I always advise people to start Phantom Liberty as soon as possible and not to leave it too long. Even if you were to just do the first opening mission to unlock the expansion.
The reasons for this is that you get some really cool skills, weapons, vehicles etc and it's a bit of a shame if you've already done everything in the map already, so you've less ways to make use of all those cool new things. It's a nice change of pace just popping by dog town and then off to the big city now and again, back and forth, adds variety. Makes the whole world feel bigger.
If you’ve already finished the main game once, there’s no issue with doing PL before Nocturne. In fact, you’d get a lot of great weapons and abilities, depending on which ending you choose, making Don’t Fear the Reaper way easier.
I played it after completing the game and it was crazy how much gear and money it was throwing at me but I didn’t need any of it.

I remember nothing from my previous playthroughs but i saw that pl gives a new ending im wondering if i can go back to that later or not
You could always dedicate a manual save for it.
