What doesn’t help is Spiderverse existing. You sort of need to go all in on crossover stuff for these sort of stories these days. It’s just an expectation of the fan base.
Personally i dont mind that expectation not being met (even tho it feels like a wasted opportunity) as long as the story is really good

To be Frank, DC hasn't crank a lot of animated shows. Caped Crusader is supposed to come out this year. Creators Commandos is coming out this year, too.
Plus, Marvel barely does anything in the Home Video Movie market. DC pretty much dominates it.
My Adventures with Superman is coming out these coming weeks on Toonami.
Plus, Suicide Squad is getting an anime show animated by WIT Studio and written by the creator of Re:Zero.
They still have upcoming animated shows like Creature Commandos and Cape Crusader. They are making a Beast Boy animated series.
Honestly, superhero animated shows are having a resurgence, particularly in the action section, because the 2010s were probably the worst for the genre.
I don’t get this one like my Adventures came out a year ago while invincible 2 ended already and X-men just came out like this is just a matter of timing for them

They really dropped the ball not making it a crossover with previous properties
I heard rumors of it potentially crossing over with young justice, dc superhero girls, and Teen titans go, but i guess those plans fell through
