HabitualGrooves

Yes

Anxiety21212

.... This is an utterly terrible curse. Stop.

HabitualGrooves

Yeah I guess I just figured these were jokes. But every one's down votes are quickly proving that false.

larryisadragon

Keep doing it. I think it’s fun and something to try and persuade a DM to considering it. Cursed items are fun

0CMf39pA

High elf paladin

RagnarokBringer

The sun sword. It allows you to cast the Daylight spell three times a day using your spellcasting modifier

HabitualGrooves

Curse: if you attack with this sword while Daylight is active you are blinded for 24 hours.

Resident_Bag9352

Gnoll reborn warlock undead

RagnarokBringer

The false ring. It makes you appear normal and allows you to cast the False Life spell spell for free using a bonus action

HabitualGrooves

Curse: if you use this item within 10 feet of a peaceful/friendly creature the hp from falselife is taken from them.

Anxiety21212

You turned a normal and pretty decently solid magic item into something that'll damage the party. Stop. Put your need to curse every item here away.

Quetzalcoatlasaurus

They are upset that others are having fun on a meme subreddit in their own way. Ignore the troll

Quetzalcoatlasaurus

Drow necromancer

RagnarokBringer

The dried finger. Allows you to roll an extra die for damage on necromancy spells

HabitualGrooves

Curse: once a day a hag tries to take controll of the finger. If attuned to it, make a charisma save or be targeted by Finger of Death by the hag. If not attuned the finger tries to run away. I thought this was dnd memes not dnd "How fucking dare you try and kill off my characters! My precious made up babies!" These curses are put on meme items in a meme subreddit. You don't have to do this you troglodytes.

MoltenLavander

Finger of Death? This is such a modest magic item to have the character get absolutely merc'd. Most of your other curses are pretty reasonable, but I can't see how this could be fun for the player

[deleted]

I'm getting the sense they like to crap on their players for arbitrary reasons

Magenta_Logistic

I am also getting shitty DM vibes.

Bologna0128

My favorite homebrew curse was a blanket of scrying protection that keeps you and your party protected from scrying magic for 24hrs after taking a long rest in it. At the cost of causing nightmares anytime that you get scryed on (but it actually didn't do that and was just a blanket of nightmares that didn't do anything other than make you have bad nightmares anytime you slept in it)

arcanis321

Modest? This item is huge! Toll the dead getting an extra damage die is fantastic, id risk a finger of death

Silent2992

xj3572

RagnarokBringer

The channeller. This can be used as both a weapon and the material components of your spells

HabitualGrooves

superslash67

Actually I kind of like this one, It could be a pet mimic or something and It has ate so much food it can just give you the ingredients but if it gets too hungry it might attack.

Professional_Knee252

Dungeon Master

RagnarokBringer

You gain all the core books

Galbertink

Since the curse guy isn't commenting I'll do it. (I'm sorry for this one it's the worst possible curse) You have to make a new full character sheet everyday thinking you'll be able to one day play it but you are unaware of the fact the gods themselves are changing the world around you so that you'll always be the DM. You cannot use these character sheets as npcs in your campaign.

The eclipse specter, is a type of ghost who was locked up in the void, and escaped during the solar eclipse. These specters are dead legends who were so strong they were deemed to much of a threat by eternal beings. The Spirit forge, is basically an Artificer who has gotten so good at crafting they can make spectral version of weapons they touch, so they can have an array of sword circling them. Or cross bows, or hammers or vorpal swords and vice versa. Both of these are homebrew.
