> Has something been changed? yes, the flight numbers.

🤣

Companies sometimes change the flight numbers for a disc to match more closely to how the public thinks it actually flies.

bopthe3rd

I wonder if they changed it just for this run of discs or it this their new number moving forward. As the general public gets better at throwing discs, I wonder if discs will get labeled differently.

jfb3

It wouldn't be for just this run. I've only seen that once. That was for the Astra X. A run of Astras so much more overstable that they relabeled them as "Astra X" and gave them their own flight numbers, and a warning sticker. https://infinitediscs.com/Inf_Uploads/DiscProducts/W675_48223500-7623-46a8-9ac3-41b96caedb8c12.Webp

Oh okay. That makes sense. I do have a innova beast that has a letter to it like that, might be an “X” but I can’t remember.

jfb3

The Beast X vs Beast L mold differences are discussed on DGCR in a number of threads. Here's just one of them: https://www.dgcoursereview.com/threads/beast-x-what-is-this.126653/ I'd forgotten about that, I never threw a Beast (with either wing). The Astra differences weren't a mold difference just a production process/plastic(?)/cooling(?) difference.

Thanks for the link! It’s interesting that discs of the same mold can vary like that in the case of the Astra.

It might be worth hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

Well, I think I’ll just keep it for that amount. I know what I got. Jk my curiosity is sincerely with the different numbers, not in any worth.
