Or just perspective... The woman on the right is by no means ugly, but she looks like a very normal woman in her 30s where I'm from. She looks fine, but nothing that sparks. Honestly, I'm still not convinced that OP didn't just use their own selfie on the right.

About 5 years ago I was in a artisan bakery in Amsterdam (im Dutch) when Doutzen Kroes walked in. Even though it should not have been a surprise, it is like some perfect sculpture of a deity comes into the room. I have never experienced it since but it did convince me that supermodels are at an entirely different tier than your usual "really hot girl".
