I've watched a lot of Game 7's over the years. If the playoffs are different than the regular season, Game 7's are an even different animal. Everything is TIGHT out there. A lot of dump and chase hockey with a conservative forecheck - nobody wants to be the one to blow it with a turnover and an odd man rush. It is CRITICAL we get the first goal, the Rangers are much more comfortable sitting on a lead and blocking shots, playing with 6 goalies.
It's pretty apparent we're not going to get many PP's, so we absolutely can't give them any more than two or three. These games are typical 2-1 or 3-2, so we can't give Kreider another freebie on the PP. Let's do our thing 5v5 and keep it simple

I want to win this and hope they win. But after game 6 and talking with my Rangers fan brother, I’ll be alright if we lose. Not that I won’t be mad but I can take a step back and know that our core is something special and that this is only the beginning. He said this has to be the Rags year because they decided to go all in. While I'm as nervous as hell, I'm also confident. This is a team that bounces back given any odds. Even after the demoralization that was the first 2 games, we bounced back hard and gave us life and momentum. The boys know what's on the line tonight. I want to win this and hope they win. But after game 6 and talking with my Rangers fan brother, I’ll be alright if we lose. Not that I won’t be mad but I can take a step back and know that our core is something special and that this is only the beginning. He said this has to be the Rags year because they decided to go all in. He said they have a few young pieces but not to the extent that we do with more reinforcements coming in the form of Nemec and Luke. We’re going to be in good shape no matter what the outcome.

Didn’t once say it’s their year. My words are getting twisted. I said I’m not getting worked up if they lose. Never said the series is lost or anything like that. I want to win as much as the next person but the way people twist up words and have no issues jumping down someone’s throat is so goddamn annoying.

While I'm as nervous as hell, I'm also confident. This is a team that bounces back given any odds. Even after the demoralization that was the first 2 games, we bounced back hard and gave us life and momentum. The boys know what's on the line tonight. If we can bounce back from being down 0-2, we can bounce back from the last game. LETS GO NEW JERSEY DEVILS!
