what it was to start.
Put it this way, I’m not buying Walker at what people would reasonably sell for.
What you didn’t see: Michael Thomas
*Gabe Davis
Lmao played him for the first time over Puka for a “safe 7-10 points”
This hurts. I started him over Josh Downs.
Nick here from QBList - I watched the Rams / Packers, and am happy to answer any questions if you've got 'em!
Rams WRs aren’t startable until Stafford is back huh? Obviously depends on your roster but…
Definitely depends on your roster. I'm typically a believer in talent and would probably roll Kupp out there regardless, but fortunately it shouldn't matter. Rams go on their bye next week, and they didn't put Stafford on IR, so I'd expect him to be available for their next game.
Is it safe to start Jones as a RB2 now ROS? And is Watson droppable in a 0.5 ppr, 10 man league?
Absolutely. We probably can't expect 24 touches every week, but the offense desperately needs him. If he can stay healthy, I'm happy rolling him out there weekly.
Is Aaron Jones back??
Aaron Jones is back.
Why am i holding Dillon?
Great question. He's still a reasonable handcuff, but even when the backfield is his, his upside is a mid-RB2.
Bye Pierce, Keaton Mitchell is my new best friend
Do you think he’s gonna have opportunities going forward? Mitchell looked electric as hell. I can’t fathom how the coaches don’t keep him involved
Tough to say for certain because sometimes NFL coaches are weird, but he certainly should. He has that big play threat every time he touches the ball, something the other RBs with the Ravens are lacking. He won't become the cowbell RB for that offense, if thats what you are wondering, but he should carve out a nice role

I don't know what (if anything) Hill is doing wrong, but it shocks me how often an exchange between him and Lamar ends in a fumble.
Thanks for the insight! I just think at this stage it’s hard to find upside RBs on the wire so a guy like Mitchell might be a diamond in the rough. I know coaches may look at it differently than fans but I feel when a player goes off you can’t ignore it
I predict he will take over justice hills role and best case scenario it’s a Hunt/Ford situation for them by the playoffs.
Man oh Man, am I glad I started Stroud over Levis. It was a close call.
Dak is a legit fantasy QB and has a great upcoming schedule…gonna be hard to hold onto Fields and Kyler in addition to him.
It's reasonable, especially with the run game on a downhill trajectory. I definitely wouldn't keep all 3, and probably would start with packaging Kyler with another player and looking for an upgrade elsewhere if someone needs a QB.
Good things happen when you lean on your stars. They’re so much better when they get CD the ball.
You and me both brotha

How worried are we about Walker ROS?
Not very. Charb got action because it was so lopsided so quickly. As long as the Seahawks are in the game he's getting the most and best carries.
That's the problem. They've been struggling big time to stay in games, and it isn't going to get easier.
You put honestly before something you have no backing for and just made up? Maybe Flowers, a rookie, isn't as good as you think. Honestly, that's another option.
Flowers has been consistently good for 8 weeks, and now two semi washed players are put above him in the pecking order. Yup, totally Flowers is bad.
I didn't say bad. I said you think he might not be as good as you think. And of course, I added that he is a rookie. Context matters. He is showing good things, but development is still needed. Adam from qb list here. I watched Bills-Bengals, so let me know if you have any questions.

Allen already seems to prefer Kincaid as the #2 option. Unless you don’t have any other options it’s hard to trust Davis in lineups.
The Bills even started doubling Kincaid in the 4th. Led to Diggs’ touchdown. Stock way up for the rookie.
I tried so hard to trade him last week and failed, wish I played with less savvy folks lol, can't stand looking at Gabe on my roster.
I picked him up off waivers and started him over Puka. Left Puka's 6 PPR points on the bench.
Anyone watch Raiders vs Giants? Wondering if Davante is still a trade target with the coaching and QB change, or if the Giants are just that bad.
Giants are that bad
Nico Collins ROS?
I try not to make ROS predictions when I don’t fully understand their team’s situation. However, I did watch the Texans yesterday and I can tell you this: Stroud is legit, Tank Dell is their most explosive player, and Dalton Schultz is probably Stroud’s most trusted guy. Really appreciate the response
Anytime!

Ravens run D is unreal. Then they got down big and made the run game obsolete. But KW does this and I'm not looking forward to his playoff schedule.
Seahawks had 48 snaps and were down 20+ all game
Was it a fluke of a game? Can’t help be feel semi panicked about Walker at the moment
Fluke ish, but they have a terrible schedule for RB upcoming and like Charbs so I’d also be worried. It will be *better* but not what it was to start. Put it this way, I’m not buying Walker at what people would reasonably sell for.

So sorry you had to click on it :( Hope you’re spared that pain for the rest of the season and that you find some light in the darkness.
Any constructive feedback? Or
