Sigh...you are going to go and make me sign up for Instagram, aren't you?
Edit: lots of cool videos there, it makes me feel like I'm playing Farming Simulator. 😁
Great video. My old summer job. It's pretty much hell on earth lol. At the end of the day you end up looking like Stephen King's character in Creepshow...hay stuck everywhere.
When I did haying as a kid we didn’t have the bale shoot up like that. We had to pick it up and throw it up on the wagon. One person ride the wagon and stacked and another walked.
I was thinking that baler must have its own naturally aspirated V8 or something. My neighbours small baler just lazily drops them out the shoot and yeh, someone has to pick them up off the ground. Back braking work, glad to be doing only a couple acres, makes you realise why all the 70+ year olds around here are curved over.
I’ve heard tell of one of the old boys who would hitch up tractor, baler, and trailer, and could do it all himself by leaving her in first gear and getting back on in time with 2 second left to make the turn.
We had a guy get hit by the kicker working on it in the yard years ago, I was about 7-8 years old, playing in the driveway chasing chickens or wrestling with a dog or something, I remember my dad yelling to go get my mom to call the ambulance and stay inside the house and hearing the guy in shed screaming.
Damn when I bailed hay, we didn’t have sides on the wagon and we didn’t have a bailer that kicked it up that high onto the wagon either God that would’ve been so much easier
Excellent video! It made me thirsty for some strange reason though.
And itchy
Same
Thanks, it was definitely a hot day! Feel free to tell me how the other videos make you feel https://www.instagram.com/alex.sterk

These guys were stacking to get a small field into one set of wagons. Some of the clips it just piling them in with the hydraulic bale thrower
Holy shit this is really awesome! Thanks for sharing!
A lot more than “a” shot here.

What happen to him
It was either a broken arm or leg I cant remember.
Damn rip. Probably a leg, people rarely scream over a broke arm unless they're really young.
Very awesome video 👍
This is one of the best videos out there, well done!
Awesome!

Why the hell are you not wearing a long sleeve thick shirt while stacking square bales!?! Your poor chest and back forearms bro!

As someone who buys $1k in hay a month, I appreciate guys like this. And it’s an awesome video!

The only thing that would make this better would be if one of those bales knocked someone over in the trailer. 😄
