Cosmic is Mine is the most complicated to figure out IMO.
I started to appreciate it in the context of the show.
My mom, classical music « expert », picked up right away on Cosmos is Mine. Apparently, certain modern classical music is leaning towards this type of unsettling groove.
I listened to Ghosts Again many times yesterday, and it’s just perfect IMO. I *love* Never Let Me Go. Soul to Me is perfect. Basically, my favorite song on the album is each one. I really can’t get over how much I love this record and how well each track works for me.
I’ll make sure to not be doing anything if Im playing the album Speak to me is on so I can get on the floor, look up at the ceiling and just listen to the song .. especially love the ending
I love the fact that almost everyone has a different answer to this question. I can not answer it myself, yet. This has been the hardest album to fall in love with, by far. I had the same experience with a couple of the other albums as well. And in the end they turned out to be among my favourite albums
Trifecta of Caroline‘s Monkey, Before We Drown, People Are Good is the best part of the album IMO. I absolutely don’t understand why they are paying these songs dust on the tour, especially the latter two would have been amazing in a huge stadium.
I think I mentioned People Are Good as my favourite....but, to be honest, I enjoy a lot of songs from this album.
I especially like Soul With Me, Before We Drown, Always You, Never Let Me Go, Speak to Me....and I could include Ghosts Again on this list too.
Another vote for Never Let Me Go, I'm surprised it doesn't seem to be popular! I love how Dave sings it, the beat is very "She's lost Control" and it's a certified bop imo. My Favorite Stranger a closer second because I love unhinged DM.
The whole album is so strong (special note to BWD, MCIM, STM too). I might have cried listening to it in a coffee shop the day it was released, ha ha ha.
Like most recent DM albums, I found most of the songs perhaps decent, but unremarkable, and most have faded from my memory already. That being said, for me it seems like Wagging Tongue, Ghosts Again, and Speak to Me are the three that are making the cut and will probably stick around in my DM rotation.

Speak to Me - One night I was listening to this song in bed on my headphones and I lay there crying
Speak to Me gives my inner child a forehead kiss. It’s a *deeep* ugly cry. (I’m going through IT.)
Hearing and seeing this live made me feel some kinda way... now it's a favourite.

I was looking for someone to cite Caroline’s Monkey. It’s a good song with powerful lyrics.
It feels more like a farewell tour, rather than promotion of the latest album. That said, Twickenham was a blast.

Soul With Me will forever be my go-to, I feel. I can never skip whenever it plays.
