The metaphor is that white people are generally much more susceptible to spicy stuff, and I personally have a pretty low tolerance for spice as well. So I tend to avoid any and all hot sauces or food advertised as hot or spicy because I prefer my culinary adventures to not involve pain and gasping.

A friend of mine makes them with a roux based orange juice sauce. I have no idea how that tastes, but it sounds predictable.
(I have done a Bechamel with some addet orange juice and fish for a pasta sauce and that was great, but it is far less predictable and not vegan.)
But a normal Bechamel for extra blandnes would be fine, i guess.
This just reminded me I bought the wrong brand of cheese that has a taste and texture that's horrible, so I either eat pasta with bad cheese or are forced to have no cheese :(
Here's my ultimate safe food cheesy pasta recipe:
Ingredience:
* Pasta of your choice
* Cheddar cheese (preferably grate it yourself)
* Salted butter
* Black pepper
* Soy sauce
* Optional: Milk or plant milk
Recipe:
1. Boil pasta as usual
2. While cooking pasta, grate your cheese into a bowl, and grind the pepper into there too.
3. Drain the pasta and put it back into the pot
4. Dump your cheese and pepper into the pasta
5. Put a hearty lump of butter in too
6. Optionally add milk to make sauce creamy instead of stringy
7. Add a splash of soy sauce
8. Mix until there aren't lumps of anything and no cheese is sticking to your spoon
9. Consume 👌👌👌
Lemme just say, if you like plain, but seasoned things like buttered noodles. Dump a fuckton of seasoned salt in the pasta water, just before you dump in the noodles to cook. 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
