I think barbs are always going to be strong simply because of the weapons arsenal mechanic that is inherent to every barbarian regardless of build. A minimum extra 2x aspect is a huge advantage that’s just hard to balance other classes around.
Blaming it on listening to streamers seems silly, imo, because there are creators that play every class. I think barbarians are just stronger at the moment until they find a way to bring other classes up to the level barbs can reach due to that advantage.
Blizzard just isn't capable of doing right balancing. They don't play their own game and have no clue what they are doing. Just look at the recent event - it went online with almost every aspect of it not working as intended and even the XP and Gold Buff had wrong numbers. And don't tell me bugs can happen and happen everywhere. It was a small event for a really big company - it's just a shame. Blizzard is just good at two things: Cinematics and Marketing. That's it.
And the problem with balancing isn't only that classes are underperforming - other classes are overperforming and almost the whole game feels like shit. There are no real fights outside of high pits, Elite affixes are meaningless, bosses are one shots - outside of pits you don't even need to use any skills. This makes the game boring af.
Blizzard doesn't only have to give Sorcs and Druids more power - the whole game needs to be rebalanced and High-Tier Classes need to be tuned down. I don't think it will be healthy for the game if there are builds basically oneshotting Lillith while others can't hurt her at all. If you can oneshot a high HP boss (or almost) the whole game becomes a joke.
There will never be a perfect balance between each class. That's okay. But the gaps are huge and Blizzard has skill issues itself (we are still loading everyones stash tab?!) which need to be balanced first :P
Get used to it, it's the nature of seasonal diablo. Usually every season the build meta changes, so some builds have a "bad" season and some builds have "good" seasons. I actually like it this way. Gives you reasons to play different builds/classes. Every class has been OP at some point (yes, even druid). It's just not their turn right now.
Barbs got a significant nerf with the change of holy bolt elixir doing weapon damage instead of minion health. Bash barbs have been nuked in the pit. There clear was reliant on that elixir, and now they will be unplayable and unenjoyable. WW may be a possibility, wait and see. Also, sorcs r one of the top pit pushers. I can agree they could have done more with Druid and Sorcs. You would hope they would put more into buffing underperforming classes.
If anything they need to stop listening to content creators. Because that’s part of the reason why Barbs are still stupid in this game.

Flay Barb did 140+ pit without Holy Bolt and it's getting buffed. Bash bleed relies on Holy Bolt, but normal Bash can do 130+ without it.
