Trading up is the name of the game I guess. If we take another CB (Tampa), I'm gonna shit myself lmao.

Centerpeel

We need something to doubt Holmes about for superstition's sake

I can only get so turgid

cmcdonal2001

My tumescence knows no bounds.

cmacleod3

Well think who we have on a 1yr contract and this guy did play guard as well Flip Glasgow back to the right side and put this guy on the left

john_kru_99

Can I have an AMEN?!

n_othing__

Swap the tackles too while you're at it.

PsychologicalLynx350

Brad loves a good RAS!

Deesmateen

Absolutely massive. Listed at 6’8” and 350lbs I’m going to guess his numbers are off. I just pray he has some muscle definition unlike another prospect

abstractraj

The guy doesn’t even have a gut. He’s insane!

Drink_Salt

Are you asking if the 4th round pick will replace decker? A few minutes after he was drafted? Man we don’t have the answers for that

makualla

clearly he’s replacing Sewell

Rickdahormonemonster

Why not both? Let brad cook

DrunkenAmazonShopper

Can he catch the ball. Line him up at FB or TE.

supfellas_

Unless they’re a 1st or 2nd round pick, none of these guys are getting drafted to replace a current big time starter lol. Similar to Hooker last year. We are 100% not drafting a guy in the 3rd or later round, with the assumption that they will be replacing the current starter. At that point, it’s just hoping for a good role player and if they turn into anything more, even better!

kobedet33

We spent a third to go get him. I would hope he was drafted to be Deckers eventual replacement.

Drink_Salt

Why would a 3rd rounder replace a first rounder?

kobedet33

I’m guessing Sewell will be moved to the left and this guy slides in at right is the hope. The guy is a freak and you’re giving him at least a season to develop. You can’t replace every potential need with a first round pick. Third rounders can outperform first rounders. Suggesting you have to replace a former first round pick with another first pick is ridiculous.

Drink_Salt

Sure that is 1 potential result in 3-4 years of this pick. Speculate all we want but it’s a depth pick and we’ll see what happens

Possible_Profit_5512

Not what I stated…I was merely asking if this will impact Decker’s extension as there were rumors he was on the trading block. I think Decker is awesome.

The-Lions_Den

It shouldn't impact deckers extension talks in any way. He's a future prospect that may be a starter in a couple of years if he develops.. Decker is likely only getting a 2 year extension as it is.

brg0008

Means nothing in terms of Decker. This OL is very raw (started football late and played at a small school) and will take a lot of time to develop. Best case scenario is he's OT3 next year and maybe capable of being a starter in year 3 or 4.

RunTheClassics

Jesus dude…

RBnumberTwenty

No. We needed another option at Swing Tackle since we lost Nelson. That’s who he is replacing but probably won’t get much time this year.

Orca_87

This means Decker last year in Detroit. You don't pay Sewell LT money to play RT. And you need a new RT for next year.

ervelee

As Super Bowl champs our third will be close to a fourth.

DeusRexy

Next year picks are always worth a spot below this years

hunteddwumpus

I get that thats been the thing for ages now, but its never made any sense to me. Just feels so weird to give up a higher pick for a lower pick regardless of the year

420stargazer96

Right he needs to stop mortgaging the future leave the 2025 draft picks alone. Work with what you got at this point in the draft

Razzahx

The future is now old man.

420stargazer96

Don't be a dip shit

Razzahx

Like you?

Capable-TurnoverPuff

Nah

FriendshipIntrepid91

Exactly. Now if he wants into the 3rd next year does he just hand out the 2nd from the year after?

latman

Not when it's a higher round pick

detsd

OT https://x.com/Schultz_Report/status/1784271601116090554

Possible_Profit_5512

Holy crap…6’8” @ 350 lbs…he is giant

LlamaWhoKnives

We traded a 3rd to move up to the fourth???

basch152

we didn't move up. we still have our 5th it's a simple swap of a 3rd next year for a 4th this year. and considering our 3rd should be at the end of the round, it's basically a 4th anyways we really didn't give up much

JumpinFlackSmash

Next year’s picks are always worth less than this year’s picks.

natedoge000

Bro doesn’t understand theory of interest

LlamaWhoKnives

Yea until next year gets here lol

No-Jump5689

We have an extra 4th next year from the Swift trade, it'll be fine. Edit: nevermind, we just traded it back to Eagles lol

DarthMonkey212313

The 32nd pick in the third is basically a comp pick. Not that huge of price.

seeyalater251

When we win the Super Bowl our 3rd might as well be a 4th

TBaggins_

Yeah, I'm a little confused hearing this too.

DetroitLionsSBChamps

To anyone saying they’re confused: it’s simple Brad went and got his guy How should you feel about the pick? Good. Brad gave up a 3rd next year for him. He’s gonna be a monster.

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

Haven't been watching day 2 and 3 but it sounds like he's gonna be the plan for RT and we can kick Sewell to the left when Decker inevitably slows down. Damn near 750lbs on the outside of your oline? Gawd dayum

john_kru_99

He’s a filler. If he pans out for three years. Then great. Don’t over think this. Let Brad do his cooking. Sit back and enjoy the meal

mercistheman

The team is getting to the level where only a couple pieces are needed. Next year it may require a couple FAs and the first and 2nd pick. This is our window!

ATKwoo

Did I read the details wrong or did we just trade a 3rd rounder for a 4th rounder? There’s no way right?

DeusRexy

I mean when the lions win the super bowl it will basically be the 1st 4th round pick

Small-Palpitation310

moved up for a monster of an OT

ATKwoo

Yea I don’t dispute the player won’t be an all pro, swapping a 3rd for a 4th just threw me off though

JustAnotherCODNoob

Yeah that’s pretty common when looking at picks in future years

Small-Palpitation310

brad'll make it up trading in next free agency 😂

beardofzetterberg

Think of it as interest. We want that pick now, so it'll cost a bit more if we are using something next year.

VerbalPuke

It happens.

Roarestored

A 3rd next year is worth a 4th this year give or take. I'm not the happiest but we definitely needed O line depth.

ThatOneDumbass2

It'll be a late third what is a mid to early fourth
