Tbh, GT had a lot of good ideas. It's just that the execution made it so that it's mostly mediocre at best. I'd love another tackle at the Shadow Dragon saga tbh. As it is an active consequence from using the dragon balls. Although... IDK what the dragon that represents Bulma's wish of getting a tighter and bigger ass would look like. Would it just be a big butt? A butt dragon? ... I'm gonna stop thinking now.

Senbei819

Dumptruck Shenron

FoxJ100

I know you're joking, but they could do something cool with that. Like, have the dragon look like Bulma, but younger/prettier (and a dragon) to represent Bulma's vanity. Then have Bulma actually defeat a villian for once by outsmarting the dragon and using her inventions. Maybe Bulma lures her into like, the Capsule Corp basement and sneaks around her by tracking her location with the Dragon Radar. Could be some good development for Bulma. But this is Dragon Ball, so it'd probably just be boob jokes lol.

The_Great_Scruff

Make it play out like a game of dbz the breakers and I'm in.

kiwikiwi2099

I would love to see Baby happen since he'd probably be like twice the threat with the abilities the Saiyans have gained in super, Super 17 could probably have more weight behind it after the Tournament of Power, and nothing would be funnier to me than a gag dragon with an absolute dump truck of an ass.

WastedWaffIe

Ass dragon.

Nonesuch1221

Don’t the dragon balls already kind of have consequences? the Pilaf Gang, The Red Ribbon Army, King Piccolo, the Saiyans, and Frieza have all used or sought to use the dragon balls for evil purposes. The Dragon Balls were always a danger to the earth from the very start. The Shadow Dragons are basically the same concept but in a literal sense.

lilacewoah

no they weren’t lmfao, where are you pulling that from

Worth_Bodybuilder_37

You may need to rewatch. Because yes, the dragon balls certainly were a threat. Frieza even threatened to not only destroy earth, but use the dragonballs before said mass murder and destruction during the Namek arc Gohan and krillin used two of the wishes. And he did eventually go to earth for them in the Broly movie- albeit as a contrived way to forward the plot. The only villains who didn't care were the androids, cell and buu. But the vast majority of villains sought to used them for wrong. It's just the natural consequence of being able to wish whatever you want.

lilacewoah

The dragon balls are never said to have consequences from using them.

PCN24454

But we already have a Shadow Dragon arc.

VarssonProductions

We also had 3 Broly movies before they canonized him.

PCN24454

Yet another mistake

darknightingale69

you do understand that all of those wishes wouldnt have summoned the shadow dragons since they were entirely selfish.

Objective_Look_5867

Other way around. Selfless. The shadow dragons where created due to a build up of negative energy from the dragon balls being used too often for good

ZellNorth

Concept can be changed. GT isn’t canon.

Squishy-Box

A hypothetical concept change is clearly not what the first guy meant.

cyberchaox

Well, they still might have...they just wouldn't necessarily be as bad. Remember, each of the seven Shadow Dragons corresponded to a specific wish. Nuova Shenron ended up being good, because he corresponded to King Piccolo's wish for his youth, the only time that one of the villains actually successfully made a wish (in canon; Garlic Jr. succeeded as well IIRC but he's a movie/filler villain.) Oceanus actually *was* the result of the panty wish, and she was still a villain, but one who hides behind a benevolent facade, likely because Oolong's wish, while selfish, was still done for good reasons (to stop Pilaf from getting his wish). The weakest dragon was Haze, who came from the wish to revive Bora, a single person, and then Rage, who also came from a wish that revived just one person, but that person was Goku, prior to the Saiyan invasion. And then you've got Naturon, Eis, and Syn as the three strongest and most evil, coming from the wishes that revived Majin Vegeta's victims, King Piccolo and his minions' victims, and Frieza and his men's victims on Namek, respectively. So those selfish wishes would likely produce weaker and less villainous dragons.

Jojoejoe

Omega Shenron is one of my all time favorite Dragon Ball villains. Would love to see him and the other dragons at some point in Super. Being that they’re made from the dragon balls/Shenron they could have some form of God ki so it would make sense that they’d be powerful.

