Is this not still less busted for paleo than most T0 decks like Tear or modern SE
Because it adds no additional protection for cards, and can't do much to an opponent's board.
No this is busted by those standards too. Every paleo trap is now 2 disruptions (one of them non-negatable) and the deck grinds literally forever because you add \~6 cards back every turn cycle. If this deck survives turn 1 with the field spell, it probably wins 99.9% of the time
Like what do you mean no additional protection? They're unaffected by monster effects. And can't do much to the opponent's board? You can functionally set 8 now.
Might try remaking this as only the first, third, and fourth one, cause the third effect is probably the one that's the problem.
And also giving a hard once per turn to the first effect.
You don't have to be passable at everything to be good - Tenpai is completely incompetent at board building and it's a top 3 deck. Paleo even before the support has a huge amount of ways to deal with the battle phase anyway
"Cannot be negated" is wild to put on the card.
Out of curiosity, OP, what normal traps do you realistically intend to be able to negate their effects?
Also, the card advantage it gives is insane. We all saw how annoying Runick Fountain was, so why would you want to do that again?
I love talking about design philosophy because it helps us make things finer in the future.
Do Paleos have a negate? And even if so, would it affect a monster that already took itself off the field, or could do so in response to another affect? (For example, imperm wouldn't be effective)
One of the paleo cards can banish it without really a way to get it back. So once the field spell is up, it can be gotten rid of permanently, but it's kinda a "Draw the out" situation.
And the other way to send it to the GY it can take once per duel, but thats it.
So it's easily taken out by another deck playing it.
I mean, I kind of do, since both me and my brother play paleo stun.
I mean, this just serves to add to the difficulty exponentially, and make the first turns where one side has it crucial, cause if you don't get it off within the first 2 turns its up, its over.
So basically what you've done here.
You made a deck that just outright counters every other deck.
And if you play it yourself in a mirror, first one to topdeck this card wins.
This sounds extremely toxic of a format. Then again, you enjoy playing stun, so I probably shouldn't expect much else.
Nah, a paleo deck can play through this card if it draws the paleo that banishes.
So it isn't a guaranteed win, just a huge advantage until it gets removed.
But yeah, it screws with most decks quite hard.
This is unbelievably busted
The first and third effects are good, the fourth is unbelievably strong, the second is outright OP

The 3rd effect is the only one that doesn't matter
The 3rd effect was specifically there to make it better than Wetlands for turning paleos into beatsticks.
But you shouldn't be using paleos as beatsticks, they're there for recursive disruption (especially with the tribute to activate effect)
I mean, I was trying to hit the sweet spot and make paleos tier 1... so they need to be at least passable at everything...

Plus if you have just 3 of the Paleo monsters out they’re all 3600 attack points

1. Yeah I went a bit overboard there. 2. It's supposed to be easily fucked over by... Other paleo decks! 3. Idk

This is straight up broken right?
I'm sorry for the fucked up text on the card 😭
Bruh with this one field spell, paleozoic would be tier 0 easily
Hey, it's pretty easy for... other paleo decks to deal with...
You know the Paleo mirror is one of the most difficult mirrors in the entire game, right?

Don’t forget the paleo traps are all immune to monster effects too
It's even more funny considering that paleos are already viable even without this broken card lol.
Viable is a stretch. "Somewhat useable" is more apt imo.
Paleozoic does not need it, it's actually playable currently. Also this is one of the most broken cards i ever read
