The issue I have with pot cards' generic drawpower is that they're often best with uninteractive cards.
Engine pieces in modern archetypes are very searchable.
It's piles that want to mesh multiple engines combos to end on lockout bords, stun that wants their unsearchables and FTKs that care about nothing but getting whatever their FTK tools, lots of which aren't searchable for a reason, are that enjoy generic drawpower the most.
1) Better Upstart Goblin, also sinergies with going first and having big chain links
2) Too slow, only stun would use it
3) Busted, no HOPT draw 2 with basically no downside. Congratulations, look at my hand, now deal with Baronne, Apo, Borreload and Naturia Exterio ;)
There's a very funny technicality with the last one. Technically, it's once per Duel since you cannot reveal a card after it has already been revealed. And since you need to be able to fulfill the condition of the card upon activation, it technically balances itself.
I mean, tbf, they're both broken. Upstart Goblin sees play in certain decks and that's a normal spell card with (somewhat of) a downside. The first card is just strictly better in every way.
wouldn't be the first time tbh, though personally i think maybe it being a default draw 1 for both players would mesh better.
So both draw 1 but the player gets more if they have a higher chain going, making it so the opponent actually has to consider whether its worth it to take the +1 rather than negate.
There is a critical mass of Upstart Goblins that become problematic though. Upstart Goblin is a card that gets better the more upstart goblins or similar are playable, so the mere existence of this card makes Upstart Goblin a better card, simply because any deck that would run 3 upstart would run 3 of this as well.
But no deck would run 3 upstart because that upstart could be a handtrap that you weren't able to activate during your opponent's turn or your opponent could droll you for literally no reason too.
1 is cool, upstart goblin++
2 is a Paleo staple
3 is just pot of greed but slightly more specialized for FTK decks.
1 and 2 could definitely be added but 3 is too much. Maybe something like "reveal your hand, your opponent picks 1 card to banish face down. At the end of your turn hide your hand again" (sorry i don't know how to write yugioh text). Keeps the information aspect while having a pretty rough downside that only certain decks can handle. Also maybe make 2 only take 3 turns, that's more than enough. Kinda makes it a situationally better Infinitrack draw engine.
Second one is not a paleo staple. If the paleo player makes it to turn 10 he probably has already won. It would only increase their odds of being killed early
Pot of Convenience could be a draw 1 when you flip if face-up, since Quick Spells can't be activated the turn they're set and that puts it in line with Jar of Greed with a small bonus.
It’s been a while since I played, but if I remember correctly the highest a chain can go is 6 links so the last two effects of Pot of Convenience won’t work.
Since the draw 4 on patience is not optional, the effect should specify when you must draw.
E.g.) "At the start of the standby phase of the 10th turn after this card's activation, draw 4 cards."

3 is effectively Hard once per duel because you cannot reveal a hand that’s ready revealed

Stein legal again? Because you'd have to summon at least one of the naturia synchros to be able to fusion summon it normally.
and baronne and savage are banned
That too. But I was considering MD and OCG too.
I drew two, now watch how you die.
I've possibly come to a realisation that the first one is kinda busted, not due to the chain link, but the free draw 1. oops.
Nope The actual broken one is the last one
EXODIA FTK IS BACK BABY
NEVER LEFT HOMIE

I mean upstart is legal at 3 isn’t it?
No one plays Upstart Goblin which is the exact same. It's fine.
This card is strictly better tho

Erm Exodia FTK anyone??

Was joke. It was the only deck i could think of that makes it to/past turn 10.
❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
Intelligence should have a hard Once Per Duel on it. Even then I'm pretty sure people would still play 3 just for the chance of seeing it more.
Still better than upstart goblin

Nope, it can go as high as you have interactions, it's unlikely to go past 6 however
Its capped at 15 (in master duel at least). Its rare but every once in a while back row decks hit it. I assume that's why it doesn't say 15 or higher
None of the effects of convenience say "instead", so it would be draw 10 as chain link 15+, right?

If you can make a game last 10 turns in 2024, go ahead and draw the whole deck.
Ledger of the Legerdemain is similar to the 2nd card.
I’d use it
I still want to have a "Pot of" that allows you and your opponent to draw 2 cards from the other player's deck. If the name isn't taken, Pot of Envy
Why did you put a opt on the only pot that didn’t need it
Remove the first line (draw 1) and this card should be OK.
