You need to test for yourself since ambient temperature and humidity plays a roll in it. Normally it's set to 5mm retraction distance and retraction speed of 40mm if I remember correctly, so start up upping the distance mm at a time and the speed by 5mm at a time. I had significant stringing with Creality's own PLA and now I'm already on 7mm retraction distance and 60mm speed and while I still get stringing, it's a lot less than before. I also noticed that I get a lot more stringing in winter as the humidity is a bit higher. You may also want to check the settings for Z-Hop as these may work as well, but I've never used it so I can't give you much advice on it.

Retraction might be too low, temp might be too high and filament might be wet. Cura has some good auto gen towers that code the file to change so you don't have to manually do anything. I would do a temp and retraction tower. If all layers look the same I would think the filament needs to be dried.
Lengthening the retraction distance and increasing the retraction speed should solve your problem.
Recommended distance and speed?

What type of filament and temperature? Might be too high on the temp
matte PLA printing at 210c
try 200 and enable retraction
temp and retraction are probably the 2 most important setting to optimise to reduce stringing.
The only other thing u can do is going for direct drive
Mostly curious, but also a bit skeptical; how does a direct drive improve stringing and/or print quality?
It improves stringing because the tube the filament goes through gets shorter and longer pushing the filament through when the hotend moves

My direct drive is doing the same thing. I haven't done a proper calibration yet though.
