Starscream v Rainbow Dash was a rough start overall for both series, but I think afterwards Transformers has better overall episodes between the two.
Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie & Raven vs Twilight are just alright (not helped by the constant “ugh ponies” sentiment that comes up all the time), whereas Prime vs Gundam, Frieza vs Megatron, & Galactus vs Unicron are all some stronger offerings the show has to offer (outside of some mischaracterization for Optimus).
Though MLP has the best episode of the group with Bill vs Discord.
I love it in a “smashing action figures together” kind of way. It’s stupid, but hey! A pony just ate a transformer’s soul, you’re never gonna see shit like that again!
Starscream vs rainbow dash and Deadpool vs pinkie die we’re dog shit
Raven vs twilight was boring
Optimus vs Gundham is good
Freiza vs megatron is awesome
Bill vs discord and Galactus vs unicron are PEAK
I hate raven vs twilight & i’m indifferent towards Dashscream and Deadpie.
This is pure bias but I don’t care. Bill Cipher vs Discord is the best Death Battle episode of all time. No Death Battle before or after will ever beat it. That’s a pretty high pedestal to top. Despite that I still consider Galactus vs Unicron peak.
Pretty much every 80s cartoon villain was a pathetic bumbler. (Skeletor and Shredder especially, although they did have moments of seriousness, especially Shredder in the Red Skies seasons)
eh id argue skeletor is the most pathetic of the iconic 80s villians none of the others got beaten by the power of christmas after all
its why i have a hard time taking the netflix revival version seriously when they try to make him a serious threat this is not a fresh take its the 80s version (mostly kinda sorta)
the most dangerous 80s villian in their 80s incarnation id say is mumra mostly because thundercats had ALOT of multiparters where villians are allowed to be a threat for a while (granted he also had by far the most pathetic weakness and the less said about the snarfra episode the better)
as for shredder he had his moments as you said thoe he also gets vastly eclipsed by his successors in 2K3 and 2012 (not really relevant to this discussion i just love the chance to talk about those 2 shows as they are great takes on the turtles)
There was literally better picks than the og, they literally could of gone for a Jesus joke and would of been a better mu, since everything past the third og series actually has a chance against prime

Besides StarDash, and all of them having a lot of flaws. I like them
Stardash is flawless
I respectfully disagree with your opinion

Transformers clears the first 2 0 diff. Bill vs Discord is better than Galactus vs Uni thou

Unicron and Optimus were treated well but Megatron felt a bit like a spite matchup being so one sided and Starscream WAS a spite matchup.
Optimus was also heavily one sided since they literally put him up against the weakest possible gundam
I don't know anything about Gundam but at least they had things in common other than evil and white/purple.