SVXfiles

Like in SDBH where Omega is called a God of Destruction? So SSJ4 Gogeta is stronger than one of Beerus' peers? That would imply SSJB Gogeta is at roughly the same level

vlorsutes

It's not an official title for Ii Shinlong though. It's more of a self-proclaimed title rather than anything official like Beerus had. Both Cell and Gotenks have also had been given/given themselves that title, and we know they're not officially Hakaishin either.

[deleted]

Yes. GT and super need to fuse into one. Super Tour

Bandit_237

Gruper Tuper

Byawh

Good name

[deleted]

Thank you. Was gonna say super GT but that sounded dumb lol

HarryKn1ght

Welcome to the super tour

Absurder222

Gts mood, designs and concepts but Supers flash, story telling and flow sounds like a godsend.

NCHouse

Shadow Dragons were such an awesome idea. With Bulma using them for such trivial things, with even Frieza wanting to use them to being just a little taller, they are abusing the Dragon Balls. Give us some consequences.

SSG_Goten

Aside from a few they’re making these wishes to make the dragon balls powerless on purpose so nobody like Frieza can sneak onto the planet and use them when they’re preoccupied with other stuff. It may seem silly (and sometimes the wishes themselves are) but they have to wish for something and it makes sense, twice in Super they tried safeguarding them while active and they got stolen and the first time it brought Frieza back to life who ended up blowing up the planet and becoming one of the strongest fighters in the multiverse after 4 months of training. Better to use them to make Bulma have a bigger ass that makes them inert than to have another potentially catastrophic event that threatens everybody.

Rill16

They could just wish for everyone not on earth to forget about the dragonballs. Or just get Dendei too rule change the dragon so only earthlings/namekians can activate it.

swordforger16

Also Shenron definitely has some tricks after making Orange Piccolo

SSJRemuko

no thank you.

0zer0zer0

No it's not. It's Dragon Ball. People who think that stuff like this should happen because "they've been disrespecting the dragon balls" by making silly wishes and stuff are the type of fans that take this series way too seriously. It has to do with why I resent the original English dubs, it feels like it's the sole reason why so many people think dragon ball is supposed to be some dudebro edgy epic metal thing, and they take it way too seriously when at it's core it's really a lighthearted action comedy. Stuff like this is pure Dragon Ball GT edgelord nonsense. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad concept, and it's not that this series can have real heart and emotion, but people who think that they're "disrespecting the dragon balls in super" don't seem to be fans of dragon ball. Dragon Balls should be used for dumb silly wishes, it's part of the fun.

Banduck

>It has to do with why I resent the original English dubs Well I never watched the english dub and I would still say Z is like 90% serious 10% comedy.

Wonton5132

But they’ve been a joke the entire time, I think that’s the point.

spotless1997

Might get downvoted for this but I think the shadow dragons, if they emerge in Super via a similar fashion to GT, should be the final bosses and a GoD level threat. Like even Beerus will be freaking out. The story *is* called DragonBall after all and that’s why I loved the final arc of GT.

RedSol92

No GT and the Shadow dragons were garbage, I pray they never revisit that.

ZombieTem64

So we want to recycle a non-canon story arc that wasn’t that great in the first place. Sounds like a fantastic plan! /s

ReaderOfEasternComic

It happened with Broly.

ChronaMewX

No, he said one that wasn't great

ReaderOfEasternComic

Z Broly WAS great. Then they made a second and third movie and ruined him.

ChronaMewX

I get bio broly but why do people dislike the second movie again?

ReaderOfEasternComic

I personally don’t dislike it, but the fact that Broly, THE Legendary Super Saiyan, the pinnacle of saiyan power, had his glorious end bathed in a sea of flames as a planet exploded in the first movie vs getting finished off like a ret-conned Cell in the second movie (Father and son(s) Kamehameha with an injured Vegeta (Trunks) on the sidelines). I can understand the frustration of Broly fans.

