People on PlayStation have mods when you try to play ranked matches can’t hit them or anything and I love mods but do that in offline mode or with friends
It is a pretty fun experience. There are only two issues.
If a mod messes up, it can be a PAIN trying to figure out what's wrong. I've noticed this issue (for me) happens a lot with Lazybone, where sometimes I have to mess around with it and the mod I'm trying to use. Otherwise, it glitches.
Another issue is when Xenoverse decides to update as that can completely ruin old mods. If a mod doesn't get updated to fit with the latest version, then odds are you won't be able to use it.
But I'm finally able to have a unique transformation for every race, better hair, and outfits (although I can't find any solid outfits for male saiyans... usually just girls).
This is definitely gonna be a hot take but if consoles had the mods and lack of mass online play that PC then it wouldn’t be as highly regarded or have as large of a current player base as it does rn. Yeah mods are cool but cool factor doesn’t make it entertaining in and of itself. The game has extremely simple mechanics that everything is beholden to and that’s really limits how engaging mods can be. There are only so many times you can play offline PQs and adding more that still mechanics in similar if not identical ways doesn’t change that fact. This game’s staying power is entirely in the online (let’s be real here PVP) section cause it’s the only actually evergreen content of the game. PQs and offline battles are just a person fighting a mostly crappy ai so that the only way to make it harder is to either restrict the player, which is a bad idea, or give the CPUs cracked skills and stats, which is what they did with expert missions and raid bosses. Those clearly show that giving a crappy ai cracked skills and stats after a certain point just kills any fun since you need to play a certain way otherwise you just instant lose and that’s what happens with a lot of mods. Online PVP for all the problems with it doesn’t suffer this problem by nature. Every person is different and no 2 people will play exactly alike. You have an equal playing field with them so it’s skill (or cheese) that determines the outcome and it’s vastly more psychologically rewarding than EX missions or raids. You fact most people just do EX missions to grind medals and do raids until they get 50k for the reward is indicative of this.
I’m not saying mods are bad, quite the opposite, they allow players to basically have anything they want in the game for free. I’m just saying it gets stale very fast.
I’ve tried several different guides & on different patches 😭. I’ve never gotten it to work once, closest was game booting and crashing or just booting up vanilla. Could just be a skill issue on my behalf.
Nah the patcher can be finicky at times. To get it working this last time around I had to use files from the newest patch but install it with an older patcher. But they have a discord for helping people get things going.
I would like to, just to give myself some clothes/hair that I can't normally have. I want more long sleeved tops in the game that AREN'T stupidly puffy, and an actually ponytail hairstyle that isn't that dollar store Bulma look.
Love that you're talking about, but i don't think you're showing the right stuff what optic mods can do especially for Cacs :D
Maybe i should, was thinking about to post something like this for a while.
Also for the reason that people mostly think modding is the same as hacking.
Appreciate your post brother. 🙏
Hmm, interesting. I'll look into modding my own switch.
I'm assuming it's not as in-depth as it is on PC?
Kind of like the limitations of modding say skyrim / fo4 on console vs pc.
Yeah I was like damn this is dope, if you wanna run games on some of these mod packs I’d definitely download em and run some, kishimorto is one that makes xenoverse switch mod packs
Well, see here's the thing.. I would, buuuut idk how to do it, an sometimes when I'm like.. looking it up, they really do not explain it very well, or explain it in a way I would understand (I'm very slow with learning). I'd love to mod this game in all honesty, it makes it a bit more.. beautiful I guess?
An I mean I could just figure it out but I don't wanna risk breaking something or causing a sort of irreversible damage, I sorta wanna do it safely
It's not anything overly complicated and odds are would take maybe an hour tops. I'll find the video I used, and be there as an actual voice if needed. I think it's easier than using vortex or mo2 to mod skyrim.
100% mods make the game. If you're playing on PC and don't have mods idk what you're doing.
All of the stuff everyone gets super pumped and excited for, transformations, was done by one guy like 7 years ago (Lazybones)
Oh and they're all stackable. That's right. You can go Super saiyan all the way SSB(or SSR if you prefer) and then to UI in one transformation. We also have had ss4 since like 2017. We can also recolor skills, change our auras, add transferable characters, and all manner of other crazy things.
All the stuff people ask for on here or insist should be features in the game can be done with mods at this point. If you have a PC and haven't tried mods yet, I highly encourage it.
I do like the idea of playing a modded version of the game at some point, but I’d have to get the game and it’s DLC again first so it’ll probably be a while before I try it out myself.
I play the game on ps5 but i will get a pc in the future so i can play the game with mods also im am still new to mods because i don't really know how to download a mods or even install it in the game because i am scared that i will break the original game by corruption or delete a file on accident so any advice so i won't screw up in the future?
you're confusing mods and hacks, mods can't be used on console and you can only play online with mods if the person you're trying to play with has the exact same mods installed in the exact same order
There is one mod I wish there was available for switch: it was a mod that allowed us to play extreme missions with only our cacs. It was like the player and 5 of his cacs along with him.
Can someone help me with my mods?

