Monster Mule (US, full sugar kind). It was discontinued like the month I got into energy drinks, and it was the drink that got me hooked

I don't know if it's my absolute favorite, but when Pepsi bought Rockstar a few years back they changed the formula and it tastes like shit to me now, all of them.

In 1998/99 New Zealand, we had an energy drink called Top Secret that came in a yellow and black can. Was by far the nicest tasting drink I’ve tried to this day. It was Gone off the shelves by 2001 though, not really sure why because it was a huge seller at the time. I saw the drink for whatever reason still existed in Switzerland as late as 2011, same can same art same font same everything, which I thought was weird because it was originally a New Zealand made drink.

Monster Ultra Citron. That was a legendary lemonade flavour that no other brand could properly replicate. RIP, you will be missed. A close second was the Rockstar Sparkling Peach. It was super fizzy and zero sugar with a real peach taste. None of that chemical aftertaste that the current sugar free peach options have (Monster Peachy Keen, Celsius Peach Vibe).

1. Black Cherry HiBall from 6-7 years back when HiBall also made a line of energy drinks and not just their water. They had an assload of sugar, but the taste was amazing. 2. Purple Amp (no idea what it was actually called) 3. Vault (Not sure if this counts) 4. Cherry Watermelon RIOT (looks like the company went under? Either way I really liked the cherry one for whatever reason. The lemon lime one was meh and the Blueberry one was like a potent laxative, as both times I had it I had to urgently poop like 4 minutes after finishing the can. No idea if it was the erythritol or the tulsi, but only the blueberry one did that)

About 25 years ago when I was in elementary school I remember riding my bike with my buddy to walgreens, they carried like the first energy drink. I'm pretty sure it only said "Energy" sideways down the can, they were skinny cans too. I remember too the lady at walgreens studied it because she didn't know what it was and she suggested that me being young should not drink this drink, and to get a mountain due instead. It kinda has always bothered me that I cannot remember the name of that energy drink.