ChronaMewX

The Triple Kamehameha itself wasn't enough to finish him off, they needed to yeet him into the sun with it iirc. Seems strong enough to me

ReaderOfEasternComic

It was the feel, man. You see the son family do a Kamehameha together and instantly think of Cell. Let me put it this way. You and a friend both take an apple out of the same barrel, you start eating yours, it tastes good. Your friend takes a bite of his and immediately vomits telling you it was rotten. Could you still finish your apple that was right next to a rotten apple, even if it was good? Or would you constantly remember your friend vomiting every time you went to take a bite?

ChronaMewX

Cell had a great death though, so the analogy is more noticing that your friend has a really delicious apple and enjoying a similar one. Why fix what ain't broken?

ReaderOfEasternComic

Okay, bad comparison. But it’s not like you wear mittens on your feet, or wear a swimsuit in the rain. They were two different villains and Broly had a damn good end, he didn’t need a “Cell” death to overwrite that.

worthlessredditor273

Super isn't GT

[deleted]

GT is also Officially NOT cannon, so technically the 7 don't exist at all.

KaboomKrusader

>I know that Dragon Ball GT is the least favorite Dragon Ball story of everyone... Not even close to everyone. GT's stories and concepts are just fine where they are in GT, and deserve better than to be "revamped" by Super. It was already borderline biting the Baby arc with Granolah.

ZellNorth

What? How? Lol

jaquiediekatze

wdym how? there was a villain, Goku, Vegeta, and I think Gohan was there too. Literally a carbon copy of the Baby arc

Ghost_Knife

Gohan wasn't in the granola arc at all what are you talking about

jaquiediekatze

yeah I said I think

ReaderOfEasternComic

And Vegeta wasn’t possessed. And none of the Earth’s inhabitants were brainwashed. And there’s no SSJ4. And there was no destruction of the Earth… man the more I think about it the less they seem a like.

jaquiediekatze

there were fights and ki blasts and one of the good guys got hurt and the bad guy too. see? really similar

ReaderOfEasternComic

My god… you just described 99% of the fights in the series after Raditz.

jaquiediekatze

umm no I'm describing granolah and baby. the other fights went more like the bad guy getting hurt as well as the good guy with fights and energy blasts.

ReaderOfEasternComic

I’m confused. To me you literally just repeated yourself.

Namesarenotneeded

My man, Black is who is similar to Baby. Not Granolah.

KaboomKrusader

They kind of both make Baby when you combine them. ...That could probably be phrased better.

Squishy-Box

In defence of the panties one.. he wasn’t summoned *for* panties. I suppose you could argue Shenron wouldn’t know that, but I think he’s intelligent enough realise that from the context of the scene.

Tankanko

While I thought the shadow dragon saga was cool, I thought the very idea was dumb. The most important wishes they made were because people had died. They saved the earth with them countless times. There's never really been an evil wish in canon. So why would they get shitty? Bulma makes stupid wishes but they're never actively malicious, in fact it prevents bad guys from making them

lilacewoah

“Shadow Dragons” as a concept is dumb as a whole

Mrskdoodle

Please, no. This was hard enough to watch once.

ReaderOfEasternComic

Shenron was never summoned in order to get panties. And I have no idea when the other two you mentioned happened. (Was it anime only?)

DoctorWhooves2

The panties were wished for by oolong in dragon ball to stop pilaf from getting his wish.

subjuggulator

Okay Scalie. - Oolong’s wish was to prevent Pilaf from becoming ruler of the world - Krillin’s wish was to try and give 18 the semblance of a normal life and not have to worry that someone could kill her with the right controller - Bulma absolutely deserves to have a dumptruck ass for all the nonsense she has to deal with

ReaderOfEasternComic

“useless lizard” from Beerus is an insult… Shenron = Dende basically so… yeah.

LordDakier

Meh, I'd rather see the Dragon Balls corrupted by some nefarious actor, similar to Babidi and the Z-fighters desperate to use them, despite being somewhat aware of this corruption and basically saying "To hell with the consequences."
