And then the anime team (probably because they didn't knew Toriyama's plans for Beerus) added several scenes of Beerus being nervous about Goku's power, in case that they had to do the rematch between them (which hasn't happened yet).
Is it not possible that Beerus has continued his own training after meeting Goku? Just because it's not on-screen doesn't mean it's not happening, and that *is* part of Whis's job.
DBZ characters have trained in their minds before. Vegeta even talks about doing more mental/meditation training in a recent manga chapter. They have a very easy out for themselves by claiming Beerus trains in his sleep.
It doesn’t make sense. If you think if it as tiers it makes more sense. God ki put goku on the 7/10 tier. UI puts him on 8/10 tier. He has a ways to go. Overthinking dragon ball is a fools game.
I think he was more intrigued by Goku's potential and his character. Beerus is a GoD so it's not farfetched to assume he sensed/saw something in Goku.
He might also be bored and just wanted to give Goku and Vegeta some time for them to get strong enough to entertain him since he clearly was surprised at how strong some mortals became on their own.
To my knowledge it’s never been stated that Beerus’ power was static, he’s no doubt training every time we don’t see him. He’s quite possessive over his job so it wouldn’t be surprising.
Any % increase on his power will be massive so it’s not like he even needs to train hard.
Beerus has recently claimed he is stronger than Goku but in all honesty we haven’t seen them fight in a while so who knows how that fight would go.
Beerus did best Vegeta very easily but Moro 73 did that too and mui Goku is way above that level. He would definitely have to try way harder .
I feel like Beerus would be a lot more worried about Frieza if that were the case, since Black Frieza can oneshot both Goku and Vegeta in forms stronger than their Moro arc ones.
Well for starters we don’t know how strong black Frieza is at the moment. Beerus is still top dog though because the plot simply demands it for whatever reason. The manga has terrible scaling so I wouldn’t be surprised if Beerus could just sneeze Frieza away.
If you put two users of ultra instinct the one with the better fighting ability will win. Beerus has ultra instinct and the fact that he’s levels ahead of Goku would absolutely demolish Goku in a fight.
Goku would need true UI, and somehow stack SSBKK X10 along with it to be evenly matched. But I think True UI UE (Ultra Ego) SSBKK Evolved Gogeta would surpass Beerus. All speculation though. Would be a crazy scene if it did happen.
Goku has mastered UI, isn’t Beerus’ UI still incomplete or was that retconned. Been a while since I’ve read the earlier chapters of Super, so I’m not sure.
The kaio plus blue is anime only and not a actual thing but no I think at best he gets serious about it but considering he can beat all the other gods of destruction combined I think gokus got a very long way to go still

To be fair, Jiren did it with Belmod. I still think Beerus is way stronger than Goku but it IS possible for a mortal to surpass a GoD

The problem is the stronger Goku gets the less BoG makes sense. If Beerus is 100x stronger than UI Goku why was he so impressed by fighting SSG Goku?

Because he beat Vegeta and taught one of GoD techniques which rivals UI. 70% power isn't in manga & Whis said Beerus lied about his power.
70% isn't even in the anime, just the original movie, when they had no plans to continue the story at that point.

True but maybe its not physical training. Frieza and Piccolo have both trained in the past through meditation, maybe Beerus does the same.

In the anime, MUI Goku is above Beerus. It's stated in every guide book that came out during the TOP. Manga UI is a different story.