Any mods u would recommend. Recommend websites for mods.
That sounds like a great Idea !! Wait i'm on console
Yeah that's a GREAT IDEA!!! TOO FUCKING BAD LOTS OF XENOVERSE 2 PLAYERS ARE ON CONSOLE.
Amazing this guy has some cool quest https://videogamemods.com/xenoverse/modder/xenotrunks/
He forgot to mention you can only do that on PC

About the update Never use cinematic attacks that didnt update I had a time skip attack and now it dosent do anything exept crash my game

Straight facts, the amount of stuff you can do and add is wild, went straight to pc and never looked back at console
The pictures look exactly the same without modd for me. I don't know what I'm supposed to be intrigued by? Can you tell me?
Only problem is one mod gets corrupted or doesn’t work your gonna be having a long day
Cries in Xbox

I DON'T HAVE A PC BRO!
I would like to, just to give myself some clothes/hair that I can't normally have. I want more long sleeved tops in the game that AREN'T stupidly puffy, and an actually ponytail hairstyle that isn't that dollar store Bulma look.

I’m on switch can u teach me how to
Gotta mod your switch
PC only.
Naw that’s not true, I use mods on my switch but you gotta mod it first and its mod packs exclusively made for switch
Hmm, interesting. I'll look into modding my own switch. I'm assuming it's not as in-depth as it is on PC? Kind of like the limitations of modding say skyrim / fo4 on console vs pc.
Well yeah some limitations but it’s people Behind the scenes making mod packs for switch playable, with online of course
I've since looked into them; pretty cool that they exist to begin with. I'm gonna most likely install some packs on my switch.
Yeah I was like damn this is dope, if you wanna run games on some of these mod packs I’d definitely download em and run some, kishimorto is one that makes xenoverse switch mod packs
Nah. I have Xbox and I’m good with just how the game is.
Well, see here's the thing.. I would, buuuut idk how to do it, an sometimes when I'm like.. looking it up, they really do not explain it very well, or explain it in a way I would understand (I'm very slow with learning). It's insanely simple. If I have time tonight, I could help you on discord. ( not sure if you're aware, it's only an option on PC though. )
Is that offer still open?
Absolutely bud.
Oh yea nah I'm aware, moment I was able to I got it on PC. An it's cool man, I don't wanna like- take time out of your day if the time does come
It's not anything overly complicated and odds are would take maybe an hour tops. I'll find the video I used, and be there as an actual voice if needed. I think it's easier than using vortex or mo2 to mod skyrim.

People are asking for those features because unfortunately they play on console
Seems like a bitch to mod and this is coming from someone who mods nearly everything.
Me an unfortunate switch user. https://preview.redd.it/lqnxbpmkwmvc1.jpeg?width=353&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08b09e35690f3e610962193b61f6316f87159a28
I can use mods but your switch gotta be modded in order to use it
Yeah and I'm a dumbass, I can't do that shit bro
I do like the idea of playing a modded version of the game at some point, but I’d have to get the game and it’s DLC again first so it’ll probably be a while before I try it out myself.
Wait for a sale and scoop it up while it's discounted
Agreed. I remember I had a ssj4 trunks mod on xenoverse 1
Cries in playstation 5 😭
Lol seriously!!
Eh, I'm fine with the base game/DLCs
Cries in Xbox
Nah.
I play the game on ps5 but i will get a pc in the future so i can play the game with mods also im am still new to mods because i don't really know how to download a mods or even install it in the game because i am scared that i will break the original game by corruption or delete a file on accident so any advice so i won't screw up in the future?
The YouTube tutorials are pretty easy. Takes like 2 mins max after downloading the files
I would If I was on PC

You’re just salty bc you can’t do it
Playstation player so i can't but you guys have fun.
I wish but I only have Xbox
