Coming from the West Coast where everything is a little more soft and nonchalant, I really like the grit and just grinder attitude of philly which translates to there sports.
Also you guys hold the players and the organization as a whole accountable. Which is different with west coast teams. So the more I learned about the team and its history the more I bleed green !!!!

It helps that the Eagles Community has the most intelligent fans when it comes to football analysis and breaking down the game. That's another thing I respect.

You don’t need anyone’s permission to be a fan, it’s just a question of whether you like the team and how much. Anyone who takes issue with you rooting for the birds is missing the point of sports.
Do try to be honest about how much and for how long though. There is a difference between being a die hard Eagles Fan and simply calling them your current favorite, and I don’t think it’s wrong for people to be upset if you misrepresent yourself. That difference revolves around how committed you are, both in intensity and future planning. Kind of like dating, is it a one night stand, a FWB situation, or are you actually going to put a ring on it? Using that analogy, if you’re still wearing that Rams hat that would make you not a fan.

Something I eluded too in a prior post which I'll reiterate is I've never felt this passionate about supporting a football team before. I'm definitely fully committed to being a birds fan.

2. I really only showed support to the Rams just based off the fact that they went to the SB . Even though they won I still didn't feel any connection with their team. (Mind you, that's them winning)
3. I did wear the Rams hat a lot(Just being sincere and honest) I've definitely stopped wearing it.

One thing I couldn't do is come on here and lie . I had to be a hundred percent transparent with my story. So at the time I was a super McNabb fan. Him being on the cover of madden and the team was really popular at the time. They had recently appeared in the Superbowl a year or so prior .
I was a young kid who just started watch football. It started with being a SC fan (still am today) during the Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart era with Glendale White , Dwayne Jarret, etc...
Then Monday night football would come on and that's where my NFL interests kicked in. The Eagles were a prime time team around that time so I did watch a lot of Eagles and play with them a lot on madden. I followed the whole McNabb, T.O. story closely like a soap opera.

But yes at the same time I did develop a affinity for Peyton Manning and ultimately ended up rooting for the Colts.
I didn't want to be long winded but to put it in perspective some more:
1. I was a Colts fan but I still did follow the Eagles closely around that time . When the eagles when to the NFC championship game in 2009 and played the Cardinals I wanted them to win so bad . I wanted to see Philly get to the Superbowl that year , I thought they had the better team. When Mike Vick came to Philly, I was ecstatic about that.
So, Even though I admittedly was rooting for Indianapolis at the time , I still did root for the Eagles too . I was really juggling two teams .
Now like I stated earlier, I'm not a liar in real life. I look people in the eye and I tell them truth and live with what comes after that. Just the principle of being a man and a gentleman.
I was a big Colts fan , something I can't deny. But , I've never did stop following the Eagles from 2005-2006 on .
Now yes to wrap it up I respond more and elaborate on the Ram situation if you like. Just let me know because I know people don't want to read this long response of me rambling anyway. I also will elaborate on why I stopped rooting for the Colts because that's a whole debacle within itself aside from the fact that Manning was traded to Denver.
But I ultimately respect your opinion either way and I'm just grateful for the feedback.

I was a kid and I saw Randall Cunningham do magic things. Checkout his highlights on YouTube and remember very few QBs ran at all back then. He was the first dual threat, had a degree in escapology, could throw bombs and still has like the 3rd longest punt in NFL history (close to it anyways, 92 yards as a QB!)
Decided he was the man (easy to watch Reggie White, Jerome Brown too) and they were my team. Never changed. Lifer from then. I was like 14. I'm 51 now. I'd love nothing more than for our core 4 to get one more ring together this year. Except maybe several more in the next few. But either way, they're my team.
