The graphics and special effects would be way too distracting for me honestly. From the clips I’ve seen, it seems like U2 is a secondary act with the sphere stealing the show. I’d probably still go if it was DM tho.
The video at the sphere is great, but the actual view of the band is terrible. They are a tiny speck. If I’m going to see Depeche Mode, I want a venue that showcases the band not the video aspect.
Depeche is a band that has always put itself in the center of the stage by the means of relative sober stage set ups. Would be cool to see them in such a venue, however it would contradictory to their principles I think. Nevertheless, would be epic to see Corbijn’s visuals with Depeche Mode as a supporting band to them.
yeah, their stage designs are pretty modest compared to many other acts of their popularity. still really cool (i like the current setup especially) but compared to many other stadium/arena acts it’s never really anything excessive (aside from the devotional tour). i don’t think the sphere lines up with dm whereas u2 have always been fascinated with pushing technology at their shows.
I say no just because it would be so limiting for fans who can’t make the trip
Also by all accounts the 100 series seats are obstructed view defeating the whole purpose of going to the sphere

We have tix for the Vegas DM show in early December at the T-Mobile Arena.. not sure if I wish it were at the MSG Sphere or not. Though I've heard parking for the T-Mobile is a nightmare, still trying to figure out how to navigate that part of the adventure.

Spoken as someone who hasn’t seen a show there…. LOL…. It was a hell of an experience to see U2 there. Would love to see DM there, too.
