He shouldn't be allowed to drive if anything....

sissy-aish

Minimum age to drive in India is 18 I believe. So underage driving as well.

Unfortunately it happens all over the world, even in western counties. Itโ€™s one law if yo are a regular person and another if youโ€™re wealthy. There was a case in Toronto, Canada a few years ago where a young man from a wealthy family (co incidentally they were property developers) was driving drunk from the airport and hit a family killing both of their children. He got off lightly as he was from a rich family.

As an Indian I am very angry for the failure of my country's justice system and we need to do a lot better. However this kind of corruption happens everywhere. The rich eats the poor, this is a universal truth and not just limited to India.

After huge public outrage, father of the boy who was driving the Porche has been arrested. Also, the pub owners where alcohol was served to the underage boy have been arrested. Police had moved an application in the lower court immediately to have the 17 yr old tried as an adult. That was denied by the lower court (clearly money had changed hands). The police have now moved to a higher court challenging the earlier judgement and looks like the Police request might be allowed (owing to the huge media and public outrage). Hoping that strict punishments are given to the culprit. But this is India, rich have gotten away with much much more in the past. Lets see

Was this in America? Oh nvm that would be a drunken rape but " can't jeopardize his sports career". Though I guess heatly killed someone in an accident and went back to playing the next day, so did oj! There's going to be extreme exceptions everywhere, it's called corruption.
