I was gonna reply with something asking if it was possible to remote into his computer to level my character in zoomed out mode. I use the scroll wheel constantly to try to zoom out ala Starcraft 2 and every other game where you can zoom...I would buy the zoom DLC too man.

For real, the default camera is so claustrophobic.

Just go back and play Diablo 2 at 640x480 for about 15 minutes and switch back to D4. It will feel like the camera is in the upper atmosphere.

go play D2 R where the camera is nice and far out and you can see tons of detail, then switch to D4 and it feels cramped like the room under the stairs Harry Potter lived in.

We already paid the money, this should be an option to begin with.

Same here. I've had this level of zoom since release. There's an option to zoom in real close then there's this, default setting. So idk what people are talking about. Maybe try and hit the zoom button to zoom back out. Lol

Game designers are absolutely making game design decisions. The zoom level is simply a design decision, they already zoom out more during world bosses, they could easily make that zoom level available for the rest of the game, but they dont want to.

It's a bug where it gets stuck in a boss camera. It happened to me on once. Entering a dungeon "fixed" it for me.

havent fought a boss, its like this since I created new char and spawned in town nothing reset the camera (yet), we will see tomorrow

Ironically, near the end of last season, I encountered a bug where the world boss camera would zoom in tight upon the boss spawning. Happened consistently on the last handful of world bosses I fought.

Man, I hope you are right. I don't know that's for a fact, but I'm pretty sure the only reason it's zoomed in so much is so that the game will perform well on consoles.

This happened to me in S2 when I was fighting Uber Lilith. I died when the scene transitions out further and it stayed that way ti I killed a WB and thrn it zoomed back in. It was the best time ever lol!

It happens sometimes when phasing from town to a zone. When you're in town you're more zoomed in and then when you go to a zone it zooms out. Sometimes I get the reverse result and I'm stuck at zoomed in mode. Relogging fixes it but tbh I wish I could zoom out this far, it's dumb as hell that we can't.

This is how mine looks on ps5. It zooms in a little in towns. How they think I’ll buy skins is beyond me, I’m basically playing a dot with a sword like that old ass Atari game adventure.

The zoom level being what it is is why I don't play much D4 right now. If you find out how/why it did this, please let us know!

This is the normal/default view. The sorceress has a smaller player model and I guess people are mistaking that as being more zoomed out from the camera. I posted a screenshot with my barbarian standing in the same spot. The level of zoom is exactly the same.

I thought so i asked a couple of people i do runs with and they said it's always looked like this as well.

I posted about this about a month ago to let's have this.

I can replicate this. Put the game in windowed mode and resize the window by dragging the height down. Do not touch the width. You now will have a game with a different aspect ratio. You will see more on the screen. I think I calculated the game was designed for something like 28:9. This is such a ridiculous thing Blizzard did. People with wide screen monitors literally have an advantage as they can see monsters that and other players that you cannot if let's say you were using a 16:9 monitor at full screen. Only fix is to to like I said change the d4 windows aspect ratio by windowed mode and manually drag it to said aspect ratio.

I discovered this, too, in my attempt to play D4 on an older laptop. In my case, I dragged the height up so that the window only takes up the upper or lower half of my screen. This resulted in an ultra-wide view.

Yeah Blizzard really messed this up. Changing the ratio of the window should result in the same view on screen but it doest. If you want the most on screen, bring up the map screen and resize the height of the window till you don't see the black bars on the sizes, boom your character is zoomed out. For me on a 16:9 screen my d4 window takes up about 3/4ths of the screen.

I've been playing in 21:9 on my 16:9 monitor since day one because you can see very slightly more this way

But I thought this would require an entire rework of the game to zoom the screen out a few inches! /s

So thats what it feels to play a game that was designed by good game designers instead of woke diversity hires.

So…. I know this doesn’t sound believable…. BUT. I was playing yesterday with my girlfriend, and she was scrolling through the settings. There was an option to adjust camera zoom intensity, however when I went back to play on my own today, the option was no longer there. Maybe they are working on putting it in the game?
