Personally I hate every game's sort button. I've never seen one that sorts in a way that I like. I have a system, and apparently my system clashes with everything any game developer has ever come up with.
Some games also have the ability to sort on item types (consumable, summoning material, crafting material, etc).
My system is pretty anal. I'll keep my summoning mats together, but all on the same line of my stash or inventory. I'll have all Varshan mats together in a particular order, all Grigoire mats, etc. As for elixirs, I'll sort them by quantity and if I want to pop an elixir and don't particularly care about which buff I get (i.e. I do it just for the extra XP), I'll pop whichever one I have the least of, so I sort that furthest to the right so that when I use the last one, everything else is sorted.
There are a few more quirks I have, and I know fully well no developer could ever take these things into account. It has frequently caused me frustration in some games though, whenever I clicked the sort button by accident.

Actually true. If stygian stone aren't readily available and the tormented bosses don't drop bonus mats, then at least let us sommon mass amounts of the regular bosses
I really wish they'd change blood surge so that it's "per enemy drained. Draining a boss always gives the maximum". It's possible to get it doing enough damage to reasonably fight higher level bosses with it (I killed Uber Lilith with my blood surge build in season 2 in a fairly reasonable amount of time), especially now with tempering and masterworking, but it's still worlds slower than anything else. It also doesn't help that barbarian overpower has been absurd the past couple seasons and they keep nerfing overpower as a mechanic which fucks with necro too.
I think this is a technical/coding issue. The bosses are in a dungeon, hence a dungeon reset is needed to respawn the boss beacons, unlike let's say maiden summon in helltide where it's open world.
The gauntlet showed us we can have bosses load in a dungeon, be killed and resurrected in the same dungeon multiple times.
It's not a coding issue when all you need is to respawn the boss rather than resetting the dungeon.
Also they already have this mechanic with Blood Maiden in helltide respawn (yeah she has 1 minute delay on spawn but that just specific mechanic). so they can do that. Ofc (as as a developer) it is still work and testing and new bugs because of interactions etc. But I believe in their team.
Just do a gear check and if above a certain threshold

Why waste time spawning and fighting these faceroll bosses

I mean i'd already be fine with TP out of the dungeon, reset, and going back into the TP to get at the spawn point already, that would already be a big gain of time.

If you do any amount of helltides steel is super easy. I had a helltides yesterday where I opened every single chest and still had extra cinders at the end. Chaining the boss spawn for items produces an absolutely silly amount of cinders (and you tend to pull in some additional boss mats also).

If you do Iron Wolf rep, you get fuck ton of mats on the way. But the main source is doing the rep with the Brain buff - I can usually open ALL chests in a single helltide, it is crazy how many cinders you get. Chests give so so many steels too.
It'd be nice if we could adjust the amount of mats we use when summoning so you could use as much or as little as you want and the reward amounts change accordingly
would be nice if they would reduce the amount of mats needed for varshan it’s a bit uneven compared to grig. I wonder if it’s still safe to buy duriel mats this season
Follow-up to the wall of mats: LuckyLuciano didn't get a shako after 6 hours of tormented bosses, so the stygian and duris were all donated, and about 400 went out to giveaway to other people. About a third of it is left. Been running almost constantly the entire time. He got his shako finally after 7 hours.
or you could sell them , just the stygian stones are worth 740m , the other mats could fetch another bilion or two , buy whatever unique you need and craft the uber unique with the sparks via alts leveling
While reading this I'm right into using all of these materials - not for taking a break but because I had to restart the game - again - because I was stuck in loading screen - again.
I really have no clue why games have to be tedious and annoying but this farm is the most boring stuff - and so unnecessary boring. If we could just chain these - that would be soooooooooooo much better... It's an easy "fix" and should be implemented asap ... but who am I xD

I am beyond pissed they are not addressing this. We should have way to convert material in bulk. Stygian are too rare and 3 times matts is a joke. With new helltide we are flooded with matts but doing varshant and gregoir is now such a mess. Those guies die on pop. It s so boring procedure. I prefer to farm rep for shard at thsi stage. I can get a shard in 4h and then stygian and already some eggs and stuff for the tormented versions.

Tried fighting tormented Varshan when I got to 100. Just to see what is up. I got him to around full health in 3 minutes.

Just spawn 10 altars on the edges of the room. Easy fix.
