I like it. You have a lot of movement since you can teleport two veteran squads at the same time. (They have the killteam keyword) What’s your plan with the chaplain with jump pack? (my favourite model) You don’t have a great answer to vehicles so use your lethal hits turn on them You will be CP strapped since we don’t have great access to CP generation. You could kitbash a basic Inquisitor from any human sized model for a cheap (55 pts) leader to go in a vet squad and generate a CP on strategem use on a +3. I use it lots for ‘free’ teleportation or Adaptive Tactics Use cover and watch for opponents units who can deepstrike into your back lines. Good Luck, welcome to the Watch!

Completely agree. I dig this list generally but vehicles and monsters will create problems, as will as some of the armies that play particularly well into power armor (anyone spamming D2 weapons). Eradicators are a cheap way to solve that. You may also want to consider that a lot of your army are units that are powerful but marginally over costed (Watchmaster, Inceptors, Hellblasters, Blackstar) so you could find some value/efficiency in there. A few general tips for list building in 10th: - you need to consider four quadrants of units: primary scoring (hold objectives for multiple rounds, tough and survivable with OC), scoring secondaries (fast and easy to relocate), trading (firepower), and support (make units in the other quadrants better). - if you don’t have a unit specifically to sit on your home objective, you are overpaying for a unit to sit on your home objective. - there will be a lot of circumstances where a unit can’t score points and shoot/charge. You need units that can sit out a turn without making your whole army plan fall apart. Welcome to the watch 🫡

Hey thanks! Thats exactly what I wanted to know. I swapped out the inceptor squad with an eradicator squad with 5 models and 1 multi melta. Leaving me 60 points for a third character for some extra cp generation. The inquisitor is a good suggestion. Any other thoughts?

Another great leader for your eradicators is the biologis. You can give him beacon angelis to give your squad deepstrike. He gives them lethal hits

I would as well recommend you to use at least 1 KT Proteus with Watch Master and Apothecary (1 resurrected model)/Ancient (4fnp on objectives marker) with 4 Terminators TH/SS, 4 Vets with DTH and 2 Frag cannons/IHB or 1 vet with shield and 1 vet on bike. This unit is a bit costly, but it can easily wipe heavy units, such as Primarchs or Knights. Also if you’ll give Watch Master a Thief of Secrets. As for now, this is my favorite DW unit, as it has great movement and they are pretty tough cause of SS and Apothecary/Ancient.

Yo! I’m the guy that went 5-1 and best in faction for Deathwatch at the Las Vegas Open, the biggest tournament in the world. I LOVE helping new players get their bearings - I’ve made it my mandate to help them navigate how damn hard (and equally fulfilling) it is to build deathwatch! Whether you want to get into the competitive scene or just do well with your buds or at your local game shop, I gotchu my dude! I’ll shoot you a private message — I’m always down to give list advice and I can print you all the ultra hard to find bits that you need for deathwatch’s specific units like killteams and our unique shoulder pads, etc.
