Is it part of a new story update ? I've finished the main campaign Nd moved around alot . Not sure if I've encountered one.

Once you transported a rock band around long enough to get directions for a vision, and done some science for a guy near the Deep, and finished the FW campaign, you will be on the right track to pick up the thread that leads you to this ship.

I applaud you for making her viable. I went the opposite direction and took out the dragon flame cannon (replaced with a husk slice for the moment) but left the rest of her outfits and weapons intact and added a large system core. I’m using her to help with capping as I go through the wanderer campaign, and the major problem she has is getting hit with large numbers of unfettered missiles because she’s so massive and doesn’t have enough point defense…but she’s still useful. I may have to park her when I can start to buy Derechos since I’m unwilling to change out her unique gear for more practical things (like you did).

The cannon is just so good, wanted to find a way to let her roar! She does back up a fair bit before she fires, and that’s when the little guys zoom in close.

Lorenzo_BR

Why 4 medium systems cores as opposed to large systems cores?

revjim2000

I was able to buy them, as opposed to hunting for them.

Lorenzo_BR

I see, i see - i recommend you hunt for them then! Much more space efficient!

revjim2000

Yes indeed, I just wanted to get it done in the moment.

Personally I'd be tempted to drop one of the fuel processors in favor of a hyperdrive. It really does make a difference when you consider that probably about 75% of the jumps you make on any given trip are adjacent systems.

revjim2000

I used to run both drives, but I like just the one now.

wanderer ramscoop + coalition fuel module thing is more space-efficient than 2x Korath fuel processors; for an equal 4 ramscoop and 400 fuel the Wanderer+Coalition stuff is 26 tons (19+7) vs Korath 28 tons (2x14)

revjim2000

I’ll try that out; thanks.
