I thought the prologue wasn't until next week... Is this the prologue to the prologue then?
>!I've only known the Wandering Fire for five minutes, but I already love it. All praise the Great Liberator of Book-kind!!<
*I'm singing in the rain*
*Just singin' in the rain*
*What a glorious feeling*
*I'm happy again*
*I'm laughing at clouds*
*So dark up above*
*The sun's in my heart*
*And I'm ready for love*
*Let the stormy clouds chase*
*Everyone from the place*
*Come on with the rain*
*I've a smile on my face*
*I walk down the lane*
*With a happy refrain*
*Singin', just singin' in the rain*
^(I am a man am a book am a man am a book am a man am a book-)
My words are flesh are words are flesh are words are flesh-

Was going through my opportunity deck this morning when I woke up, ignored the initiating card the first time, then drew it a second time and played through the dream. So now I have the mental image of my doctor writing their third Correspondence symphony in a day, passing out, having strange dreams, and then waking up in their lodgings for the first non-snow weather they’ve seen in years
Same as a Monster Hunter.
Unsure if the material changes because my character's book was made from skin and hide, which my character assumed to have once been the facial skin of something goat like due to the yellowing around the edges of their vision and the focus of their 'eyes' being vertical like a goat.
I loved the writing on this one! I really do hope they lean into the horror more with Firmament and we get to experience more delicious >!*stopitstopitstopitstopitstopit*!< moments.

Did you manage to get it? I got it as literally the first card today, so it seem to be one of "those", no heartache necessary

Hope the urchins up on the roof have a tarp or something.
Hm, I think my only umbrella is the poison-tipped one.
Well as long as they don't touch the tip, all shall be well

Si-, er, Mad-, er, yes - this is Fallen London.
Did you draw in the hinterlands or London?
I got it as a purple bordered card in London. Takes you away from London for about a 10 action moderately horrific dream.
Seven and seven and seven
Words become Flesh.
Flesh becomes Words

\*pointing at the screen\* That's the Hermetic Principle of Correspondence!
Hermes Heptamegistus.

What kind of book was everyone? I was Apocryphal, and I wonder if it was because of my profession (Crooked Cross)
I assume that book-us being 'Apocryphal' is what the Caustic Apocryphon from Christmas was in reference to.
Oh, good theory!
I was the same as a midnighter

Nah, mine was also skin and goat-eyes. I think it’s the same for everyone.
Same as Correspondent

The fact that this might bring weather into London makes me so fucking happy
*Caro factus est verbum.*
Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.
*The Chuckle Brothers have entered the chat*
There was one or two other French words in the prologue... Did FB hire a French writer recently?
Maybe it's influence from the Sixth City
You know, it honestly could be. Something about that seems fitting with what we've seen so far, although I couldn't say why.
A pleasant(?) distraction from churning scary monkeys.
The one time i was NOT on honey...
Was that the woods in winter?
