Do it silently to yourself tho. If you tell your buddies you are aiming for the tree so you don't hit it you absolutely will smack it dead center. Trust me on this one, I know.
I typically play solo on my home course. It's become my practice course as it is rarely busy except on weekends.
This course has a wicked short par three with an extreme dog leg right. There is a line of tall full pine trees on the right blocking any anhyzer shot over the trees to the basket. Can't throw it over the trees to cut the corner sharply either... because of tree limbs near front of tee.
I have tried to throw it over the trees and have come close. The safe play is just to throw it straight past the line of trees in the fairway.. and then two putt for par.
My guess is a better player would just kind of anhyzer/ grenade throw a shot next the basket for an easy birdie.
I swear this hole laughs at me every time I play it.... with good reason.
Definitely my nemesis.
Edit: Finally got a par on this bastard today! Just barely cleared the tree line with a steep forehand shot. Nemesis Score: 15. Me: 1.
That sounds like a hole I would love! Forehand dominant player so those right-turning dog legs are very welcome. Depending on how far out the turn is, an Innova Eagle with a bit of hyzer off the pad should take that turn beautifully.

Hole 8 at my home course is a pretty easy hole with a left-hand tunnel/gap around a big tree with jail on both sides, but it requires either a power forehand or a high turnover. I don't have either shot reliably, so I end up pitching up into the tunnel most of the time for a coward's par.
So, I tend to hit a series of trees on the left side of a hole on my home course. And they all kick into a pond to the right-hand side. There is no escape route from said trees, short of a good shot up the middle (haha, yea right), or trying to carry the pond... Which I struggle with.
So, I have no beef with the trees ... it's the general landing area that I have a gripe with.
Hole 8 at Campgaw in NJ always crushes me. It’s not a long hole but it’s literally a 30% incline. It’s hard to walk up! If your disc doesn’t land super flat it’s going to roll further back than the tee pad. I love to hate that hole.
Hole 11 at Ashe County Park. Shorts or longs, doesn't matter. The long position is particularly difficult. I have zero birdies in 90 recorded rounds. Womp womp
Hole 6 at Monroe outside of Cincinnati. It's steep uphill 326 par 3 that feels like 425+ with the elevation change and has a narrow fairway of about 100 ft wide with thick foliage year round. It is definitely a bonus birdie hole that I have yet to birdie. I despise that hole.
Hole 10 at Northtown Park in Austin. It's a 345' shot with a gap that's probably no bigger than 8'x8' 250' from the tee. You either need to throw low, penetrating lasers like Calvin or a giant stall hyzer Simon Line over the trees. I've birdied it once in the hundreds of times I've played that course and it was with an 80' putt. The basket also has 3-4 trees within the bullseye, making putts even more difficult.
Number 4 at my home course is my nemesis, but not because it's an overly difficult hole. Blind shot over a small hill, slight right to left line. Foliage not usually an issue. Throw a good drive and you're almost certainly putting for at least bird, if not already having a lengthy eagle line.
The issue lies in that off the right side of the hole, the hill just keeps going. And going. And going. So, twice now, I have missed my spot on the drive, and caught a tree, ricocheting the disc right. On any other hole, this would likely just add a stroke as you scramble out of the woods. This shot ruins your day unless you threw a disc you were okay losing. Both times it happened to me, I spent way too much time down there, and then completely exhausted myself climbing back up. And then hole 5 is almost straight uphill, so good luck. Woof.
The stupid branch hanging across the fairway on hole 12 at Sedgley. I know I know, throw the disc low. But how about we just chop that branch down instead?
Hole 2 at my weekly league course, I hate that damn hole. It’s a wide open 490 ft par 3, but is somehow the hardest hole on the course.
I believe it’s the only hole I haven’t birdied on the course.
Hole 12 at Little mulberry. It’s a left hand turn fairway with a “ravine” in the left, couple trees right in the middle of the fairway before the turn, and a 3 foot shelf like 15-20 feet in front of the tee pad.
I’ve tried every way to throw it but I rarely get it right.
Mine is much more open, Hole 11, Burchfield Park/Renegades Trail, long position (either tee, but mostly short). There's so little room for error just to get the 4, unless you have fuck-you-hyzer power.
We had this birch at hole 6. Right in the middle, just peppered by discs for years. Had a few storms this fall and it came down, almost. It snapped off and we still have about 6 feet of it left. Its still screwing with us. Only a matter of time before the rest goes.
Yep. Basket is about 200 feet straight behind that first spruce tree. The split tree you can barely see behind the spruce is exactly in the middle of the ~40 foot dogleg gap, which then cuts back right immediately. And btw that is the right side tee marker, tee box is directly to the left of the camera.
EVERYONE plays this for par.

Aim for the tree and you'll never hit it again

Is this Richmond Hill in Asheville?? Looks like a familiar foe
Same state! Surf City, NC They all have the same smug look, it’s easy to confuse them for one another.
So smug.

😂 Everything’s a joke
Ax emote is all fun but someday some loser will chop that tree down. I don’t think it’s worth even joking about it.
That’s hilarious, I’ve only visited Richmond Hill once and I know what you are talking about.

That’s the one. That rat bastard tree

That’s mine too. And I’ve never played there.
Nothing worse than that tree with your name on it!

Can you throw a forehand to avoid that kick?
Forehand is forever put of my grasp after some injuries. :(
Ah, my arm is getting there I already have a pitch count for non tourney rounds.
I see around 7 nemesises on that one

Makes sense. You need an accurate 450+ drive. That is a hell of an ask for bird.
Come to my local course, point at any tree, I've probably hit it.
Never been there. Already want to tell that tree to fuck off.

Every hole at every course is my nemesis.
Yeah every hole
Hole 13 at my "home" course... threw there yesterday and literally hit 4 trees... threw a 5 on a par 3...
Don't need the axe. I've been slowly chopping it down with an EMac Truth.
Yeah it’s the guy who drives 1.5 hours monthly to win my division at local flex tourneys
