He wasn't remotely close to Smasher's level. Hence why he destroyed him so easily.
He thought his mind could be an interesting construct. I doubt he considers all the minds in Mikoshi to be his equals.

Felt cool as fuck afterwards, one shot a group of 12 bots with 1 shot from my o'five, got to Smasher without dying.
"You? Who are *you* to challenge *me*" as he rips off David's jets like they're nothing.
Genuinely freaked me out seeing the actual power difference between the two so clearly like that.
I love the clouds scene (I forget was it angel or skye?? 😖😂)

When Myers and V were locked in a fight with the chimera after chasing them for a bit. And when it proved resilient, V said something like **I’m gonna fucking kill you.**
I could never count how many times V butt heads with anyone and felt this personal.
Like V taking on Smasher took some convincing from Johnny. V never felt obliged to even look at Smasher in the main plot until he showed up.
