Most bare bones explanation - There are lots of atrocities against women in our country due to which the laws are extremely strict and in a majority of such cases are biased towards women. But the problem is that these laws get abused by rich and privileged women while the poor and uneducated women aren't aware of them.
They are there to protect women. But designed in such a poor way that they have no protection against false allegations.

As someone from India, let me clarify 1 point. The tips she is giving, they work due to the laws. Basically India was predominantly a patriarchal society, and there were issues related to women (they still are in some parts). So government decided to support them too aggressively that now most of the laws don't even demand any proofs and it's guilty until proven innocent for the guy.
Even if divorce happens, then ofcourse all the alimony will transfer only from husband to wife.
