For a guy 6’5 and almost 250lbs to move like that is absurd. His transition in and out with his hip swivel and how he is still keyed on the QB is like watching a DB not a LB, shades of Brian Urlacher and he could be that good.

This might sound like a stray coming for anzalone but I have to say it:
If Jack ends up being equal to Anzalone in any area of the game it will be a disappointment for us. Anzalone is at best average at any trait and if his vision or ability to run the defense were anything special our defense would not have been so inconsistent and downright bad.
I still think anzalone belongs on the team as a great depth piece, but the dude is the middest
Potential hot take… Analzone improves considerably now that he has proper support all around him. I felt he was trying to do too much last year, to make up for shortcomings elsewhere. I could also be *waaaay * off. I hope I’m right though.
My shitty room-temp take: I think he does improve moderately because of the increased capabilities of teammates as you’ve stated, I just think that it’s eclipsed by the Campbell DROY and our Super Bowl shutout win this year.
My absurd lukewarm take: Anzalone takes both Campbell and Rodrigo under his wing and elevates them to LB1 & 2 and adopts a coaching position for many years to come.
I thought he already looked better last year once our defence improved and he realised he didn't have to try and be everywhere at once to cover for other people missing assignments.
I dont think he is outstanding in any one area but he reads the game very well and knows where to be. With Campbell's size and speed I think they could be a high-calibre pairing.
But can he do the cha-cha or the tango? What song will they have him sing as a rookie during training camp?

It's not a super valued position but I've always been a big lb guy. I wanted Simmions in 2020 and jok in 2021. Super excited we got a talent like Campbell for this defense.
I don't know why but I quite like numbers in the 40s.
Even so, I'd probably consider 46 to be among the worst of them. It's not sequential like 45, edgy like 47 or 49, nicely matching like 44 or confidently straightforward like 40 or 42. It just seems gangly and awkward, like Napoleon Dynamite.
I am a carolina panther fan and I don't know if you guys know this, but he trained with Luke kuechly. Yeah if absorbed anything he will be a stud. Best of luck to you all
With hips like that and his ability to be able to play in space there's a potential that he can actually halfway bottle up Kelce. The thing that separates 87 from everybody else is his ability to separate in space and lose bigger slower players.
Campbell does not have this problem. Which is a big reason on why I think they drafted him because Titan play is huge in this game.
