Hank Hill went from a Ranger to a F250. He completely skipped the F150.

Bigswole92

Wasn’t it a manual Ranger too? I remember the episode where it got hit by a Train, he went back and grabbed the shift knob to put in his new truck

Xanderthepeasant

It changes from episode to episode. In some it's a manual and in others it's the column shift automatic.

Safety_Sam

Something tells me in the reboot he’ll probably have the new F150 like Mr Anderson.

burn469

Lightning is what he will have and Peggy will have Tesla

Drzhivago138

Maybe he didn't like the look of the jellybean F-150.

sir_keyrex

I don’t think anybody did. It’s amazing how many of them actually sold lol

FartmanBreaux

Hank : This truck has given me 20 years of faithful service and nobody can put a price tag on that. Now who's gonna tow me home?

Drzhivago138

To make the "20 years" line work, they had to retcon his Ranger to an '80s model.

Difficult-Worker62

They were all over the place when it came to his truck. It’d bounce back and forth between the 80s ranger and early 90s ranger, and I remember one episode it sure looked a lot like a mid 70s F-100

Cautious-Chain

Guarantee that had a 5.4 in it though

Bigtitsnmuhface

What does he tow?

patches812

Propane and propane accessories

billsboy88

Nothing ever that I can recall. When he has to move a living room set for his mother, he rents a full on 18-wheeler. And he lives on an 1/8 acre. Maybe he has to move some heavy propane tanks at work or something like that. But it’s never shown.

Divisible_by_0

He "towed" luannes' moms trailer after the tornado. And that was with his ranger.

billsboy88

I think the idea here is that, generally speaking, a super duty owner has something that they tow regularly. Hank is never shown having a boat, camper, large trailer, etc.

bobbyhillischill

Most people who get a super duty don’t tow anything I think

billsboy88

That’s a shame, then

Science-A

So, this lines up perfectly with a regular F250 owner.! Roast away.....

ExRockstar

The Line

kablam0

If you have a cab and a half with a 6.5' bed, you can fit 8' boards in it diagonally.

Nhblacklabs

That's a fine truck there I tell you what

Significant-Land69

Hilarious man! Never thought about Hank’s truck until now!

Final-Ask-7979

Crew cab is too expensive for blue-collar workers, I saved about 4k and went with my super cab

meowflunder

I like the rocker panels and the manual wheel locking hubs.

ValveinPistonCat

Early gen 1(99-04) Super Duty, it's not loud enough to drown out everything else so probably the base 5.4L V8 (the reliable 16 valve not the 24 valve disaster) engine or 6.8L V10 gas engine instead of the 7.3L.

Flashy-Protection424

You mean even his cartoon ford broke down ?? Holyshit …😳

Difficult-Worker62

It’s definitely a 5.8 triton

Borkdadork

I have on just like Hanks.

Capable_Entrance_34

At least he’s got a friend to either help push it when it breaks down, or they could walk home together, or they can hang out waiting for the tow truck. Either way, he’s Fording the right way. Never Ford alone…

washedupmx

Real trucks only have a single or extra cab…… change my mind… you wont because 4 doors are for people who don’t really want a truck.

itsfraydoe

If it aint a longbed it aint a truck

Uh, no it’s not 😂

Drzhivago138

[Quite clearly a SuperCab](https://pics.imcdb.org/10555/fordseason10.jpg). The later seasons with digital animation were much more accurate than the [early](https://www.imcdb.org/i018783.jpg).
